I woke up to see an empty apartment yet again. This time though, there was no note waiting for me.

He probably went to school.

Wait- if he was the first one to wake up, he saw how we ended up sleeping during the movie right?

Wow, wonder how he reacted to that.

I looked at the time, almost 12.

Maybe I'll go out for a bit? Oh wait I forgot about breakfast. I'll go out and get breakfast, yeah that sounds good.

I quickly got my wallet, fixed my hair best I could in 2 minutes and walked out.

Plugging in my head phones, I quickly made a playlist because I wasn't satisfied with any of my existing ones.

I couldn't find anything I really wanted to eat so I ended up getting ice cream. What? I like ice cream.

Sitting down in a park, I ate in peace when I heard a familiar voice.

"Liam!" I looked to the place I heard my name getting called.

"John? Why are you here?"

"Dad was being annoying so I decided to come here for a bit."

"You're not living with me."

"Oh don't worry, I'll come live with you when I get tired of living alone. "

"Don't even think about it." I chuckled, not really meaning it.

He couldn't stay with me for a month, but a week is alright with me.

"Ice cream for breakfast?"

"Don't even try to say anything, it tastes good so I don't care. "

"Alright alright. " He grinned sitting down beside me. Even though I don't get along with dad, I've been with John since I was 12 so we don't have a hard time understanding each other.

"Nate cheated on me. "

"Nate?"

"My boyfrie- or well ex-boyfriend. He said that he was just confused, and was straight. " Shocked at the sudden heavy topic from John I didn't know how to respond.

"I kinda liked him a lot y'know." He looked at me with teary eyes.

Instead of saying anything, I decided to hug him instead. The real reason he decided to come here isn't it?

He pulled away after a while, hiding his face from me.

"How pathetic. The older sibling seeking comfort from the younger one. "

"Shut up. I'm more mature anyway." I pushed his hands away, using the longer end of my sleeves to wipe his wet cheeks.

"Want me to get you ice cream?"

He chuckled.

"It's fine small bro. Thanks. I can't really tell this to anyone else, so I really appreciate it Liam. I'm glad we're on good terms."

"You were there for me when dad made me move out alone. I probably wouldn't have survived the first few weeks without you. So I'm glad too. "

He smiled at me, gently ruffled my hair and turned around waving.

"See you in a week, text me your address!" He said giving me the same old John smile.

I swear, the guy who cheated on him is such an idiot.

Seeing him cry can make anyone cry, because he's the most cheerful one all the time. That's just the guy he is.

I finished my ice cream, discarded the cup, walking home.

I got a text from Zach.

Z: hihi, I wanted to tell you I can't come today. I'll send your notes with Matthew.

L: why not Perry?

Z: um I'm going with him for a movie after their game.

L: ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

Z: quit it!

L: do you like him?

Z: I don't.

L: you so do

Z: do not! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ

L: okay okay sorry. Have fun on your date ;)

When I reached home, it was 1 pm. I went to watch a few videos on YouTube about ants. When I stopped it was 5 pm somehow.

How does that even happen?

Crap, work!

I jumped out of bed, go dressed and rushed to work.

I peeked in, only to see an extremely busy coffee shop. Today is sure gonna be fun.

I walked in, noticing Tanya coming in right after me.

We got to work, me taking over the counter and her preparing the orders.

After an hour of work, we finally got to relax for a bit. I sighed exhausted, pulling out my phone.

I noticed a text from an unknown number.

Finally, I'm almost there. You've been waiting for me right? :)

Coming to work? How did they know- 

From the corner of my eyes, I noticed someone walk in. A phone in their hand. 

Jeremy.

Damn it, I'd completly forgotten about him.

My eyes widened, as he walked over to the counter.

"One black coffee."

I nodded not even bothering to collect the money. Tanya was on break so I didn't want to disturb her.

I put the coffee on the counter, looking down. I slowly pushed it to him, withdrawing my hand immediately.

"Thought you said you weren't scared?"

He looked at me with a stupid smile.

"It's Friday so your shift ends in a hour right? See you after work. " He smirked and sat on the same table as the other day.

Wait Matthew is coming over right? It should be fine. Calm down Liam it's okay.

I felt my phone vibrate, another message?

M: we won so I'll be late. I'll come after the after-party okay?

Nothing is going well today. Fuck it, I'll get out of here from the back door before he notices.

10 minutes before work finished, I got out the back door almost sprinting home. I've been doing a lot of physical activity lately, maybe I should try for the volleyball team-

Now's not the time you idiot.

While leaving, I was in such a hurry I forgot to lock the door.

I burst in, immediately locking the door behind me. Panting I walked to the bathroom, splashing water over my face. Nvm I'm not cut out for the volleyball team. 

I froze when i heard the door bell. No way right?

I looked through the eyehole to see a girl that's wasn't Cindy. Huh?

I opened the door, to see a passed out Matthew being kept up by her hands.

"Liam right? Perry asked me to drop him off here. " She said, letting go of him.

I felt myself let out the breath id been holding since I saw him on her.

"Lia*hic*m? Here *hic* yo-ur *hic*notes..." He slurred handing my notes that were in great condition.

"Sorry he's had too much to drink."

She said waving and walking back to her car.

He stumbled over and steadied himself by leaning onto my shoulder.

"You're staying over?"

He looked at me, giving me a smile and then walking in and falling on the bed.

Why's he so cute? I chuckled.

Wait did I just-

I put a glass of water and aspirins on the table Beside him.

Debating whether or not I should touch his hair.

I can't help it. I reached over to his hair, pushing them away. Admiring his face, I sat down beside the bed. Creepy much?

I don't think anyone can deny how beautiful he is.

Satisfied, I got up and decided to sleep on the couch for today.

Wonder how Zach and Perry's date went.
