198 Chapter 182: Calm Before The Storm Part 2

After Akeno returned inside, Kel remained seated alone once more and let out an exasperated sigh.

He just stared off blankly into space but as he did saw a moth flew into his field of vision... rather slowly before coming to a complete halt there and then.

Before Kel could properly understand this a familiar voice resounded beside him. "Miss me?" A smiling was suddenly seated right next to him but he didn't seem particularly alarmed, only confused.

"You're the one visiting me. So what's the occasion?" Kel turned his gaze away from the moth and sat leaning back once again with his head slightly tilted upward.

"Oh nothing much, just wanted to personally thank you for the wonderful show I was given not too long ago. Heh." Lilith a sinister smirk as she recalled the events that Julius had to endure. Kel neither felt sorry nor happy about it in that moment, it's instances like this where he appreciated his altered moral compass.

No matter what a any normal person claimed there was bound to some sort of psychological reaction from them if they tortured and or killed someone.

Kel could clearly remember he was also among the people who'd get pissed off when a reincarnated Mc wanted a simple life without dragons, useless girls and killing. People in the comments would always go off on this "why not just kill, I would kill them hmph" meanwhile the guy weighs more than a used Toyota in real life and is about as crafty as a Asian prostitute.

"Glad you enjoyed it, do I get a raise for it?" Kel showed Lilith a smile but it didn't take a genius to know that Kel was rather detached of late, it was the entire purpose of her coming personally. "I was made to enjoy acts of violence of brutality, it's one of the ways in which I obtain additional power, said additional power is then used to grant your alterations and the chain continues."

"Then how does the creator receive additional power?" Kel furrowed his brows and asked curiously as this could be a weakness they could expose but sadly Lilith shrugged at this while shaking her head. "Same way he doesn't know mine, I do not his." She replied but it made Kel slightly more confused about something.

"Then why tell me? Isn't that risky?" No matter how he looked at it if that really were the case then telling him this wasn't exactly a smart choice considering the risks it came with. "I know you wouldn't give it away willingly and that's enough. You miss home don't you?" Lilith answered briefly before shifting topics to her reason for coming to see him.

"Not to sound ungrateful but I'm still finding my bearings. I'm more or less mastering the art of purging but in between when I'm alone I can't help but reminisce about my days back home and question all this you know? I think I just need to keep my busy and active." Kel explained and Lilith nodded in understanding.

"It's normal, you'd be surprised how many reincarnators just chose to begin gun-ho and ended up suffering immensely in their world. Depression, insanity, suicide... if it weren't for some of the world laws basically making the world's suitable to most of these people then more than half would have been suffering even if they had a head start..." Lilith began to share some of the unique twisted cases of reincarnators getting more Han what they bargained for.

Some would chose to reincarnate with a popular and rare ability for that world but still fail miserably. The examples she gave were ones involving naruto, mha, dbz, aot, and many more.

If one only focused on how they would look cool and secure all the women in these worlds when making the choice then they were doomed to fail if the world laws made them realistic.

The one thing each world had in common was the necessity for hard work, something a person who was originally an introverted otaku would find hard to just do out of nowhere.

Once this realization hit them they began to realize their mistakes and were forced to accept they would never see their dreams come true in said world. Rather they were forced to live simple sometimes hard lives in a world they thought was amazing and magical.

"Sounds rough, I doubt I'd be motivated enough to work that hard honestly. Respect to those who actually succeeded without cheats, calling it hard work when you hard a system or infinite something from the get go is just plain idiotic. I mean look at me, I'm like a game moderator with all permissions going around purging the abusive cheaters." Lilith agreed with his example although it wasn't that simple to begin with.

"Regardless, What I'm trying to say is don't overthink things. Sometimes the best decisions are done spontaneously, you don't need to apply your world logic here because the people are different. Just try to genuinely enjoy your time in each world, all work and no play makes Kel a very depressed boy. Think about it okay? Ciao."

Before Kel could respond he found Lilith was gone immediately after he blinked. "Just enjoy myself...."
