Passion...

The source of the finest moments;

The joy of love, the clarity of hatred,

and the ecstacy of grief.

It hurts sometimes more than we can bear.

If we could live without passion,

maybe we'd truly know some kind of peace.

But we would be hollow.

Empty rooms, shuttered and dank.

Without passion, we'd truly be dead.

Jabs here, crosses there, hooks here, uppercuts there. Katherine used all the techniques she learned from her boxing training. Eventhough, Drake have transformed himself into a vampire, Katherine can still coped up with his phase. She dogded, he dodged, She punched, he punched. Slipping, bobbing, blocking, cover-up, clinching, defensing their bodies on the punches their giving to each other. Their friends left them because Drake wanted Katherine to concentrate on her training without them pestering her. Suddenly, Katherine fell onto her knees. Drake immediately approached her.

"What happened?" Drake asked worriedly because of Katherine's paled face. "Battery low." Katherine said making Drake smiled. "Just stay here, I'll get you something." Drake said and immediately disappeared. With just a blink of an eye, Drake came back with an energy bar and drink on his hands. "That was fast, thanks." Katherine said with a smile.

"I think we're done for today, we can continue tomorrow." Drake said. "Your starting to regain your powers and they are consuming your energy." Drake continued. "Yeah, I will agree with you. Don't you feel tired?" Katherine said trying to breath steadily. "Not really because I'm on my beast mode." Drake said smiling. Katherine looked at Drake who became conscious of himself because of Katherine's gaze. "W..what are you looking at?" Drake wanted to slap himself because of his stuttering. "Can I touch those?" Katherine asked making Drake's forehead furrowed. "Your fangs?" Katherine said. Drake nodded and Katherine carefully touched his fangs. She don't want to repeat what she have done with her grandfather's and Amdis' fangs because Drake might rip her neck because of pain.

"When will I have those?" Katherine asked curiously. "Maybe on your 21st birthday." Drake answered. "Why my eyes are gold while yours and the rest are red?" Katherine asked looking on Drake's eyes. "Because you're special, Kath." Drake said looking at her too. Katherine can see herself on Drake's eyes and as if she was being hypnotize just looking on them. Drake is feeling the same and he is not angel that can't stop himself. He cupped Katherine's face and close the distance between their faces. He was about to capture her lips when he heard a clearing of throat behind them. They both hurriedly stood up but again, Katherine fell onto her knees. "Careful." Drake said helping her to stand. "Maybe you should carry her." Amber said with a teasing smile. "No need, I can walk." Katherine said but to her dismay, she tripped but Drake immediately caught her before her knee could touch the floor again. Without any word, Drake carried her bridal style and the three of them walked out from the arena.

As the three of them were walking along the hallway, Thana mind link everyone that dinner is ready.

"I think I should change first." Katherine said not looking directly at Drake. "Yeah, I'll change too." Drake said looking infront. Amber can feel the uneasiness of the two and she can't hide her smile. "I'll go first and tell them." Amber said and left the two.

"I think I can walk on my own." Katherine said. They are infront of her room. "Just open the door and I will leave you inside." Drake said and that's what Katherine did. Drake put her on the bed. "Can you stand?" Drake asked. Katherine tried to stand and she succeeded but when she tried to walk, she became wobbly.

"Take it easy, take one step at a time." Drake said holding her hand. Katherine felt something different on his hold. Its like a warm feeling that travels from her hand that spread throughout her body. She shaked her head to become sane again. "Are you alright?" Drake asked. "Yeah, yeah." She answered. "I think I can manage now. Go and change." Katherine said. "Are you sure?" Drake said and she nodded. "I will be back. Wait for me here and we'll go together at the dinning area." Drake said and when Katherine nodded, he left.

Katherine sighed, her heart is beating fast. "What was that?" She asked herself then she looked at her hands and still, can feel Drake's hands on them. She sighed again because the things happening to her right now are really confusing. First, she's a vampire then, came her powers, and now... "Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh." She said while messing her hair. After a while, she decided to take a shower and wait for Drake. She didn't wait long because after she had changed into a more comfortable clothes, Drake knocked.

"Ready?" Drake asked and Katherine nodded but was frustrated again because her legs didn't cooperate well. On her first step, her knees felt weak and before they send them Katherine back to the floor, Drake carried her bridal style again. "I thought you can manage." Drake said smiling. "Yeah, they were okay a while ago." Katherine said feeling shy. "Well, it's fine with me especially when we are this close." Drake said making Katherine blushed.

"Why are you taking so long? We're all famished here." Athan said mind linking Drake. "Do not disturb." Drake said making Athan smiled. "Paps is waiting." Athan said. "Shut up! We're coming." Drake said and he started walking, carrying his Queen.
