Chapter 3: Chamber of Wisdom

Glowing magic circles appeared beneath each one of us and started slowly particles started to rise from our bodies.

"Everyone gather around!" Freya yelled.

Before we could even stand and go to each other, we got teleported.

When the blinding lights slowly faded I tried to look for my friends.

"Guys?"

"Is this the chamber of wisdom that screen was talking about?" I look around and this structure looked like the ones in the medieval period.

"Yes, it is. Also, it's not just a screen, we call it System."

"So cliche." Somehow, that made me cringe.

A beautiful soothing angelic voice surrounded the entire area. Then a large beautiful angel emerges from the statue in front of me. My heart started racing as its beauty is beyond anyone I'd ever seen. Green long wavy hair, shining emerald eyes accompanied by long eyelashes, not too tall and not too stumped nose bridge, and thin rosy red lips.

"You seem to be in awe of my appearance." The Goddess of Wisdom smiles sweetly.

"Ah... yes..."

"No need to be so nervous. I am Sophia, the Goddess of Wisdom. Are there any questions you want to ask?"

"Are the others safe?"

"Yes, of course."

"If I'm meeting you right now and so does the others, then you can be anywhere?"

"Yes and no."

"Can you elaborate on that?"

The goddess just smiles dearly at me and didn't answer my question. I just took that as something that can't be known by mortals I guess.

"I have no further questions."

"Are you sure? Do you not want to ask why monsters started appearing?"

"I've read about this in mangas and manhwas, it's probably because we were randomly chosen for something or gods play tools for their entertainment."

"Well, you're a bit right when you say god's entertainment, but it's not purely for entertainment, there's a reason for all of this happening. Shall I proceed to the main instructions?" Her tone started to be more serious.

"Sure, go ahead."

"Ras Yggrel, you are one of the humans destined to save universe 2e1c!"

"HA?!"

"The Almighty Creator has seen your potential and thus will grant you a skill exclusive to you."

"Wait! Hold on!" To suddenly put the burden on me saving an ENTIRE UNIVERSE! Heck, I only know about humans existing! Well, I guess I can't say that now after seeing those monsters that used to only exists in fantasies. Maybe there's even a different variant of humans out there.

"You will see the skill in your system. Please become strong to save everyone and everything in the universe."

I stood there in silence still questioning why me. I was just some normal delusional guy, I've never really done anything to prove myself.

"Why-"

*Ding*

{System update successful.}

"I've updated your system as ordered by the Almighty Creator. Please be guided on the quests provided in the system as this is for you to improve greater than the others."

"Who is this Almighty Creator you keep mentioning?"

"As one of his creations, all I know is that IT is the one that made everything."

"So, even the monsters? and that damned apocalypse?!"

"Yes." She smiles from ear to ear, chest up high as if so proud to be one of its creations. But all I can infer is that we are just its playthings for its own entertainment.

"Even this system?"

"Unfortunately, no."

"Huh? Then who?"

"The system has been around even longer than the Almighty Creator. Even the creator has its own system."

I guess there is someone greater than that damn creator then. Maybe the Almighty Creator is just an Administrator of a server perhaps. This universe even got a unique name. Then the first step of knowing the truth is meeting the Almighty Creator itself huh? As for the next step, maybe killing it and owning this universe. Ah, I started grinning again, I should stop that habit.

The goddess looked at me with a confused face.

"Oh, is there anything I should know?" I asked to divert her attention.

"The main scenario."

"What about it?"

"Well, even I do not know, it is for you to find out what it is."

"Seriously?"

"Yes"

"Not even a hint?"

"No"

"..."

"If you have no more questions then, I'll be bringing you back to Earth!"

"Thanks, I guess."

"Then 'til we meet again! AH! Before I forget, Earth is not what it used to be." She smiled at me while saying that.

"What do you mean?"

"You'll know once you get there."

I feel like I forgot something but I'm not sure why. I guess I'll rely on my manga/ manhwa knowledge.

The glowing magic circle appeared again under my feet then I was transported back to Earth.
