26 Chapter 26 (ARC 1)

The next two weeks were a bit abnormal for Wade in the Titan Tower. Just settling in in a new place, after moving from an old apartment, was quite uneasy for Wade.

He woke up above the new ceiling and had to memorize the floor plan for each floor of the Tower he was using. His room itself was on the front of the top floor, and at night, not every night, Wade heard demonic panic screams, and it looked like this.

(???)-Grawdemonicgraraaarrrr....

Wade's eyes widened as the sound reached his ears. He made a cold shiver run over his whole body. And his whole body was faced with a surge of uninhibited fear, and he had to increase the flow of pure mana from his brain to the rest of his body to calm himself down. Wade had the idea a few weeks ago, when their favorite bar was Saturday Night of the Horors, and he wanted to pretend to be a tough guy and laugh at Grayson.

And after a few seconds he regained his composure and put on his T-shirt, because he was wearing only boxer shorts before. And he was calm now, he left his room and went to the corridor to go towards the source of the sound.

And as you might guess, this was Raven's room. Where from under the door he saw a mixture of red and purple light. Before he knocked.

Knock...Knock....

As soon as he knocked, the noise subsided, and Wade heard the rustling of sheets, an aggressive sigh, and heavy footsteps and a breathing technique to calm him down. As the door swung open quite abruptly, Wade stepped back a step.

Raven was standing in the doorway now, slightly nervous, she was wearing her coat, which covered her entire body at this point. Though her hood was off, Wade was able to see her face closely for the first time. But he stopped himself and looked into her eyes.

(Raven)-Yes?

She spoke in a rather neutral voice that left Wade slightly speechless. Before he took a breath and scratched the back of his head, he said.

(Wade)-I heard noises and if you want I Can I help you?

(Raven)-I do not need help.

She said in a neutral voice, but Wade picked up a bit of anger, but not directed towards him. However, she closed the door so he went back to his room.

The next day, Wade asked Grayson about it. And he said a year ago, Beastboy tried something similar. However, she agreed. And as it turned out, Beasboy tried to be aggressive instead of helping her. Dick said nothing more, but added that it ended up throwing BB out of the window. So Wade, understanding this, decided not to ask further. Although his aversion to BeasBitch increased involuntarily.

The situation happened several times a week, so Wade figured out why this room was vacant. However, despite Dick's offer to change the room, Wade disagreed.

Wade spent 9 nights or a week and a half trying to talk to Raven and help her. However, each time she descended on him, and the last time at the end of the second week from the first night in a new room. Wade tried a new way.

From the fact that Wade and Raven's room is separated only by a wall. Wade, hearing Raven's noises the next night, sat up against the wall. And, concentrating on the mana, he tried to send her to Raven. It was more or less as if a pure white mist, in an immaterial form like energy, had passed through the wall. She flew towards Raven, who was screaming levitating above her bed, and extra pairs of eyes appeared on her face, and her hair for a moment changed color from purple to white. And the skin turned slightly red. However, when the smoke touched her foot, Raven returned to normal. And surprised, she opened her eyes.

The mana link was broken less than a second after touching Raven. Meanwhile, in Wade's room.

In Wade's room you can see an unusual sight, Wade is literally stuck to the wall and not because of his skill. And his eyes glow red, and neither his pupils nor the whites are visible.

Moments later, Raven bursts into the room, sensing Demonic energy and a familiar one. She literally smashed the door open with a spell and saw a terrifying sight, Wade against the wall. She quickly summoned the remaining Titans, and she herself cast spells to counteract the phenomenon.

However, meanwhile, in the landscape of Wade's mind that looked like a huge city. However, the streets are covered with fog and on the roofs of some, most of the buildings there are Olympic candles with huge black flames.

The sky is black and starless, yet everything is clearly visible.

On the roof of the tallest building, resembling the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, but much larger. near its top, on one of the rooftops is Wade. Dressed in his Smoke armor with his two Scythes in his hands.

Opposite Wade, currently staring at Wade. More than 15 meters tall Titan, red skinned, long white hair, three pairs of yellow eyes. With a big sword on the back and a metal lower part of the armor in the Viking style, but with an overwhelming number of metal reinforcements.

Little black horns grew from his arm, and he had black stripes on his chest and arms, which were visible due to the lack of the upper armor. And black shoulder straps made of steel black stripes.

Before Wade stands a manifestation of the interdimensional Demon Trigon, who has visited the mind of the mortal as a guest and has disrupted his "educational" work.

Wade was tense, and he had to fight the overwhelming strength of the Demon, though it was only a manifestation in his mind and with minimal force. By connecting via Raven, however, and that was enough for Wade to be forced to maximize his pure mana flow through his mind, where they are both now.

Suddenly, the trigon bent, causing a strong gust of wind of unknown origin. And heavy voices, still looking into Wade's eyes, he said.

(Trigon)-You can become a problem for my plan.

The voice alone brought fear to Wade's mind. However, it was the sword that Trigon had on his back moments earlier that caused more fear. Especially when trigon swung him right at Wade.

Wade, almost subconsciously, not knowing what they were doing, and as if his mind and himself began to defend themselves. Wade, making a slight pirouette towards the incoming cut of the sword, fired one Kose at the sword and the other at the crystal on Trigon's forehead.

Trigon did not alter attack or trajectory, apparently not taking the mortal's attack serious.

However, to Trigon's surprise, the first scythe cut through his great sword, which took the lives of a quadrillion lives, causing a third of the sword, the one with its tip, to be torn off. And since the sword was cut first, Trigon moved slightly to the side, and one of his right eyes was cut at the top.

Then Wade, without controlling it, seizing the moment of wobbling manifesting a fraction of the Trigon figure in his mind. His long-forgotten skill from the "Mind" category was activated.

[Demons Eye]

It is a skill that allows, on the present first level, only to see the last gravest sin perpetrated by the victim of a psychic attack.

Once the skill has been activated, and in fact and in Wade's mind. His eyes turned golden as a full moon. And Trigon vanished from his mind due to a disturbed mental connection. Leaving a large chunk of metal which disappeared in the black smoke and appeared in Wade's inventory.

And even though Trigon's presence was gone from his mind. Trigon left a lot in it, which was recorded by the System. But now Wade sees something that has damaged his mind "for the first time."

Wade now knows a pretty beautiful futuristic world. Huge metropolises with buildings that outshine all terrestrial height. Flying cars and lots of vegetation. The inhabitants of this world are blue-skinned humanoids, very much like humans, but instead of hair they have strange structures imitating tongue. They are short and either resemble a series of stiff fins extending from the head, or spines in the case of males of this species. The Wade resembled the Asaria of Mass Efect, however, this race has both sexes. Everyone is dressed quite alike, and the world seems quite peaceful and happy. Wade broke the happiness of these creatures, despite the hardships thanks to technological progress, there was no hunger and wars.

This world was ruled by one nation and technological progress has provided this world with a stable lifestyle, leaving nothing to argue about the peace in the world. Until the red and yellow portals opened in the sky and Trigon emerged from the largest of them.

And then the beauty began, Wade saw the courtyards being torn apart in front of his parents. Lots of macabre scenes that were theoretically less than secular lasted forever for Wade. The tremors of skill Wade saw every element of Trigon's last greatest sin, the destruction of the entire planet. And a picture of destruction, slaughter and true beauty on earth. It burned out in his mind. And only when he brushed warm hands on his cheeks, and the almost transparent image of Raven. Wade woke up from his trance.

Wade, barely conscious, woke up on the operating table in the medical center on one of Cyborg's lower floors.

Wade saw for a few seconds that the Titans were surrounding him, and Raven was still clutching his face as she stood over him. And he recites the same spell over and over again. And before Wade passed out, he said.

(Wade)-I have to be stronger .... ,, To kill this monster."- Wade said the last part in his mind as he passed out.
