Aletheia:I Suppose This Will Have To Do~ Ch.4

Unexpectedly Aletheia and her small gang ended up walking for quite the wall until they finally reached the camp base the humans had set up. Another unexpected thing Theia (short for Aletheia) found out was Adelia wasn't the most patient person.

"Ugh~ Why did they set up their main camp so far away? Why not just use the mine as their home base?" She complained aloud earning the slightest of chuckles from Theia.

"For reasons such as me... In case of trouble or accident wouldn't it be wise to have a place you can retreat too?" She explained in a way a mother would to a child. Over their short journey they had gotten a bit closer... well close enough that Adelia didn't feel the threat of death looming over her neck whenever she met Theia's eyes.

"This year I make 25, so no need to treat me as a child mistress" Adelia complained further and continued to pout.

"Everyone is a child when you're as old as me hun" With another small chuckle Theia made a small gesture indicating the end of the conversation as she approached the gate of the human fort. Well fort was a bit of an exaggeration for there was only a single building surrounded by countless tents made from the hides of various animals. Even the gate and fence that stood before them was shabbily from the trunks of nearby trees. Well at-least the fort was shabby in the eyes of Theia... The humans would probably beg to differ.

Speaking of humans...

"You four! Identify yourselves at once!" A masculine voice boomed from overhead catching the attention of both Theia and Adelia while the two thralls behind them remained stiff and unresponsive.

"You four are trespassing on human territory! If you do not identify yourselves we will be forced to remove you all from the area!" Seeing that they aren't responding, the guard standing up in the ramparts frowned and rose his hand high in the air as if to signal for something.

Theia simply scoffed and ignored his warning. Walking straight up to the gate without a care she lifted her palm and pressed it against the makeshift log gate. Before even a moment could pass the gate began to tremble before splintering apart. Crimson colored energy flowed within the cracks of the wood continuing to slowly eat away at the wood even well after the gate had fallen.

"WHA-" The guard situated atop the ramparts began but was cut off when the wooden platform beneath him suddenly crumbled away! Looking over he found that anything made of wood around the gate had begun to decay at a visible pace. Fear and panic overwhelmed his senses as he hurried to push himself up from the pile of splinters and sawdust that now covered the snowy floor.

"Such a simple thing and hes already wetting himself while running? Have humans become this pathetic during my time away? Theia asked to no one in particular but surprisingly still received an answer.

"No.. I don't think so... maybe these ones are just more spineless than you thought? After all they don't look like experienced adventures or soldiers...Maybe mercenaries?" Asked Adelia in a curious manner as she watched the watchmen run deeper into the camp without sparing them a glance.

"All I did however was implant a bit of my energy into the wood no? I i still think it shouldn't bring about this kind of reaction right? I mean who comes into the realm of demons and expects not to see something like this?" It was needless to say that Theia was completely confused. Before she was sealed in that tomb any human she met would either curse her or at least make an attempt on her life.. this was unexpected!

"Well whatever, we will slaughter them like before but this time pick out two females and two males corpses who look decent enough." Adelia nodded and obeyed without question. It wasn't long before the entire camp was filled of the screams belonging to soldier and slave alike, pillars of clear, sparkling crystal numbering in the tens glistened under the soft moonlight as they skewered countless bodies.

"Mistress I have four humans who might suit your taste" As obedient as ever Adelia led Theia over to a small tent that was spared from the carnage presumably to hold the prisoners she was told to take.

Upon entering the tent a foul smell assaulted both of there noises causing one to frown and the other to shiver from the freezing aura the other emitted.

"What is it with these apes soiling themselves when frightened?! Disgusting!" Theia Immediately complained as her gaze drifted over towards the source of the smell. To her disgust, and surprise, she found two men tied up in a rather... suggestive manner. Their legs were splayed apart with the shin tied to the thigh while their arms were fixed behind there back. In there mouth substituting for a gag was a fist size ball made of crystal. What made the scene disgusting however was the fact they were both covered in blackened bruises and cuts while underneath them was a questionable amount of 'filth' they were stuck wallowing in.

"Well... I think I've found a rather fun talent of yours. Would you care to explain however?" Theia asked with a raise of he brow.

"Well that's where the two females come into play... While searching for survivors to take prisoner i found these two.... um...pressing themselves... onto a group of women and children inside of the main building. They had fled to an underground panic room of sort and took as many 'playthings' as possible.... Of course i mercy killed as many as possible but i still had to carry out your orders so I spared a pair of twins."

Theia frowned as she heard about such a disgusting act but in the end she just sighed and turned away from the two men.

"I suppose these will have to do then... However i don't plan to make things painless for them. go find a dagger and dull it against a rock or something similar then we can began."
