Sun for the Rainbow

After she finally release me from her embrace, we could finally return back to the telepathic communication. However, it seems she has really limited words that she knows of. I ask her some questions, for example where is this place, but once again there's confusion in her eyes. Almost like she doesn't know herself. I wish she can better understand me. At least more words she can know to make a normal full sentence.

Suddenly, a mild headache comes out of nowhere and I wince a bit. I look at her and notice that it seems she's having it too. She shows a bit of a pain face for a minute. Somehow, it really breaks my hurt seeing her making those faces. Then, she closes her eyes as if to calm herself. Slowly, her expressions returns to normal. When she opens up her eyes, it seems there is something different about her. I mean like the aura surrounding her change.

'Master Alto Ace, thank you for giving me a name,' she smiles gracefully while lowering her head a bit. Wait a minute, she called me master?

'Yes, I must call Master Alto Ace as Master Alto Ace,' huh? Why though?

'It is because Master Alto Ace is the one who created Alta. So, Alta must call Master Alto Ace as Master Alto Ace,' her words are a bit confusing. I kinda understand what she means. When did I created her anyway?

.....

I just realize that I wish for her to appear didn't I? Like just now, how she suddenly can properly make understandable sentences after I wish for it.

It seems I can make any of my wishes come true. But, also it comes at a price I would say. Wishing for her existence cause me to be so tire that I immediately have to sleep. For her expansion of vocabulary, I only have a bit of fatigue and mild headache. So, I have the power of wishing anything, at the price of exhaustion and headaches. Almost a fair price I would say.

'Master Alto Ace, what is your bidding?' Huh? Bidding?

'It is because I am Master Alto Ace's servant, of course,' she says so with a proud smile. Calling me that would be problematic. How about just calling me Alto? I don't feel comfortable being call like that. It's like I'm a slave master or something.

'But, Master Alto Ace, it wouldn't be proper for Alta,' she implore me with her puppy-like upturn eyes. I almost give in there, but I can't back down for this. So, please Alta. Call me by name only.

'As Maste....A-Alto wishes then,' ah, she stutter a bit there. How cute.

Well, back to the matter at hand about me having the power of wishing. So..... I could probably wish for anything. How about wishing me back home? Even though, I enjoy a bit of my time with Alta here, but she's most probably just a fiction of my imagination within my dream. It's kinda sad, but I really can't stand this place anymore. I stayed here for far too long. So, I concentrate on my thought of going back home.

......

Nothing happen.

The wish can't be done? Well, kinda guest that wouldn't work. Probably, there's a limit to wishing, I guess. Then, I hear sobbing coming from Alta.

'M-Ma...Alto, wishes to leave?' Alta is looking at me with tears running down her cheeks. Suddenly, her legs buckle beneath her and she begin to sit down. Looking defeated.

'Alta sorry can't be a good servant. Alta knows I'm not enough for Alto. B-but........ Please. Please don't leave Alta alone!' She's pleading me with her hands covering her mouth. I immediately sit down in front of her and cup her hands in mine.

'No, no, Alta. It's not because of you,' she slowly stops crying, but some tears still remain on her cheeks. So, I wipe those away with my thumb.

'Then, what is it?' She ask weakly.

'It's because of this place. There's nothing on it. It's dark and empty,' Wait. I just realize this, but in a sense, I try to leave Alta in this forsaken world? Having the possibility that she's a real person or not within my dreams, it's better to treat anyone as a person.

'If this place is so dark and empty, why don't M-Ma......Alto wish for it to change?' Yeah, she's right. I mean I probably have the power to do so. Probably.

Hmm, how to change this situation, eh? A light bulb lights up.

'Hey, Alta. Have you ever seen the Sun?' She only shakes her head side to side.

'Alta doesn't know anything other than what knowledge A-Alto bestow upon Alta,' so, she really is like a new-born. Know nothing of her world other than knowing me being her master and creator.

'Do you wanna see one?' She nods vigorously. If I have such power of wishing anything, why don't I give a chance for others wish to be granted? I almost feel like the genie in the lamp.

'Alrighty, then,' I close my eyes and concentrate in my mind of wishing the existence of a star. A orange glowing star like the Sun. Not too big, not too small. Just the right size for this world. Also, remembering something important, I have to wish for this planet to revolve around the new star while slowly rotating on it's axis, just like our Earth.

Slowly, I feel my strength leaving me and replacing it with fatigue. A splitting headache comes to assault me as well. My whole body slowly turns numb. Finally, my body start to fall backwards as my consciousness leaves me. Just, before I hit the ground, Alta catches me from behind. Up above, I could see a shining bright light in the sky.
