7 Chapter 07: Sect Points & Spirit Stones

As the magnificent expanse of the Profound Sword Palace came into view, a sense of awe swept through the ark's passengers. Slowly, the vessel began its descent, gracefully lowering its altitude until it reached the designated port. With a gentle hiss, the vessel's doors opened, revealing a world of anticipation.

Elder Yu Hui's voice resonated with authority, guiding the eager disciples. "Step forth from the ark, and there you shall find deacons and esteemed seniors who will acquaint you with the mysteries of the profound sword palace." With his words, Elder Yu Hui and the other elders vanished from sight, followed by the accompanying deacons.

Amidst this transition, the diligent servant disciples offered assistance, ensuring the seamless disembarkation of the new disciples onto the solid ground of the Profound Sword Palace.

And so, as the last of the disciples set foot on this sacred land, a sight awaited them—a line of individuals standing before the ark, their presence commanding respect and curiosity.

"Greetings to all my fellow junior apprentice brothers and sisters," the foremost figure addressed them with an air of welcoming authority. His voice carried a warmth that resonated, bridging the gap between unfamiliar faces. "This marks our first encounter, and I am honored to introduce myself as Xiao Shirong, an Outer court deacon of the Profound Sword Palace."

Xiao Shirong, a figure of middle-aged countenance, stood with an aura of quiet power. His eyes, a deep well of experience, held a glint that hinted at strength earned through trials. His attire bore the mark of his station, draped in robes adorned with symbols of rank that denoted his status within the outer court.

As he spoke, his voice carried the cadence of someone well-versed in both the ways of the world and the intricacies of cultivation. While he did not overtly reveal his level of cultivation, there was a subtle undercurrent to his words that hinted at a power beyond the ordinary.

"Greetings to senior Xiao!!!"

"Greetings to senior Xiao!!!"

All the new disciples gathered joined their hands and greeted the deacon Xiao Shirong, it was basic knowledge that when you see someone with a higher cultivation you must greet them properly, some senior expert might not take it lightly if you don't greet them with politeness.

Xiao Shirong nodded as an acknowledgement of their greetings and continued "well then, behind me are other deacons of outer court and esteemed inner court deacons."

He introduced every important figure one by one while every new disciple listened with attention, yes everyone except for Luo Tian as he had his attention captured by something else.

'Beautiful!!!' that was the only word that came into his mind when he glanced at some of the women introduced by Xiao Shirong.

The deacons of the inner court all emitted a palpable pressure that made it hard for anyone passing to not feel a sense of danger. But beneath the threat, one could also feel their majesty and grandeur. Among these deacons were several women, each wearing different colored robes and having a unique temperament. Anything they had in common though was their beauty. if any of them were placed in his previous world they could easily inspire strong men to fight amongst themselves like mad dogs just to catch a glimpse of them.

Given the chance, Luo Tian would have no doubt ensnared these women to be his own - though he knew enough to avoid them due to their power over him. He may have tried to do so through charm or force if he had been ignorant of how easily they could end his life with a single snap.

The sunlight cascaded over the horizon, casting a warm, golden hue upon the awe-inspiring peaks of Profound Sword Palace. Towering above the clouds, each peak seemed to hold its own secrets, shrouded in an air of ancient wisdom and mystery.

Luo Tian couldn't help but be captivated by the sight before him, his eyes drawn particularly to a mountain that stood apart from the rest. Its ethereal beauty was the subject of hushed whispers among the many servant disciples on the ark; it was the enigmatic women-only peak mountain, a place that inspired equal parts curiosity and reverence.

"Amazing, isn't it?" Xie Fang murmured, standing beside Luo Tian.

"Indeed," Luo Tian replied, unable to tear his gaze away from the mesmerizing scene. He knew his journey had just begun, and he couldn't help but wonder what secrets lay hidden within the depths of these ancient mountains.

As they stood there, lost in their thoughts and the breathtaking landscape, a sudden gust of wind swept through the air, heralding the arrival of a figure that exuded an aura of authority and power. inner court deacon from the gracefully from the skies, her long, silken hair billowing around her like a cloud. Her enchanting presence drew the attention of every disciple present, and Luo Tian found himself entranced by her enigmatic charm.

"Disciples of Profound Sword Palace, I am inner court deacon Liyana Stormrider, i hail from the Empyrean Tranquility Peak. One of the fifteen mountain peaks of the Profound Sword Palace" she began, her voice resonating with an inexplicable allure, "welcome to your new home. Each of you has been chosen for your potential, but only through perseverance and dedication will you reach the heights of cultivation."

As she spoke, Luo Tian felt a stirring within him, a sense of determination rising like a tidal wave. He knew that the trials ahead would be challenging, especially now that he had a mortal grade spiritual root. But he fully intended to seize every opportunity and make his mark within the sect, he also had a reliance to rely upon.

"Each peak holds their own inheritance and path waiting to be discovered, but not everyone of you is compatible with them. Only those destined will have them" she said, sweeping her gaze across the gathered disciples. "It is up to you to explore them and find your path."

"Find your path," Luo Tian repeated silently to himself, his resolve strengthening further.

As Luo Tian and the rest stood Infront of the inner court deacons, their hearts raced with anticipation. Luo Tian calculated confidence belied his true intentions: to amass an infinite harem in the cultivation world. He could already feel the power that coursed through the sect, and he was eager to become a powerful cultivator, he won't stop at anything to achieve his goals to amass a harem of fairy beauties and have boundless might.

"Welcome, new disciples," a melodic voice called out, drawing Luo Tian's attention to the inner court deacons standing before the group. Luo Tian's breath hitched as he admired their alluring forms. Each of them were like celestial beings descended from the heavens, and even he, well-versed with beautiful women, found himself momentarily lost in their enchanting presence.

As Luo Tian's gaze swept across the inner court deacons with their ethereal beauty, he tried hard to keep his expression neutral, all the while acutely aware of the power dynamics at play. He might have been confident in his abilities, but he knew better than to challenge the proverbial lions in their den.

"Today marks the beginning of your journey within Profound Sword Palace," said one of the beautiful deacons, her eyes sparkling with wisdom and power. "This ancient sect has stood for millennia, and each peak you see around you holds unique characteristics and secrets."

"Indeed," chimed in another deacon, her voice as smooth as silk. "Some peaks are dedicated to specific martial arts or cultivation techniques, while others serve as homes to powerful elders and other higher authorities of the Profound Sword Palace. You must find your own path among these towering peaks, embracing both the challenges and the rewards that come with it."

"Remember," warned a third deacon, his gaze was stern. His eyes, a piercing shade of azure. His frame Tall and imposing, reflect both wisdom and the weight of experiences. Jet-black hair, streaked with strands of silver, is pulled back into a meticulously braided ponytail that cascades down his back. He carries himself with a dignified air, every movement deliberate and precise. "Your progress will be monitored by the Profound Sword palace. Should you fail to meet our expectations, you may face expulsion. Conversely, demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication, and you may find yourself ascending the hierarchy."

"Understood," the new disciples murmured in unison, a mix of excitement and trepidation coloring their voices.

"Good," said the third deacon with a nod.

"Listen up!" another inner court deacon called out, capturing everyone's attention. "We will now escort the chosen inner court disciples to their new quarters. The rest of you, prepare to receive further guidance from outer court deacon Xiao Shirong."

Luo Tian caught glimpses of several new inner court disciples standing just off to the side, their disdainful expressions betraying their true feelings towards the new arrivals. Among them was Xiao Honghui, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto Luo Tian.

The tension in the air was almost palpable as Luo Tian locked eyes with Xiao Honghui. He could feel the animosity radiating from the person, thick and suffocating like a poisonous cloud. Despite his best efforts to remain unprovoked, Luo Tian couldn't help but sense the brewing storm that threatened to unleash itself at any moment.

Luo Tian maintained his composure, suppressing the unease that gnawed at the edges of his mind. He knew he had to be careful, that he couldn't afford to let his guard down, even for a second. It was clear that the animosity between him and Xiao Honghui would not dissipate easily, and the threat of conflict loomed heavy over their heads.

Now that they were in the Profound Sword Palace Xiao Honghui had a huge advantage over him as an inner court disciple.

"Good" With a wave of her hand, the deacon led Zhang Ying, Xiao Honghui, and the other newly selected inner court disciples away, their figures lifting into the air as they flew effortlessly towards their destination.

Other disciples who were only chosen as outer disciples were looking at them with jealousy, there was a massive rift between the status of an outer court disciple and an inner court disciple, the allocation of their resources would also be decided by this status.

As they soared away, Luo Tian couldn't help but notice the lingering gaze of Xiao Honghui, still fixed on him with a mixture of hatred and challenge. It was a look that promised deeper, potentially explosive confrontations to come.

"Stay focused, Luo Tian," he thought to himself, his jaw tightening in determination. "There will be plenty of time for you to deal with him later."

If it was before Luo Tian would be thinking of ways to avoid Xiao Honghui in early phases because of the latter status and talent, but now he didn't believe he needs to avoid Xiao Honghui.

For now, Luo Tian had more pressing matters to attend to. He needed to strengthen his foundations, to gain knowledge and power within the sect before he could confront the likes of Xiao Honghui or any other potential adversaries. But as he watched the inner court disciples disappear into the distance, a small, sinister smile crept across his face.

"Be careful what you wish for, Xiao Honghui," he mused inwardly, his eyes glinting with a hint of malice. "The day will come when I'll make you regret ever crossing paths with me."

"Disciples," Xiao Shirong began, his voice resonating through the area, "once again, welcome to Profound Sword Palace. As outer court disciples, you will soon learn the workings of our sect. However, today, I shall illuminate the structure, decisions, and significance of currency known as sect points that you must understand to survive and thrive here."

As Luo Tian followed behind chief deacon Xiao Shirong, his mind raced with thoughts of the many secrets hidden within the sect. He knew that to achieve his goals, he would have to tread carefully and strategically navigate the complex web of relationships and power dynamics at play. But one thing was certain: he was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead, and nothing would deter him from his pursuit of an infinite harem in the cultivation world.

"Within our Profound Sword palace," deacon Xiao Shirong continued, "sect points serve as a measure of your worth and accomplishments, they are the currency of the Profound Sword Palace, in the Profound Sword Palace you will find that the mortal gold and silver are worthless, only the sect points can be used for any kind of transaction. These points can be earned through various means, such as completing missions, participating in sect events, or simply going to mine the spirit stones in the spirit stone mines."

As Elder Xiao Shirong delved deeper into the concept of sect points, he also introduced the importance of spirit stones in cultivation. "On that note spirit stones are essential in our world—not only as currency outside of the profound sword palace, but also as a crucial resource for cultivators. They contain concentrated spiritual energy which can accelerate your cultivation progress."

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal glow on the towering peaks of Profound Sword Palace as they loomed over the gathered outer court disciples. deacon Xiao Shirong stepped forward, his silken robes catching the fading light.

"Very well," said deacon Xiao Shirong, apparently satisfied with their contrition. "Let us move on to the next location."

As the group followed the deacon, Luo Tian steeled himself for the trials that lay ahead. For now, he would bide his time, patiently waiting for the right moment to strike and claim his place in this new and powerful environment. And when that day came, nothing would stand between him and his ultimate goal.

The place where deacon Xiao Shirong had brought them to was Sect Administration Pavilion

Sect Administration Pavilion was a magnificent structure adorned with intricate carvings.

"Here," Deacon Xiao Shirong announced, "you will receive your outer court robes, identity tokens, and handbooks. These items represent your official initiation into Profound Sword Palace." deacon Xiao Shirong and the others stepped into the Sect Administration Pavilion, their footsteps echoing through the crisp air. Xiao Shirong raised his arm, and a few disciples clad in grey robes scurried forth, each of them tugging a sack behind them. These sacks held an assortment of things - outer court robes made from fine silk, delicate jade tokens that symbolized a disciple's identity in the Profound Sword Palace, and a thick manual. Everything was presented with care.

Deacon Xiao Shirong glanced around before speaking sternly, focusing on every disciple's eyes. "These are your outer court robes. Remember, the outer court disciples will be donned in green robes, inner sect disciples would be donned in blue robes and core disciples would be donned in yellow robes. There is also another grey robe, only servant disciples are donned in grey robes. Another thing you must keep in mind is that you must always wear your disciple robes in the profound sword palace. This is one of the rules."

The young disciples exchanged glances between them, feeling nervousness and excitement in equal measure.

One by one they stepped forward and took their robes, jade tokens, and handbook.

Luo Tian stepped forward as a servant disciple handed him his new robes, identity token, and handbook.

"Disciples," deacon Xiao Shirong announced, holding aloft a small pouch filled with glittering stones, "these are low-grade spirit stones. Each of you will receive ten as your initial supply. Use them wisely, for they are vital to your cultivation. You as an outer court disciple will receive 10 low grade spirit stones every year."

The disciples took the spirit stones, it felt warm to touch, some of them couldn't help but exclaim, just holding the spirit stone they felt a clam and serene feeling.

Luo Tian's eyes widened at the sight of the stones. He reached out, his fingers brushing against the warm surface of the spirit stones as they were placed in his palm. The energy emanating from the stones pulsed through him, sending warm currents down his spine, making him feel calmer.

"Furthermore, each of your identity token contains thirty sect points, you will get them as soon as you make the token recognize you by dripping a drop of your blood, remember this well the sect points are only given to you because you are newly arrived disciples, after these thirty sect points are used up you will have to earn them yourself" Xiao Shirong continued. "Sect points can be exchanged for various resources within Profound Sword Palace. Be mindful of how you spend them, for they may very well determine your future."
