1 Chapter 1: The strongest there is.

On the tallest floor of the Burj-Khalifa stood the strongest beast among humanity, stomping the decapitated head of the demon king.

Years ago, in 2025, an event known as the "convergence" occurred on Earth; multiple portals opened throughout the planet, pouring countless hordes of demons and beasts.

Some cities experience abrupt changes in their topology, mountains erecting on plane land, and seas flooding mountain ranges.

From this tragedy also came the opportunity to fight back. Due to food scarcity, humans began eating the corpses of the weaker demons that could still be killed with standard weapons.

Once ingested, the humans who survived the changes would develop the ability to use the abilities of those who came from the portals.

Humanity first tapped into the energy called "Mana," from there, the remaining nations slowly fought back the hordes of demons and creatures.

All except one. His name was erased alongside all the technology and archives from the planet. He was a NEET who, by all means, shouldn't have survived the first hordes.

He named himself after one of the great conquerors of history… and his favorite video game villain from the saga Pocket Beasts: Cyrus, the great conqueror of all four corners of the world.

Cyrus now grabbed the decapitated head of the demon king Astarte. The demon king had a massive army and four royal generals around the world, and a seal prevented anyone from entering the demon king's castle.

After a journey through the world, Cyrus beats all the generals, who, for some reason, are female and have strangely sexy bodies…

Back to Cyrus, he walked through the hall and reached the rest of the demon king's body; the reason?

Cyrus penetrated the headless body and, with his raw hand, snatched the heart of the demon king from its body.

Cyrus didn't eat demon meat; not even a little bit of blood had managed to find its way into his body for the sole purpose of eating the demon king as his first meal.

Staring at the hearth, Cyrus squeezed the hearth slowly, reactivating it. The hearth began pumping, and some blood flowed out of it. Smiling, Cyrus bit into the hearth as if it were an apple and closed his eyes.

He felt as if the incommensurable amount of Mana flowed into his body, his muscles strengthening and his mind going into overdrive; it was the first time a mortal had tapped into this level of strength!

But from one moment to another, Cyrus felt as if the world was floating away. Instantly getting into a fighting stance, Cyrus opened his eyes to see nothing but an infinite darkness had surrounded him.

Analyzing the situation, Cyrus used one of his techniques, [Wonder room], to examine his surroundings; a net of Mana formed throughout his body and launched into the air, getting bigger and bigger as it flew away from his body.

"Well, well, to think a human would learn a technique like that," a mechanical voice said as the nets finally reached the end of the darkness, Allowing Cyrus to see how vast this dark space was.

A tall humanoid figure clad in a grey robe appeared before Cyrus from the darkness. The creature had pure white eyes without iris, and the rest of his skin was so dark Cyrus wondered if he even had a face.

Cyrus didn't feel a threatening aura from this entity, and [Wonder room] told him the space was a low-class dimension; just channeling his aura could break him out of there.

"Who…What are you?" Cyrus asked as he used Mana to create a wooden chair to sit down on.

"Allow me to introduce thyself, I am $#" #" the god of Normality, Balance, and Everything else. The reason you are here is that this needs your help," the entity explained,

"Pff. I could break free any moment now. What kind of god is weaker than a demon…."

Before Cyrus could finish, his technique gave him new information. The so-called low-quality pocket dimension was now a literal new dimension.

He felt as if the outer walls that held this tiny space together had detached from the original dimension.

"The reason I ask you for help is that the original god can't interfere in terrestrial matters; for that reason, he sent many demon kings to dying universes, who were doomed to annihilation from all the worlds. You are the first one to defeat the demon king; be proud, as you are the strongest there is."

Cyrus didn't allow the flattery to get into his mind. Instead, he was trying to analyze the creature in front of him.

It didn't have a mana signature, meaning his Mana was totally under control, an inhuman feat not even he could achieve with external help.

"Stop analyzing me. You flatter this, but I don't have any ill intention towards you," the entity said, waving his hand. A dark wood table appeared in front of both of them, with a crystal ball in the middle.

"What I offer you is the chance to live again, in a world where immortality is possible, in exchange for something…"

"I want you to kill the new gods."
