Chapter 60: Proposal

The roof of the house was loaded with snow so I have to climb up and shovel it down then after few hours of working, I finally finished clearing every snow off. I went back inside the house and Belfast served me some hot tea and snacks. Everyone is out right now for some unknown reason and only me and Belfast remained at home.

After eating the snacks, I lied my head down on Belfast's soft lap which felt really comfortable and she didn't mind it as she even gently rubbing my head with a smile. It was feeling of heaven until when I slowly opened my eyes and saw Shizu-nee staring at me with her eyes squinted.

"Seems like you're enjoying her lap pillow."

"Oh, welcome back, Shizu-nee. Where did you go?"

"My siblings over my home world want to see Fuyumi or Little Enty. They really like her and thought that she was my daughter." she answered me and sighed.

"She is your daughter. Both as Enterprise and Arata Shizuka."

"Uuu... To suddenly become a mother... I wasn't really prepared." she was complaining to me.

"I'm already taking the father figure. What are you worried about--Huh?"

Shizu-nee was looking at me with her eyes twinkling.

"Does that mean we're like a married couple now?"

"I said, I will become her father figure, not your husband."

"Why not? Your big sister can't be a bride anymore. Just become Fuyumi's real father." she lied down on top of me and she snuggled on me.

"Hey!"

"Fufufu..."

"Onii-sama! Onee-sama! That's unfair!"

Lolisa arrived home together with Kurumi and she suddenly jumped on us.

"Hey! That hurts!"

We went to the kitchen and sit down together on the table while Little Bel and Fuyumi was watching kid show on TV.

"What happened to Shiori?" I asked.

"She asked us to sent her back home and we brought her to Fraxinus for check up." Lolisa responded then she took a cookie on the table and munched it.

"Is she okay?" I got a little bit worried about her.

"Don't worry, Onii-sama. It's just her having a period. A normal thing to us girls."

I now felt more bad to Shiori.

*Bam!*

Suddenly, we heard the entrance door slammed open, hearing someone running inside.

"Haru-kun!"

It was Yunyun, calling for me then she arrived here in the kitchen and grabbed me on the wrist.

"What wrong, Yunyun?"

"Everyone is being summoned in the guild. You have to come with me."

"Only the available, right?"

"We haven't been active lately. Let's do some mission at least once."

"Okay, okay!" I stood up then let myself pulled by her.

"We're coming too." Shizu-nee and Lolisa together with Kurumi followed after us.

It's already dark outside when we arrived at the location which a dungeon and I saw Kazuma and his party going against Darkness wearing a mask. Darkness was possessed by Vanir's mask; one of the demon king's general who likes trolling around just like me. He was using Darkness's body to defeat the Adventurers around.

"Haru-kun, we have to help them!"

"No need, Yunyun. We'll just get in their way of paying their debt."

"Huh?"

"If we defeat that thing possessing Darkness. They will miss the chance of getting the bounty reward in that Demon King's general head."

"Then you should at least give them a little help please. I can see that they're having a trouble."

With her adorable teary eyes looking at me while she's begging, I'm having a hard refusing at her request.

"Yunyun, that's unfair! You know how weak I am to your charm--"

Suddenly, an energy arrow was launched behind us and hit the mask possessing Darkness and destroyed it. Everyone froze in shock with what just happened.

"Huh?"

I glanced at Shizu-nee and she immediately shook her head, leaving me with only one conclusion. Turning around behind our back, I saw Fuyumi equipped with her bow weapon and she was the only one who has ability to launch energy arrow aside from Shizu-nee. Now, Darkness was freed from the possession of demon king's general.

"I did it, Mama! I hit the bad guy and save everyone!"

Fuyumi was very happy and she jumped and hugged her mother who has awkward reaction. Seeing the child being happy, I can't even get angry from she did and I would like apologize to Kazuma and his party for taking away the last hit.

When we returned back to the Adventurer's Guild, I am clapping with everyone while watching Fuyumi received the heavy looking bag of money from Luna. Kazuma and his party looks dejected on my side, seeing the supposed their reward money was taken away from them by a smol child.

"Don't worry, I'll split the half of the reward money to you guys."

Their eyes widened and both Aqua and Kazuma kneeled in front of me and embraced my leg while crying.

"Haru-san!"

"Thank you very much! I owe you a lot!"

I treated everyone in the guild with drinks and they had a party, celebrating the defeat of one of the demon king's general. I didn't join the drinking and just spoke with them for a bit then I left the guild early with my companions and Yunyun seems to be unhappy with it.

"Yunyun, you're still too young drink with them and it's the same thing with me."

"I know but..."

I also can't drink in front of the children because it will be a bad influence for them.

When we arrived back home, Belfast and Little Bel has prepared us a banquet for dinner. We ate happily together and celebrated Fuyumi's achievements which made think that Arata's family future was looking promising.

Before midnight, I was still awake in my room, reading a book when Yunyun knocked on my door and I let entered inside my room. I didn't asked anything and just sat on her side in the bed then I embraced her from behind. We lied down on the bed together while cuddling as I kissed her in the forehead.

"I love you, Haru-kun. Ah. Hehe... I said it without getting embarrass this time."

She snuggled and rubbed her face in my chest knowing the fact that she was just lonely and she wants a company which I can provide as her boyfriend. To make her not feel alone and stay by her side, making her feel that she was being loved.

"I love you too, Yunyun."

"Haru-kun... I hope things stayed like this forever. Shizuka-oneechan, Lolisa-san, Belfast-san, Bel-chan, Fuyumi-chan, Kurumi-san and Shiori-san. I love everyone in this house."

"That's one I can't guarantee you to happen. Everyone has their own path to follow and they may leave this house someday even whether you like it or not."

After hearing my words, her grip on my shirt has gotten tighter.

"Everyone here likes you. If it's you, I know you can make them stay here longer. I'm aware I'm being selfish but I just want to be with everyone."

"That would make me unfaithful to you and I don't want that."

Yunyun gazed to me and she smiled.

"I don't mind you taking mistress or lovers as long as I'm always your no. 1."

I felt something was suspicious and I stared at her longer.

"And... who taught you this? Was it Lolisa or Shizu-nee?"

"Eh?"

Her eyes was moving around and she can't give me a proper answer.

"No, it's just..."

I pinched both of her cheek.

"Haru-kun, it hurts... I already had spoke with Shizuka-oneechan and Lolisa-san about this."

"I see..."

"But I agreed to it because I love to be with everyone also."

I let go of her cheek then I sighed.

"If that's what you want then I won't hold back. But always remember this, Yunyun. I've been devoted only to you."

"Yes..."

"Before you make me do something unfaithful, I have to do this first to you..."

I took out a small box from my spatial storage and opened it in front of her, showing a gorgeous silver ring inside.

"Yunyun, will you marry me?"

Yunyun's eyes widened in shock when I proposed to her.

"That's..."

"Just answer me; Yes or yes?"

"You're not even giving me option to reject!"

"So, you don't want to marry me?"

"Of course, I want to! It just that..."

"I know I proposed to you too early but I just want to make you feel special to me."

"Really? Then... Yes."

I took out the ring from the box then I put it on her ring finger on her left hand. Yunyun looks very happy, seeing the ring in her hand.

"It's beautiful."

"Yeah, starting today, you will be my wife."

"Yes... wait, what?"
