Chapter 56

'Honestly, I might not care about a lot of things, but I do care about my two brothers… and about entertainment! There isn't even a TV, not to mention a phone. I miss the times when I just laid in bed for hours upon hours, reading novels or watching my series…

Now that I think about it, isn't it a bit boring too? Well, I guess the world prior just wasn't too large or magical at all. Those that never left their country might think that there is much, but I visited the whole world, and there is truly much, but for my young age of 29 to have experienced a majority of the interesting things, aren't there just too few?

Naturally there was a lot that just wasn't to my taste or too niche, but even if you liked all of it, you would at most need fifty years or so to do that. Here, in this world, just experiencing the great Emerald Brilliance Empire fully might take over fifty years of my life, just too good!

I want to become strong, so strong that I can just wander around the world and experience everything, and then come back to my home and act as much as I want! Here, I can have my freedom while also enjoy doing my favourite thing – role playing!

Before, I would do it alone, not even visiting those so-called Role-Playing events, although I was never too excited about them either… at most I would enjoy the RPG games, well, even they weren't as role-playing as I wished. I am very thankful to any god or whatever the figure wants to be called, for the chance they have given me to experience what I have wished for all my life.'

Ji Li's thoughts were drifting around a lot today, but he quickly came back to the catalogues and looked through them, deciding which ones to lent. He also thought of buying some furniture, in case they had nothing that interested him, but the variety was too large for him to complain.

In the end, Ji Li decided to take traditional furniture for the guest hall. There were many things that he had decided upon, not really talking about it too much with the other two, as there was not really a reason to do so. The hall wasn't a place they would frequent, at most it would be there for receiving guests, which none of them really cared about.

As the room would be elongated, he decided to make two seating rooms and one last praying room in the whole hall, more than enough to have several guests and not make it tight, while it was still designed in a way that was very appealing.

First off, all, Ji Li brought four sitting benches he would spread on each side of the two open rooms, then he bought eight chairs that would be at the corner of each room, In total, that would be enough space for over twelve people to sit on, which was already strongly hitting the border of Ji Li's comfort.

The whole hall was split into three rooms, so each one was relatively large, because of that, he also bought some tables and other furniture. Lastly, he ordered for there to be wooden sliding doors at the entrance of each room, separating the hall into three sections.

The first was the open guest area, the second being a discussion room which could be closed off by the sliding doors, which of course would have more than enough formations on them, while lastly, there would be the praying room that would be was there just for formalities.

Going to the praying room often gave one the sign to leave the building, as it is telling the guest the host wasn't available. The praying room simply had some candles, incense sticks and a praying table or altar as others may call it. They often prayed to a picture of respected person or some kind of god, the last being rather unpopular in this world, as the higher cultivators were literal gods to the others.

For this, Ji Li just picked a drawing of a past Eunuch he had respected much, the Imperial Eunuch Wu Lun, who had spent his whole life doing barely anything and became an Imperial Eunuch by advancing his cultivation in ultimate relaxation.

He is the role model of few Eunuchs, but very widely known for his indifference towards all that was happening around him, he became an important person that took in everything and just acted according to the orders of the Grand Imperial Eunuch of his time, if there were any orders at all, as even those above him didn't want to disturb his Dao of being indifferent towards all.

Ji Li soon finished writing down all the things he wanted for the guest hall and went further to the much more important stuff. He firstly gave Qianyu and Shixuan the catalogues and asked them "Who of you two wants to start? We will be making your rooms now, so you should tell me how you want your rooms to be build like. The bathroom can be universal the same, while we will change the living rooms to offices for work and make a universal living room in the Training Room."

Qianyu was the first to talk and replied "We can do that! Like that, we will be spending the dinner together, we are more used to it that way.

For my bedroom, I think I want the colour white grey with some wind-symbols! Since I am a wind elf, I will most probably awaken a wind talent, so it will fit more to me."

 To fulfil Qianyu's wish, Ji Li planned to make the room very simple and airy, to make it freer than restricting. For that, he decided for a simple white and blue bed that wasn't enclosed but still had a wooden structure, so Qianyu 'Monkey' can climb on the bed and sleep above it, even more free and airy if he wished to do so. Lastly, he added something in his mind that he would not tell Qianyu.

Ji Li went over to Shixuan, who didn't wish for much. He wanted to be close to the ground since he was an earth giant. Ji Li decided to make the room very large and place the bed as well as the table on the ground, and to give it a cave-like vibe, he made it so that only distinct sunshine would come in and give the room a warm yet enclosed look.

Lastly, for him, he took basically the same size of a bed as Shixuan but filled it with lots of pillows. The difference was that it wasn't enclosed at all and also not on the ground, a bit different from the others. He took on a green theme and added lots of flowers. Generally, his room looked a little like a small inner garden with a single bed in the middle.

He didn't really like having a table, and if he needed one, then he could go outside for a table. He was sure that he wouldn't really do any office work, the only reason Shixuan had a table was because he was often writing down formations and making talismans, while Qianyu was artistic on his own and liked to draw what he sees, which was also why he was the one that drew the map.

They then chose a basic bathroom design that they would just repeat three times. It wasn't really anything special, only a wooden room with a bathtub and some utensils, good enough to keep the warmth of the water. Naturally the water and the warmth would come from formations.

Formations truly made the life of the rich people easier, although the commoners had less luck in this regard… Ji Li could only be thankful for being born 'into' the Eunuch Palace. Well, the Emerald Brilliance Empire had several different things that helped the commoners, and it was one of the countries where commoners felt the most appreciated, so it wasn't too bad.

Having finished his own imagination, he slowly explained the general outline to Qianyu and Shixuan before writing down all the items that would be needed. He didn't show the list to them, as he wanted it to be a bit of a surprise.

Finishing the list, he went to the receptionist, feeling much better than before. He had been grumbling about being hungry, but now, after having relaxed and calmed down during his wild imagination session, he had finally come relaxed.

The receptionist was happy and thanked Ji Li and co. for their patience, took the list and lastly asked where the items were supposed to be placed. They didn't charge anything at all, which lightened Ji Li's mood again, as he had been worried about that.

The items he wanted weren't really cheap if bought, and he wasn't sure how much the Eunuch Trade Pavilion would be paying for them. Thankfully, he wasn't even asked for anything besides address, to which he gave them his yard and told them to place everything in the outer yard.

He would ask the workers and servants that were currently working on the Yard to help him move in the things and put everything in place, as he didn't want to do everything himself. The beds were really heave and a pain to carry, although he would be the one with the highest rank and cultivation among the many different servants, he still didn't want to waste too much time on it.
