The Star Girl (1)

This world is called 'Five Chaotic Star Palace' . It consists of five humongous continents and four oceans. Each of them are, 'Eastern Continent and The Mysterious Sea' , 'Northern Continent and The Death Ocean' , 'Western Continent and The Wind Seashire' , 'Southern Continent and The Deep Abyss' , and all of them are connected by the 'Central Continent' and it's passage called 'The Red Passage'.

Su Chen himself is standing on the Eastern Continent which consists of two great lands which are split by a strait called 'The Yellow Strait'.

Right now, he walked around downtown of a city called 'Blue Snail' which is also where his family established their legacy. Yet…

"Everything is the same as I remember."

Said Su Chen to himself as he walked around in the market. As for what happened yesterday, he still regretted it but then again, what could he do? It's better not to dwell for too long since he could still fix what would happen.

Unfortunately, since he was attacked by a frightening beast in front of so many people, the world has seen it as he died. That's why he doesn't dare to suddenly jump around and decide to hide himself while preparing for what's going to come lest his enemies become wary.

He passed vendor by vendor, trying to look for a gem called Turquoise.

Turquoise is a pretty rare item in the Eastern Continent. Since it's usually formed in an arid climate, which could only be found in the northernmost part of the Eastern Continent. Meanwhile it's a common item in the Central Continent.

"I remember there was someone who had it around here. I need to find the person as soon as possible, before everyone knows about the stone."

Turquoise is known for its ability to store spirituality and that's also why everyone would try to get it as soon as its whereabouts began to spread. But there are things that they didn't know about it such as its other usage as a lamp, water container, and a lightning rod.

But it's understandable, even though there is magic in this world, the knowledge that they built in that era is not enough to uncover the mysteries of nature yet.

Su Chen however, as someone who roamed the eras would certainly know many things that people in this era haven't discovered yet. This one precisely, the knowledge of minerals came into circulation at the age of steampunk. In the era where spirituality plummeted, humans are forced to find alternatives to perform their magic. Hence they found a way to use nature to affect nature.

For example, Turquoise could store the surroundings spiritually because it has a certain property called phosphor which at a certain limit could be used to mimic the bones. Not only so, this property could also be used to trap light in the surroundings to be returned back as a lower form of radiation. As for its usage as a liquid container could be traced back to how it formed, so as you modify the inside using the spirit to de-combine the copper in the inside so it could absorb the liquid and store it inside. Though it couldn't be effective if you use it as a bottle since you need to open the stone or evaporate the water, but then again you could use it in a more specific situation. And as a lightning rod, it could be used to direct the pathway of electricity using its metal properties of copper and aluminum.

Even though Su Chen couldn't release and refine his own spirituality, at least he could use external devices to do things. That's why, right now he places the utmost importance on the green turquoise.

At this moment, as he walked in search for the gem a carriage moved past him. The carriage is built like a cage. While inside, there are humans locked up with shackles. The carriage was a slave transporter.

Su Chen sighed as he watched them being carried away. In this world, there's a power behind those who survived and lived a decent life. For those who don't, they could only struggle to make the ends meet. This is also what's happened to the Su Family. Once, they're respected because of their power and relation. Yet, right now one by one of its assets need to be sacrificed just so that its members could eat.

He still remembers the time when he neglected his sisters in pursuit of truth and immortality. At first, he wants to get stronger to help and protect them. But then greed and passion drove him to the path of no return as he slowly became apathetic to his own family.

At that time, he heard that his sisters finally couldn't make it. They ended up being sold as a slave after they got swindled by a certain merchant. Yet, Su Chen just shrugged it off like it was not of his concern.

By the time he got back to his senses, he realized that everything had gone wrong.

He remembers how he found out that his sisters had been dead by the time he searched for them. Su Lin, died because she had been murdered by some gangsters after she kick one of them in the balls as they tried to molest her.

While Su Hua, died because she offended a bigshot when she worked under a certain official. Actually, Su Chen could still save her if only he didn't being stopped at the gate because he disguised himself as a wanderer to avoid creating ruckus and being recognized by Su Hua.

However, his disguise turned out to only create a much bigger problem. Of course, as a result he annihilated all of the family members of that official and bigshot. Not even sparing any of the chickens or dogs, he killed them all.

But again, he couldn't get his sisters back after doing all of that. After that, he became more obsessed than ever in his search for Immortality. He hoped that he would be able to resurrect his dead family when he became Immortal.

But once again, he couldn't do it even after he got the Immortality. Not only so, he even made more and more mistakes, amassed more and more regrets, and losing more and more people to the point that he got nothing left, other than himself and his f*ckin Immortality.

That's why, since he already made it back, he's determined to cherish this chance and fix everything one by one. Right now he really needs the Turquoise Gem to deal with his current weakness of not being able to contain spirituality.

Just as Su Chen was trying to look at some items in a stall he felt a fluctuation of spirituality. He suddenly frowned when,

BOOM!

An Explosion occurred in the distance, soon being followed by a commotion.

"Sh*t, it seems that I'm late." Su Chen cursed.

Soon he and the other curious people went to the source of commotion to take a look.
