1 An Cheng

An Cheng is a youth that seems to be 22 this year living in the dumps. If he were to walk down the street one would not cast a second glace, but if you were to look in the depth of his eyes you would see calmness, terrifying calmness. Even if Mount Tai would to fall down he would not bat an eyelid.

April 22, a week later immortality online would be launched. An Cheng was sitting on a plastic chair that would probably be sold for 15 yuan at the market outside of his shed. There he was just sitting, looking up at the sky as he sighed. He felt reminiscent of his childhood.

"Mom why does the sky go up every day?"

A little boy asked his mother. The little boy's mother answered a gentle tone

"Because the sun has its ways and its path it must follow."

The little boy looked at the sky confused, but he asked no more.

As he remembered his childhood he subconsciously let out a smile as he remembered the times he spent with his mother. When he finally recovered his calmness An Cheng got off his chair to go to his cart. For his daily living he was a street vender selling candies. An Cheng practiced making candies when he was a little kid since his little sister loved them especially White rabbit candies. She used to beg him all week for him to make them. When she ate them she would always make the most wonderful expressions, those faces he would never forget. They were really delicious, his top seller in fact.

On his way to his usual spot old man Chu and his wife aunt Fen greeted him.

"An Cheng still selling street candies? Why not come to my daughter's store she would love the extra help."

"Sorry uncle but this cart is something I can't give up" An Cheng politely declined. Old man Chu and his wife were a nice couple, but every time he greeted him they would always try to matchmake him with his daughter. They had good reasons to, An Cheng was a good guy, he would always help those uncles and aunties whenever they needed help even when they needed money... even though he barely had enough for himself.

When he was done sharing pleasantries with the uncles and aunties on the street, he went to his usual spot. The spot he took was not crowed but not empty either, there were always a passerby now and then that would buy his candies. This is how he made a living, not great but he enjoyed his work, especially the peacefulness. This day however was different from the rest and would end this peaceful life of his.
