1 Chapter 2

(A year later)

Peter Parker sat alone on his couch having a mental debate with himself about what he should do and what would be best for his family who wasn't home but visiting his wife's Aunt for the weekend. Things had gotten more complicated since Stanford and the Registration of heroes had split the hero community down the middle with Iron Man leading the Register Heroes and Captain America leading the Anti Registration heroes. Tony Stark wanted Spider-Man to side on his team but Peter wasn't liking what Team Iron Man were doing. Arresting unregistered heroes and throwing them in prison without a trail and in Tony's words will stay there until they agreed to join the right side. But that wasn't right and the situation gotten worse with what happened the other day.

A black man had saved a child from being hit by a car and then two racist assholes started to attack him. Spider-Man had quickly stopped the two, who excuse for the attack was that they were following the law, because since the black man wasn't resister he wasn't allow to save the child life. One of the raciest pulled out a gun which Peter immediately shot a web out of his hand before webbing the two guy to the wall. It might've been not too bad except at that moment one of Stark's Thunderbolts thugs know as Nazi Eagle (Oc character.) had arrive. Who was very clear a huge racists by all the Nazi symbols on him and who attacked Spider-Man and who fought to protect the black man. After knocking Nazi Eagle out and also webbing him up the cops who seen everything didn't try to arrest him but cheered along with the rest instead of booing the unregistered hero. Then Shield Agents began attacking Peter and forcing him to escape to protect the people, who began protesting against the SHRA, which of course made Stark and Shield look bad.

'Tony not going to stand for this and no will come here or send someone here to reel me in.' Peter thought and just as he did there came a knock on the door, "And speak of the devil." He sighed as he went and opened it. Standing there was his friend Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel wear causal clothes yet he saw the hint of her red and blue suit underneath. "Hey Pete." She said with a smile, expecting him to let her in but Peter didn't budge and Carol noticed the stare he gave her. Which made her feel guilty because of she knew that he knew why she was there for. "Can we talk?" After a moment Peter stepped aside and gestured for her to come in. Carol entered and Peter closed the door. "So ran out of innocent heroes to arrest on the streets that you decide to come to their homes?" He asked moving past her to the living room where the tv was still showing the images of Stark's press conferences. "Peter, do you honestly believe that we take pleasure in hunting down our friends?" Asked Carol sounding hurt.

"I honestly don't know anymore Carol." Said Peter folding his arms across his chest. "Because as a friend of a lawyer, you're supposed to demand equal treatment for everyone and yet captured heroes, without trails or lawyers, are just thrown in to cells like animals to keep cage up until they obey their new masters." Carol shifted but didn't budge. "I agree that isn't right and doesn't help the non register heroes see our cause as good. But the people voted for this and if we don't regain their trust then we all will be hunted down."

"Trust takes time Carol. You can't force your way it on people because that never works. The simple idea of the Registration and Stark plan for it doesn't sound to bad. Young heroes being trained, accountable, maybe the 50 state teams I can get behind." Carol started to look pleased but stopped by Peter's next words. "But I can't be part of how Tony and you are trying to get it to happen. The hunting of our friends, the unjust imprisonment of them for just saving lives, the working with villains such as Bullseye and Green Goblin, for God Sake Carol!"

Peter stared at his so called friend with fire in his eyes. "I don't care that he being controlled by a chip in the neck and suppose to on the side of the angels. You know what he did to me and now you want me to fight along side him like we're buddies against actual heroes and friends?!" Carol looked down. "I am in agreement with what you say about how wrong Stark methods are and makes us look like the villains. But it was because of irresponsible heroes that lead to Stanford Peter." Peter fists clenched. "I know." Carol puts her hand on his shoulder. "Peter you can join and be a symbol of how we should do things to stop more Stanfords and what happened the other day."

Peter's eyes narrowed. "So this is why your here. Because of what I did that made you look bad. I stop two assholes and a maniac from killing a innocent man and I get condemn to a cell!" Said Peter removing Carol hand. "And you didn't come here as someone worried and caring about me, but because I ruin more of your image of the Order you pretend behind." Carol shook her head. "I'm not saying what you did the wrong thing Peter. But…"

"But because I wasn't register what I did makes me a criminal. Just as Stark…" Peter gestured and glance at the tv. "Say Cap and the oth-." Peter stopped by what he saw on the screen. There was Tony Stark talking to the press, with Reed Richard standing next to him, and there was four images of Spider-Man, Spinneret and the faces of Peter and his wife Mary Jane with the caption. "Peter and Mary Jane Parker is Spider-Man and Spinneret." This was followed by other images of the other Web Warriors with their identities beside them. Peter turned back to Carol, who eyes were wide when she saw the tv. "Stark what the hell are doing, I told you to wait!" She muttered, which made it clear she knew his identity was going be exposed.

That when Peter began noticing shapes moving on the roofs across his building. Seeing weapons and Shield armor style. "Guess after betraying so many heroes, betraying ones you say you care about should be easy for you." Said Peter tensing as his Spider Sense started to tingled. Carol look horrified. "Peter I swear I didn't-." Then one of the shadows on the roof fired something at the apartment and making Peter's Spider Sense explode, he knew that only Carol, being indestructible, would survive the rocket that had been fire and crashed through the widow nearest to him.

Peter's apartment exploded the flames licking across his clothes and landing on a nearby wall he ripped them off to leave only his spider suit underneath. But before he could put on his mask bullets struck the wall nearest him and forcing Peter to take off swinging as the Shield Agents wearing jet packs chased after him. The Agents were always shooting live bullets and rockets that blew chunks off the buildings Peter swung past and he hoped that no one was hurt, yet the possibility was high as the flames of nearby rocket blast burned off some of Peter's hair. Who entered Time Square when one of the agents fire another weapon and Peter's web shooters stopped working along with whatever was in front of him. 'Weaponized EMP Gun.' Thought Peter as the shockwave of another rocket threw him into the Time Square red stairs. Peter groan as he laid on a destroyed steps with tears in his spider suit and through narrow eyes, half closed in pain, he saw the people of New York watching what was going on with scared expressions as the Shield Agents landed around him. One of them approached and pulled out his pistol as he said. "Say good night criminal scum."

'I love you MJ, May.' Thought Peter praying his family wasn't in a similar situation and that they can get away to safety. The Agent aimed his weapon at Peter's head and as he cocked the hammer back Peter also thought about another person, with long blonde hair, that he loved and wish he could've spend more time with. Peter closed his eyes as he heard the gun go off, but didn't feel the bullet which confused him and so Peter opened his eyes to find that the bullet had struck a blue force field that was enclosed around Peter. Which then sharp expanded outwards to send the Agents flying back, some managed to remember that they had packs on and saved themselves while others forgot in the moment and landed hard on the ground several feet away. The field disappear as Peter heard someone land next to him and felt familiar arms encircling his body as he saw and felt the blonde hair of the woman he was thinking touch his face.

"Get Away From Him!" Yelled Sue Storm as she held Peter protectively to her and stared daggers at the armored men and women. "Invisible Woman?! What are you doing? You are aiding a wanted criminal. Doing so is a betrayal of the Superhuman Registration Act and makes you a criminal." Said the Agent who had been about to shoot Peter. "If saving someone I love from a bunch of murders like you makes me a criminal then I become one proudly!" Said Sue with fire in her eyes as she raised her hand not around Peter, summoning another shield to protect them against the Shield Agents. Who raised their weapons to begin firing at the blue dome, about a hundred bullets hit the shield without breaking but then Peter saw an Agent pull out his rocket launcher. But just as the man raised it to fire something red and apparently to be on fire suddenly appeared and attacked the Agent, who cried out as he stumbled back with his launcher taken from him and held in the jaws of a certain demon dog. "Charles?" Said Peter incredulously and then a bunch of more surprising things happened. A whip made of light grabbed both the Agent that Charles took the launcher from and the Agent standing next to him, before the light yanked them sideways into a sudden appeared blue portal. That disappeared and reappeared behind two more Agents and the thrown Agents flew into them hard. "Hunter?" Peter said seeing Charles owner, The Hunter, wearing her black and gold outfit with a similar hood and face mask over her head, and holding her two swords in both hands that she began using to slash the Shield Agents weapons in half. Which was replicated by the other folks to arrive at the party with their blades were Magik and Blade, while Robbie Reyes the Ghost Rider swung his fiery chains to wrap and send more Agents flying. Dark purple ravens swarmed over some foes sent by Nico. Wanda the Scarlet Witch disarmed more soldiers which allowed her husband Nightcrawler to teleport in to knock them out.

Charles moved to stand guard over Peter and Sue as they watch members of the Secret Avengers arrive to help deal with more of the Shield Agents, though the helicopters were closing in and would turn the battle in Shield favor. Along with Carol, having brush off the debris of Peter's house, heading towards the Square to no doubt to ensure that Cap didn't get another soldier. "Fall back!" Cap ordered and Luke Cage came over to help Sue carry Peter through the portal Magik opened. "Wait!" Carol yelled, diving towards them with glowing photon fists until Hunter surprised her by using another light whip to grab and slam Captain Marvel into the ground. Where she laid with a foot on her chest and the tip of the Hunter's blade inches from her throat. "You and Stark are no longer Midnight Suns!" Hunter said firmly, glaring at Carol. "I thought you were a woman of honor Captain, but betraying a friend isn't honorable at all." With that Hunter left Carol to walk through the portal next to her girlfriend Magik, who said as the portal closed. "We'll be in touch to inform you of a threat to the world! Stop being one yourself!" For one long moment there was silence before Carol got to her feet and then the crowd that been watching the whole thing started booing and yelling angrily at Captain Marvel, the same people who had cheered a week before believing she was a real hero and not a villain.
