In the royal court of the palace, the Queen, Fiora Lightbringer, was sitting on her throne overseeing the chaos among the counselor, nobles, lord, and general in front of her.

Her light-golden hair was properly bun beneath her crown. Piercing eyes and long eye-lashes. She exudes both authority and dominance among her pierce and towards her subjects.

But as of now, her face was very solemn. Her Big brother has revolted and allied with the neighboring kingdom.

"Kill that traitor!!"

"Yeah! Does he think even he was a prince we would be lenient towards him! Naive!!"

"You fools!! Y'all bark but no bite! Do you all think war is an easy task? The Prince is still not confirmed revolting, so hold all your horses, y'all IDIOTS!!"

"What did you say!!?"

Queen Fiora's solemn countenance keep darker and darker, and then she shouted.

"SILENCE!!"

In an instant, the palace court became silent, loomed over by her dominance.

No one dares to say anything and just kept their mouth for themselves.

The queen was momentarily silent too as she was thinking something before saying.

"General Zar, maintain our military in high alert if something broke out even it small or big try to sought it out immediately as soon as possible."

"As you wish, your highness!!"

"Duke Lloyd, try to negotiate with Nix if we can avoid confrontation. Also, try to reach to my idiotic brother if he'll serious about this, if not, tell him his punishment would not be severe if he came back. I want the immediate report, do it as soon as possible."

"It will be done, your highness!"

Her decisive orders have immediately been acknowledged by his trusted subjects with both calmness and insightful decisions.

Then she continued.

"That's all for today... Oh, before I forget, I will not tolerate any mishap for all of you bastard, whether it is intentional or not, I'll cut your head off of your shoulder, got it? If so, dismissed!"

Her last sentence left the hall in silence.

His authority and dominance was no joke at all. They thought.

Her red piercing eyes that could as though read them inside made them drenched in sweat visibly.

The palace court immediately became barren as every one of them hastily road their horses or carriage towards their respective territory to wait for news of their queen.

"Is my mother alright? How are her conditions?"

Queen Fiora, who just left the palace court immediately reach the "Lightbringer Palace" where her mother was resting and palliating her sickness.

The palace doctors could only shake her head. "I don't think, the former queen, Queen Aqua, would last long, your highness. Her conditions are getting worse."

Queen Fiora felt an ache inside her chest hearing the doctor.

"To be honest, your highness. It is a miracle that Queen Aqua reach that age of 807. It really baffled me that a seventeenth-layers powerhouse could achieve. No one in history, even in the dark age, could reach what her highness manage to accomplish. But no less, this is inevitable to happen. Sorry, you're highness if I my mouth are being discourteous in your present!!"

The palace doctor immediately knelt noticing that his statement is stepping on the boundary where he shouldn't cross.

"...It's okay... Thanks for your services. Can I talk with my mother?"

"Of course, your highness! That wouldn't be an issue."

The palace doctor opened the door and she entered inside.

She immediately saw her mother on the bed, sleeping soundly, away from the conflicts that currently happening.

As though her mother could felt her presence, she opened her eyes slowly as her wrinkled face shift its gaze towards her.

"...Mother..."

Queen Fiora called her mother in a hoarse tone. It was visibly that she can't imagine being apart from her mother not now that her mother inevitable death on the door-step.

"My angel...how' are you doing...is everything fine?"

"Of course, everything fine mother. You have nothing to worry about."

Fiora said before and after she took a seat beside her mother's bed.

"Be honest with me...is everything alright?"

Now that she was so close to her mother, she could clearly hear her mother breathing between her words.

Queen Fiora kept her silence before speaking. "Did Joana told you?"

"There's no difference if she or she didn't tell me what's happening... All I need..is to look at you, my angel."

The mother and daughter look at each other eyes. Fiora broke the eye contact and she put her hand on her face troubled.

"...I don't know what to do with brother, Mother. You should have just given him the throne in the first place, not to me, Mother."

The former queen, Queen Aqua kept her silence, to solace her daughter's worn-out mind.

"Say, Mother... Did you already know that this is going to happen right?"

"...Yes... It's okay to blame me, my angel... I deserve it..."

Queen Fiora didn't respond.

"I was selfish, I was very selfish..."

"No mother! You just did it because you miss him!!"

"But still, that's not an excuse to neglect my son's dream, his dream to ruled our land and protect it from any dangers... Just because of my selfish dream... My dream to see him again."

Tranquility loomed over the room as the wind blows through the curtains, the two kept their silence.

"Then... Then don't die, mother! I'll promise you, I will grant your wish to see that BASTARD again!!!"

Queen Fiora stood up abruptly and strode, storming towards the door before her mother could even respond.
