Chapter 70 Heart of the Problem

"How can someone so beautiful be so ugly in nature?" Cruella asked herself.

"Sometimes, the outward appearance of a person or a thing belies the true nature of it. Anything, any living thing is harmless until it is provoked and yet most fear what looks unpleasant. Most of us are drawn to the things that please the eyes and yet many of those could be considered harmful. It is not a hard and fast rule but something to remember. Appearance can be apparency."

Pondering her final assistant's words Cruella nodded. He was saying the truth. In this group of universes, most would hope that pretty things are good and ugly things are bad.

Cruella knew from experience that the best traps in the universe looked beautiful with divine aesthetics, but not all divinely aesthetic items were traps. She smiled and thanked her assistant for the reminder. She had forgotten one of the simplicities of the universes.
