As Alex looks at Derrick up and down as he couldn't believe a person around his age already had a child and a 10+ year old at that "bro how old are you" asked Alex as he looked suspiciously at Derrick which made Derrick blush a little bit with embarrassment if he didn't know better he would think Alex was pimping him out "I'm only 24 and stop looking at me like that shit is creepy" as Derrick thought to himself 'did I meet a creep that wants single fathers?' While Derrick was having his struggles so was Alex he was still looking at Derrick while he thought 'what the fuck bro had a kid when he was 14??' Looking at derricks face that looked like he wasn't lying then he took a closer look at Derrick while thinking this made Derrick nervous because he didn't know if Alex was gonna ask him out or something he's been acting strange but before his mind could wander some more Alex finally talked "let's go back to the counter I forgot to buy something" said Alex as of now they were pretty far away from the counter Derrick who looked a little relieved said "sure thing man let's go"

"Hello sir's have you forgotten about something?" Asked the same young lady as before still with a with a wider smile seems she gets benifit from selling thought Alex as he said "yeah I would like to buy another eternal pod please with 3 intermediate nutrient solutions" said Alex leaving Derrick suspicious as he looked at Alex while the young woman was ecstatic not everyday can she sell this much eternal pods as they were so expensive even the vr head piece was way more expensive than any available on the market right now, "sure thing sir please scan your phone" said the young lady with the scanning device "um just one thing can you change the address to his" said Alex as he pointed at Derrick who was shocked before he could even refuse the young sales lady worked extremely fast to put in his address as they were her previous customers it was still fresh before Derick could even say a word the transaction was completed 'damn she works too fast she saw I was going to decline it she didn't even allow me to defend my dignity' cried Derrick internally at this point there was no need to even decline as it was already too late

Alex and Derrick walked out the store alex had a big smile on his face while Derrick followed him like a corpse "hah man I'm hungry you want to get something to eat?" Hearing no response he turned to look at Derrick who looked dead inside "yo bro you good is this about the eternal, don't worry about it I don't want your body as payment" said Alex but this did not help in the situation as Derrick still looks the same seems like the lack of social experience finally caught up with Alex "ok bro take it as payment for saving my life bro and I still need your phone number so we can play together in 2 days" said Alex rather helpless it seemed as Derrick finally felt better as he just got back to his goofy smile as he patted Alex shoulder saying "haha it was a small matter not worth that much but yeah let's play together here's my number" said Derrick as Alex just gave him a side eye 'how much do you think my life is worth..' thought Alex as he took out his phone ready to save his number, after saving his number alex asked again "do you want to get something to eat?" Not understanding the uncomfortable position he put Derrick in after a few seconds of visible struggle Derrick put on a serious face as he said "sorry man but I have to prepare breakfast for my daughter she should be waking up in an hour or so" said Derrick while on the inside he said 'damn I hope I don't sound ungrateful after he bought me the pod but I really need to make her breakfast and celebrate her birthday' while Derrick was having his moral dilemma alex on the other hand was thinking that it was a shame as he doesn't like to eat alone in public without having knowledge of the troubles he put Derrick through "it's cool bro I'll hit you up when I get home"

Riding through the beautiful city in a car seeming to be a taxi was Alex as the car made its way through the city alex was captivated by its beauty its futuristic design made for maximum efficiency it all looked so beautiful but felt so cold he was disconnected from this world he calls home 'it's so beautiful yet so cold this is probably why I preferred the game world this place holds no place in my heart from an orphan to an adult I never felt like I've belong but that place I can carve out my own destiny I can be whatever I want' thought Alex as he looked out the car window rather nostalgic as he thinks of that world he spent hundreds of thousands of years in there, he was still a lonely shut in by the age of thirty here but there he was the king of a ruined world with the knowledge of the future he can take advantage of the first month to acquire riches and create a legend thought Alex as the thought of conquering the server again boiled his blood
