"Finally. and just in time," Sora said softly as he broke through to level 7 Soul Condensation, stepping out of the spirit forest dungeon, Sora went on to head to the Volcano dungeon, where a bunch of warships was ready to enter. there was no death the last time they entered, which was something that shocked the world when it got out.

Sora looked at everyone before he entered the dungeon first, and with a step, he shot toward the dungeon boss, Sora shadow moved, taking hold of all of the monsters around him with cultivation at level 8 to level 10 Energy Condensation.

while their shadow was devoured, Sora devoured their string of life, killing them all in no time. as for the remaining monsters, he killed them all and absorbed all of their Death Qi, of course, did this slowly, not wanting to go berserker, and with the improvement to his cultivation, it was going to be harder to overwhelming him this time,

So, all of his cultivation systems reached level 8, Sora left leaving everything to the others to mine, and of course, this was all recorded. and so time passed, with the improvement to the city, new equipment could be built to better mine the dungeon, at the same time buildings were destroyed and new ones were rebuilt, far better than the old man.

Sora hired a formations expert to improve upon the city Qi gathering formations, allowing for the Qi within the village to reach new quality. Qi was not always in the air, it was brought into this world thanks to the dungeon and people taking spirit stones out.

over many years, Qi would of course fill the air. Qi gathers formations are normally built in surrounding cities. they draw Qi from the world around them, and force them within the city, allowing those within the city to be always absorbing Qi even without wanting to.

everything can absorb Qi, humans, animals, planets, rocks, and dust. the higher the density of Qi, the higher the quality of things within said area. Sora upgraded the Qi gathering formations, and even gave it some grade 3 spirit stones to fill the city with,

the number of homeless people dropped, the percentage of cultivators within the city improved, and most importantly, many people moved to the city. for a time, Sora was the talk of the kingdom, how could he not be? he was the only prince who looked as if he would take the throne.

Sora's eyebrow raised seeing this, but he turned his attention within and saw his dentation, there he saw the core he had formed. his core was colorless, that was because light couldn't be reflected off it as it would die. even so, it looked as if it was giving off black smoke, which made it look, weird and creepy.

Shaking his head, Sora looked at the ability this cultivation art gave him. for the core formation realm, it was called Undead refinement. In this realm, Sora can strengthen his undead, making them powerful and not useless.

Anyone afflicted by that status will want to flee the ability user at all costs. in other words, they will be unable to take any combat-related actions against that person.

Has a chance of causing Confusion. Confusion is a more severe version of Panic. anyone affected by confusion would not know how to put a complete thought together, they would not even be able to flee. You would have complete control over them in this state, as you can control their thoughts.

Has a chance of causing Insanity. Insanity is an extremely annoying bad status, being a permanent version of Confusion. Those affected by this can't move such an effect, it can only be removed by another party.

Has a chance of causing Instant Death. meaning, anyone with willpower far below the host would instantly die. no matter the strength, no matter items, abilities, and so on. their will shall shatter and they would die.

Death God Aura can also be infused into the host body, allowing the host attacks to a limited degree to bypass most defenses and resistances, and hit a target.

in his past life, it was just him, his mother, and his little sister. his father went to get some milk, back then the stores were huge, so he got lost. he sent letters back to them to support them, but being in the store for years, he seemed to have run out of links.

so, it was just him, his mother, and his little sister. his mother was ill, so once he reached the age required he began helping out around the house and taking care of his mother and sister. his mother loved his sister, and treated her as the golden child, meanwhile, he had to work, cook, clean, and take care of the both of them,

His mother wasn't bad or anything, she tried to help, but over time she grew weaker and weaker. his sister was no good, she was spoiled and anything that didn't go her way, she would start throwing stuff around the house.

Sora knew that his mother was dying, so she wanted to give his sister all the love she could give before she died. but deep down, Sora hated both of them. it was a pain in the ass, the stress of having more than 1 job was overwhelming, and the stress of taking care of his mother and making sure his spoiled sister had her way so that he could have some rest was overwhelming.

Within his 20s, he was already losing hair, but it was already this time he just stopped caring. heading on the bus, heading to work, he saw someone on the bus have a heart attack and drop to the ground. watching everyone on the bus panic to help the woman, something click within Sora's mind.

What's the point of life? What's the point of struggling when the next moment you would just drop dead? One day you would die, sure people might cry after for you but would they a few months later, would they even remember you? as quick as you appear within his world, you shall disappear.

Death wasn't scary. the scary part of death is being forgotten. your life work, your struggles, and everything else. what were they for? what impact would they have on anything in life? only those who can make their name last through the river of time are truly immortal. Hitler, Albert Einstein, Alexander the Great, and many more.

those people had a huge impact on history, but even they shall be forgotten soon. they would only become a passing through, which the new generation would have to look up to find.

Sure some might say something like, what you are doing today would support the later generations... fuck the later generation and the people of tomorrow. if life was indeed all about simply supporting their later generations and creating a path for them... is anything he was doing worth it?

All his struggles, all his hard work, and all of the sacrifices he made to this point. what would they do? what would they add up to? even if he never existed, life would move on. if he were to go mad right now and start killing everyone he could see, life would go on.

there are over 8 billion people on this planet, what impact would he have? how big was our star system? just how small are we compared to such a big space, thats not adding the galaxy which had a Radius of 52,850 light years. 1 light year is like 5.88 trillion miles or 9.46 trillion kilometers.

with all of this, Sora just stopped caring. he pretty much became a robot, everything he showed was nothing fake emotions. when his mother died, he didn't care. when his sister ran away, he did feel something. joke.

he, of course, didn't stop caring about everything altogether if he did he would have killed himself and not bothered to deal with such trouble. but he still wanted to live. so when his sister ran away, he didn't bother to call the police, he simply lived for his self-enjoyment, he had no big goals nothing like that. just sit back, enjoy the short things life had, and die.

He admits he was a hypocrite, looking at life as something meaningless, yet going on to live and wanting to enjoy such brings brought upon by life. but he didn't know what death had in hold for him, so simply enjoy it.

as for his sister, she one day popped up after 10 years, it turned out she made a name for herself and was this multi-millionaire businesses man. After so many years away from Sora, she realized how much Sora sacrificed for her and realized how much of a dick she was to him, so she wanted to make it up to Sora, and gain his forgiveness.

Sora could tell she meant it, but he felt nothing. although he was impressed she was now so rich, but that was all. She had nothing to be forgiven for, her treating him like shit all those years, he didn't care enough to take it to heart.

That was Sora's past life, although it changed upon being reborn... although he didn't know if he reincarnated and the memories of the past were unsealed, or if he entered the body of a dead person. he had no idea,

Sora saw that in this life stuff, he did was meaningful, being the god of death... tell me, how meaningful is that? All Sora cared for right now, was becoming the god of death. while enjoying every step of the way,

Sora just didn't expect his not giving a shit about stuff would cause his willpower to skyrocket. his willpower was not so overpowered that he was immune to pain or anything, but he didn't fear it. in fact, he feared nothing.

death? everything meets its end, so why be afraid of something that would happen sooner or later?

Pain? it would hurt, but it would also disappear. if not, get used to it.

losing loved ones? they would die sooner or later, just use them so that their death would have some use to you.
