"Wait... Did it just say it can grant me countless talents?" Keith asked himself, his cheeks began to enlarge.

"Yes!" Keith shouted, swinging his arms with his fist clenched. "Yes! I can awaken my talent if I kill three Tier-0 monsters. Awesome!"

'Now, I can wipe off the shame of inferiority and weakness from my clan. But that's only if I kill three Tier-0 monsters. Hmmm.'

Keith thought for a while. Though he was delighted and relieved, but the requirement for his Talent Awakening made him a bit nervous. However, Keith wasn't going to let this opportunity go by. Tier-0 monsters might be the weakest among the others, but still, a single one of them could take down a whole village without stress.

Monsters were known as extremely dangerous creatures that suddenly appeared from nowhere. At first, they were considered as Demons who were being sent by Dark Orcs into the Blue Planet. But later on, the humans discovered that these monsters were only created from the heavens. The Top-tier heavens to be precise.

There were three heavens in existence, these heavens have gods who govern them. The Low-tier heavens are overseen by a group of six gods. However, as the gods of the lowest-tiered heaven, their duty was to keep an eye on the universe, and report cases to the Mid-tier heavens. The Mid-tier heaven's seventeen gods bestow talents to every soul and take care of the universe's condition.

Shamefully, the Top-tier heaven's gods sit and watch the universe. Nonetheless, they were the ones who created the monsters. The humans seemed to have failed humanity, and the Top-tier gods were in preparations to give the glory of humanity to the Specters and Dark Orcs and wipe off humans from the face of the earth.

Actually, they created the Specters and Dark Orcs in the first place, plunging the multiverse into complete chaos.

Monsters are up to ten tiers. The higher the tier, the more brutal it could be. Though only Tier-0 and a little group of Tier-1 monsters could be found in the Menace Forest, but their presence close to the walls only added to the fear of the humans towards the Specters particularly.

The last time a monster penetrated through the walls, a total of 43 Commoners' lives were lost. This was why the Awakened were assigned to protect the walls... Not just because of the attacks of monsters, but also because of the unexpected raids from the Specters.

Until today, after seven years, no one has dared to enter the Menace Forest, but Keith was about to break that record. Three Tier-0 monsters would go down today!

Keith progressed forward and made his way towards the Brexton city's market. Since the previous night, Keith has not filled his stomach. As a poor chap from an impoverished clan, Keith could barely eat regularly. Since he turned sixteen, Keith had been the one to supply his needs, much less his wants.

He recently worked as a farmer in the fruit fields of the Eastern Territory, spending most of the day climbing trees and stuffing fruits for distribution all over Eastern Territory. His daily payment could barely sustain him, but Keith had no other choice. People from weak and inferior clans like his find it hard to secure good and beneficial jobs.

Nonetheless, why would the rich look for jobs?

Keith just has to work as an employed farmer to make ends meet.

Keith approached a bun vendor at the exterior part of the market. He was glad that he wouldn't have to go through the crowd just to find a bun store. Most times it happens like that for a lover of bun like Keith. Somehow, today seemed to be blessed.

"I need five buns... You can add one as a gift for me hehe," Keith said with a playful smile, dipping his hand into his shirt pocket to bring out the five pence he had.

The Blue Planet only has two currencies: Redi and Pence. Fifty Pence makes a Redi. As an inferior coin, pence is mostly used to purchase domestic wants and minor items. Shamefully, Keith couldn't remember when he had a Redi of his own. His pay as a farmer was as cheap as 20 pence daily.

"I'm not giving you any for free... You ordered for five, and I'm just going to give you that," the bun vendor said with a slight smile on her face. Keith frowned.

A bun cost a pence, so five buns was exactly what his money could get. After paying up and receiving what he bought, Keith turned and walked away.

Five half-fist-sized buns weren't enough to fill him up until the next day, but it would sustain him at least.

Keith's aim after eating the buns was to go hunt for the Tier-0 monsters. Since his energy and strength had increased, he was absolutely sure about killing three Tier-0 monsters.

Just as he drank down the very last piece of bun, the Immortal Mage System appeared again.

——————————

[You have eaten. +30pts added to your Stat Points].

[Your Energy has increased. +40%].

[Your Strength has increased. +40%].

[Your Agility has increased. +30%].

[Your Health has increased. +20%].

[Your Endurance remains stagnant].

The system announced and dinged off, leaving Keith speechless and shocked. Just like most system books he had read long ago, the host is notified of his attribute and stat changes. Seeing this happening to him, Keith became more astounded than excited.

"Interesting! I love this..."

Keith yelled in delight and continued his walk. Now, he was heading to nowhere but the Menace Forest.

Soon, suddenly, everyone in the market area began to run... It was as though the monsters in the Menace Forest had attacked. However, Keith doubted those thoughts when he heard no roaring sound. Not a single monster was seen.

The whole market was in commotion, with sellers rushing out from their stores. The sounds of footsteps alone could tell that the situation was severe, much less the screams and alarms that shrouded the atmosphere.

Keith tried to stop some people running past him, but no one was willing to stop or to leave a word. Now, it seems as though this commotion has hit the whole Eastern Territory. The huge and loud sounds Keith heard could tell.

Keith was dazed.

He thought of joining the race, but he halted after a few steps and placed his hands on his waist. "Why am I running like a fool when I don't know the cause of the race? That's ridiculous," Keith cursed.

After those words, he turned east to scan the area only to see his cousin, Sage. With a smile appearing on his face, Keith called:

"Hey, Sage! Come on here."

Before gesturing to her, Sage was already approaching him. She looked worried and exhausted, but still, Keith could sense the urge to run for a thousand miles in her. Just like everyone else.

"What happened, why is everyone running? Did the Specters attack?" Keith asked, worried.

"Nah, not that," Sage paused for a while and continued, "Unfortunately, we lost the Supreme Warlord."
