6 Chapter 6

Audrey and Elvis decide to meet up the next day at school, at lunchtime. Audrey hasn't seen Elvis for a whole day and a half now and that's the longest she hasn't seen him since they started dating. She misses him so much, which is why she can't wait to see him at lunchtime.

She impatiently watches the hand of the clock slowly ticking its way up to twelve. Just as it reaches twelve, she hears the school bell ring, as a sign for her to run into Elvis' open arms. She runs out to the parking lot to meet him, fortunately seeing only him today and not her mother.

Audrey runs to where Elvis is, while he has his arms open for her to come in. As she reaches him, he picks her up and kisses her all over, Audrey turning into a giggling mess.

"I missed you so much," Elvis whispers, burying his head into her neck.

Feeling sorry for him and herself, she says, "I missed you too."

About a minute of comfortable silence later, they break apart and get into his car. Elvis starts a car and drives out of the school's parking lot.

"Where are we going?" Audrey asks, 5 minutes of driving later,

"We're almost there. It's a surprise,"

Audrey smiles, "Fine."

As Elvis said, 2 minutes later, they arrive at their destination.

Confused Audrey asks, "Where are we? Too many trees,"

"Just follow me," Elvis chuckles,

"Alright. Lead the way."

Elvis and Audrey climb the mountain for minutes, Audrey panting like she had just run 100 miles.

"Are you kidnapping me? What's up with this place? It's too abandoned," Audrey playfully jokes,

"Just a few more steps and we'll be there."

They reach the end of the trees and Elvis asks Audrey to stop walking. He goes behind her and covers her eyes with his hands.

"What are you doing?" She asks,

"Just trust me," Elvis laughs.

Elvis pushes the tree branches away and leads her further into the place behind the trees. He finally stops walking and drops his hand from her eyes.

Audrey's mouth drops like she's just seen a ghost.

"How- how did you find this place?"

"I was bored and walking around one day," laughs Elvis,

"It's so beautiful. This is a cliff. Oh my god, I'm actually on a cliff. I've never been on one. Wow, the sun looks so beautiful, and the ocean. Everything, oh my god," Audrey gushes as Elvis watches her, laughing in amusement.

They carefully sit on the cliff, enjoying the beautiful view in silence for a few minutes before Elvis speaks up, "We need to discuss our plan. We haven't got a lot of time,"

"Yeah. Do you have a plan? You always do,"

"Yup! The day we're getting out of here has to be when your parents both have night shifts. When's your mother's next night shift?"

Audrey thinks for a moment before replying, "I'm pretty sure it's this Saturday,"

"Perfect," Elvis murmurs, "Okay. We're leaving on Saturday, but you've got to pack before that. Start packing today. Little by little so your mom wouldn't notice. Just bring things you really need. Don't bring lots of stuff. I've already packed last night because I couldn't sleep. I'm not bringing much just a couple of things,"

Audrey listens carefully as he describes his plan. Nodding every few seconds to show her comprehension.

"Got it?" Elvis asks when he finished,

"Yes. I trust you on this, Elv. This is a really big deal. You understand, don't you?"

"I understand, love. I promise you a life you won't regret."

Audrey smiles at his sweet response and turns to the magnificent view waiting yet to be seen.
