Cultivating

"prince, are you alright?" Sora walked out of his room to see a middle-aged man waiting for him, this was the same middle-aged man who woke him up last time. he was his personal tutor, and the reason why he was so respectful was that Sora's life was linked with his. If Sora was to fail, he would fail at the cost of his own life. If Sora died, he would follow Sora to the afterlife along with Sora's maids and personal guards.

"I shall begin cultivating today, bring me some grade some spirit stones. I want a list of the current station of things within the city after i'm done." Sora said calmly as he walked off towards the kitchen where he wanted to get something to eat.

"... u-understood." He said in slight shock, although confused as to why a cripple wanted to cultivate, he guessed it had something to do with the prince almost dying. maybe this was a key moment to turn the prince's life around, he had to take hold of this chance. so he left and went to carry out Sora's orders. leaving a few maids to follow Sora, while others went to clean up Sora's room...

Sora ignored all of the looks of shock from the maids, all shocked by the sudden change in his appearance. with the new vines, Sora's body went through new changes, and his looks became deadly, which caught everyone's attention. Sora went to arrive at the dining hall, where he sat before a long table, seeing the huge amount of food made for just him, he shook his head slightly.

"from now on, there is no need to waste so much food," Sora said softly, stunning the maids behind him, which nodded. one of them went to report his orders to the head chief, while Sora watched someone eat the food first to make sure it wasn't poisonous before he went on to enjoy the meal.

He had to admit, the food of this world was far better than earth's food. even the water to drink in this world was far better, it was like drinking juice, but with the benefit of drinking water without any drawbacks.

After eating his meals, Sora got the spirit stones that were given to him. spirit stones can be mined within dungeons, these stones are what allowed humans to reach the current they were at today. Spirit stones were split into grades, Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3.

these spirit stones could be further split into low mid, and high. these stones came together to form the 3 lowest rank of spirit stones,

A grade 1 Spirit stone gave off a dark brown color, a grade 2 spirit stone gave off a grayish color, and a grade 3 spirit stone had off a silver-white color. the purer the color, the higher the value of the stone.

Sora returned to his room where he began to absorb the energy from the spirit stones, To absorb these stones, one needed to hold them and focus hard on drawing the energy from the stones into one body.

Simply absorbing the energy would strengthen a person, but that would waste a huge amount of energy. instead, the best way to use this energy which was absorbed was to have a cultivation art, this art allowed a person to channel the energy throughout their body, thereby giving a person different ability, and more power compared to those who simply absorb the energy and do nothing with it.

There were 3 main cultivation systems within this world. Qi cultivation system, Body Cultivation System, and Soul cultivation system.

Qi Cultivation System was based all around absorbing energy into one body and using said energy to show all kinds of effects. for example, Qi cultivation could shoot out energy beams, enhance the body with energy, and so on.

The body Cultivation System was based all around the body, this path can be slit into many parts as there were many ways for a person to strengthen their body. there was speed, strength, durability, and flexibility. those who walk this path are more physically capable than others, meaning even without Qi, they don't need to worry much.

The soul cultivation system is based on the mind and the soul, this path could give one a 6th sense which allowed them to sense the world around them, cast powerful illusions, or even go as far as have their soul leaves their body and take over the body of others

Sora was currently simply cultivating the Qi Cultivation system, and with the new vines he got, he was able to absorb the grade 1 Spirit stones at a high speed, quickly allowing him to break through to level 1 of Qi refinement.

there were a total of 10 levels in Qi refinement, each level also had its name as they brought upon new abilities. level 1 Qi refinement could also be called the Energy Gathering realm.

Sora opened his eyes and found that 5 hours had passed, and he had absorbed 5 spirit stones, which was shocking as he had absorbed a High grade 1 Spirit stone, a normal person would need less than half of the energy to reach level 1, but he needed 5.

'troublesome, but I guess this is the price to be overpowered' Sora thought as he stood up and stretched his body. Like most cultivation arts, the Death God cultivation art had something to offer with each breakthrough,

at level 1 Qi gathering, it allowed Sora to add a hint of death to his energy, which would kill away a person's lifeforce, ignoring their defenses if it touches them. this would mean, even if Sora can't hurt you, your life span would still take damage. this was of course, hard to defend against.

currently, it was only a hint. but as he gets stronger throughout the Qi refinement realm, this ability shall grow stronger. it might reach a point that simply walking through the street would cause energy around him to drop dead,

anyways, Sora got up and went to find his personal tutor, although it was already night, cultivators rarely needed to sleep. they could go for days or even weeks without the need for such things. the stronger experts didn't even need sleep unless they truly tired themselves out.

Sora was given a list of the city, and once he did, he couldn't help but sigh softly. as one might expect, with Sora never bothering the take control, those rich people within the city took this chance to do as they wished, leading to them growing richer while the poor only suffered.

"well, this is a troublesome matter. where is Yalan?" Sora asked lazily, Yalan was his personal guard, she was a powerful expert, and could be considered the strongest person in this city.

"... well, the prince's past actions have been... well, not to her liking. she has been drinking her anger away." Sora's tutor said making Sora sigh softly. thinking for a moment, Sora got up.

"Well, for now, I guess it's best to let these rich guys act high and mighty. I will deal with them later. they would most likely try and run away within the next 2 or so years. more than enough time." Sora said softly, each city was built around a dungeon, the higher grade of the dungeon, the bigger the city needed to be.

Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold, and Diamon were the grades for a dungeon. the city which was given to all of the princes and princesses were cities that had the iron grade as the highest grade. don't look down upon an iron-rank dungeon, the highest-grade dungeon within the kingdom was a gold-rank dungeon.

when a dungeon is not cleared within a set time, there is something called a dungeon outbreak. It's when the monsters from the dungeon spill out into this world. Sora guessed that those rich guys would run away before the time for this to happen.

they were all sent to a city that had a dungeon outbreak around the same time, which was within 2 or so years. many would try and flee before then, but Sora was sure he could get them all to become good slaves by then.

Sora looked at his stats for a moment before his eyebrow raised seeing the improvement in his lifespan.

{host, the reason for the short lifespan is that a person's cell is always splitting. this cause the cells to grow weaker and weaker over time, leading to death, absorbing Qi into the body leads to these cells getting a boost, although the effect is limited. with the host cultivating the Death God Cultivation Art, your lifespan would be far higher than those of the same level. you are more resistant to death.} the system said to which Sora nodded slightly,

"bring me some grade 2 Spirit stone. I can now cultivate, so I should spend my time cultivating." Sora said as he got up and left, he couldn't do anything now with his current strength, so he needed to cultivate.

and he did just that, for the next few days, all Sora did was sleep, eat, and cultivate. a week passed, and at least, Sora burned through all of his money, forcing him to stop. but by then, he was at level 7 Qi refinement also known as the Energy Manifestation realm.

In this realm, can use their energy to summon beasts or even wings that could send one flying through the sky. In this stage, one could take energy and give it a shape, turning it into things like dragons, tigers, boulders, enormous hands, etc.

Without Spirit stones, Sora turned his eyes to those rich families, and soon his eyes landed on one of the weakest families within the city, and he called for the family head to come and personally meet him.

"Prince, this humble one answer the summons." a blonde-haired man said with a bow, before him, Sora stood with his back turned against him, while he simply looked at a few books.

"Sir Fu, your family has done many bad things in these past few months. it pains me to see someone like yourself getting into some dirty business like slave trading and trafficking." Sora said, stunning the blonde-haired man on the spot.

"your crimes are all listed there. I honestly don't care if you did it or not, but what I do know, is I can make you and your family an example to scare the others." Sora said calmly as he turned to look at him,

"you can't just..." the man wanted to speak back, but Qi's body exploded with Qi, causing him to shut his mouth in shock. he was only a level 10 Qi refiner, and Sora's strength was shockingly able to make him hold his breath.

"you been hiding your strength?" he asked in shock, the trash prince was secretly capable of cultivating, this was heaven-shocking news. if it got out, the whole kingdom would be shaken.

"That depends, am I talking to a dead man?" Sora asked calmly, making him swallow his saliva slightly. but in the end, he lowered his head. did he dare to go against the prince? of course, now, he belonged to the Fu clan, one of the weakest clans within this city, they only had 1 Energy Condensation realm cultivator, which was their hold ancestor

"That's good, I thought I would have to send my people to your place and flip it outside down," Sora said with a smile before he pulled out a book, which he began to write down. seeing that book, the Fu clan leader felt as if he was looking at death.

"Well, I will write down how things would play out when you betray me. Your most beloved son, Fu Long would suffer from unimaginable pain before dying 3 days later. your beloved wives would follow a day later, followed by every member within the Fu clan, then you... of course, the condition is you betraying me in any way shape or form. but the moment your loyalty within this prince returns, it shall stop." Sora said as he shot the book, which disappeared a moment after. the Fu clan leader felt unease for some reason, but he simply nodded.

"Well, I wish you the best. the money gained from your legal actions is to be handed to this prince... well, you can be on your way." Sora said with a smile, The Fu Clan leader nodded slightly and simply left. Sora watched him leave for a moment before he sat down. what he wrote down in the death book just now was a bunch of Fu clan leader names, along with the many Fu clan member names he knew of.

but they would not die or be effect by the book in any way unless they meet the conditions, for example, if the Fu clan leader were to go and try and tell someone what happened just now, he would find that he couldn't speak about, it would become a fog like memory, it's only when he loses the will to speak about it that the memories shall return.

Sora sat before a computer and opened it to a computer, which showed a live image of a person's cell. this person within this cell is the person Sora has been testing on. Sora found that the Death Book could be used for so many things other than simply killing.

for example, let's say someone was far stronger than Sora. Sora could simply write within the death book that he felt a calling, and went to the place where he felt that calling, only to be killed back nearby enemies, or only for him to enrage a young master who had said the person killed.

the death book controlled karma and fate, something which was extremely hard to defend against, of course, the stronger one was, the less effective the death book would be. and if a person could trace this link of karma, they would be able to find Sora.

currently within the live image, Sora watched as the person within the cell broke through his bottleneck. Sora's eyes narrowed seeing this, he wrote down within the death book that this guy would break through to level 1 Energy Condensation, and indeed he did. and instead of using Qi, he used his lifeforce to make the breakthrough.

the person stood up in joy, but he quickly began aging at a high speed, only to fall dead to the ground. Sora pulled out a notebook, which wasn't the death book, and went on to write something down.

'it's possible to use something other than Spiritual stones for cultivation, I should look deeper into this, with a longer lifespan, one could in theory just use their lifespan to break through a bottleneck. there should be a far more effective way to do this, without the cost of death. minimize the use of lifeforce while also maximizing the profit.' Sora thought with bright eyes, for this, he needed a farm where he could do his experimenting.
