#Chapter5

Stupid

Adrian Nielsen

/"I'm not training with you./" I said as I got out of the boxing ring to avoid having a training session with Chance. He's a good boxer and I don't want to have bruises for a month.

/"Why not?/" Chance laughed as he put down his water and phone. He turned to our trainer, Jeff, and smirked.

/"I'm done for the day./"

/"One game, Nielsen. One game won't hurt./" Chance said and I took my water bottle from the ground shaking my head in the process.

/"You're such a loser./" He mocked.

/"I rather be a loser than going around in a wheelchair. Last time I had a match with you, I ended up with crutches you dickhead./" I hissed and Jeff laughed.

/"Why the hell are you doing in Paris? Aren't you supposed to be in Denmark?/" I turned my head to see Angelo walking in.

/"Why the hell are you in Paris? Aren't you supposed to be in Italy?/" I mocked him by imitating his voice. Chance laughed and Angelo glared at me.

/"I was going to Denmark but.. I changed my mind. I rather be here seeing you guys./" I said and Chance rolled his eyes at me. Angelo just walked past me. I bid my goodbyes to Jeff and walked out from the gym.

I took a shower and changed into my suit. I drove out from the headquarters to the airport. I'm going back to London and chill. I really need a rest because I'm really tired these days.

My phone rang from my pocket and it's none other than my lovely mother. I have to prepare my ear because she tends to raise her voice.

/"Adrian Lewis Nielsen!/" Oh my. How did my father cope up with this woman? She raises her voice a lot.

/"Yes mother?/" This is why I don't stay in Denmark, my parents love giving me long ass speeches.

/"Why aren't you in Copenhagen?!/"

/"I'm busy, mother./" I answered fatly.

/"You better get your ass here or I will go to London and drag it myself./" She's acting like her son is 12 years old. I'm 27 years old for god sakes.

/"Mother, I'll go there next week./"

/"But you said to your brother that you will come today./" She said in a sad tone.

/"I got work, I'll go home next week./"

/"You better be or I'll drag your ass here!/" She ended the call and I chuckled. When I arrived at the airport, I got out of my car and got into my private jet. I flew back to London and went straight to the headquarters.

I went up to my office and did some work before going to my lab. I wanted the new update with the tracking device and Leah's new idea. I want to know more. I went into my second lab and called Leah to come so she could presentation her idea.

/"Good afternoon, Mr. Nielsen./" I heard Leah coming into the lab while I'm checking my emails on my iPad. I looked up to her and she's smiling at me. I was taken back for a second with her smile.

/"Did you prepare it?/" I asked and she showed me her laptop.

/"Yes, I did./" She said and I put my iPad away. She put her laptop in front of me and opened it. She sat next to the laptop facing me and she raised her eyebrows.

/"May I start?/" She asked and I gestured to her to start. She started explaining her design first and then her idea for the programming. She's smart and I can tell that she will help me make a lot of things in the future.

I love smart women and I'm not the type of man who judges them by their looks. I can say looks are just a bonus. Woman like Leah is pretty rare, she got both. God must have His favorites.

After about 20 minutes explaining, she's done. She was waiting for my response and I kept looking at the design on her laptop.

/"It only lasts for a week huh?/" I asked.

/"Yes, Mr. Nielsen./"

/"I can say that your idea is really fresh but I think you should think about making the power more. Maybe a small solar power or maybe other things./" I said and she immediately took out her small note out of her pocket writing it down.

/"Very well, I'll do my research and get back to you./" She said and she closed her laptop.

/"Leah, I understand that.. you really want to work hard in this field and I can see the potential that you have but I suggest you to.. let it flow./" I said because after looking at presenting and writing her notes.. she seemed very hurried.

/"I.. I.. I was just.. a little nervous. I mean you're my role model and the person that I respect so much so.. being able to.. to.. to work here is just.. still unreal for me./" She said as she looked nervously to the ground. I chuckled and nodded.

/"I understand completely but stressing a lot in this job will lead you to nothing. Take it slow but constant, you'll get there./" I got up from my seat.

/"Yes, Mr. Nielsen./"

/"You can go back to work./" I said and she grabbed her laptop with her and walked out of the room. I walked towards my computer and started to work on a new software. My phone rang distracting me from my work.

/"Hello./" I answered without looking at the caller ID.

/"You got the invitation?/" Angelo asked.

/"Of what?/"

/"Phoenix's wedding./" That hit me again that Phoenix is no longer a part of us. Sometimes I forgot that he even left, it's still unreal.

/"I guess, I'll find out when I get back to my office./" I said and Angelo ended the call.

/"Stupid love. You are fucking stupid, Sterling. You're a fucking idiot./" I hissed.
