Sergio Mendes Is The Boss

JR didn't like the place he found himself. Firstly, the area was a smelly one and the it was a tight area. Everyone kept glaring at each other with their eyes full of hate. The place was so crowded and bad. Ara had to hold JR's hand while, leading him to their home. What's worse? Their so called home was so small. He could barely fit in his so called room.

"Baby JR, how did it happen?" Ara asked, drawing JR out of his thoughts.

"What?"

"I said, how did…" She was about finishing her statement when someone barged into JR's room. It was Mae, JR's other sister.

"Are they both twins?" JR asked himself. Though, Ara heard him and smiled at his question.

"We are." Turning to Mae, the red haired little girl, Ara asked. "What brings you here Mae?" Ara asked nicely. Well, she was always so nice.

"Can't I come in here too?" Mae asked with a frown. "Mother told me big baby had an accident and so, I'm here." Mae said, avoiding JR's funny gaze.

"Oh wow! She hot red haired girl cares?" JR snorted.

"I…"

"Come on, Baby JR, she's our sister and besides you're harsh to her." Ara said hurtfully, obstructing Mae from answering JR. It'll only lead to a war.

"Fine." JR said folding his arms. "So, this is my room right?" JR asked, looking around.

"Yes and…"

Ara was suddenly stopped by Mae's cold tap.

"Mother said you should prepare dinner for big baby while I watch him. She went to the church to get the priest." Mae said, almost whispering. She didn't want JR to hear her but, who was she kidding? He heard it all.

"Oh, okay then. I'll be back soon with food." Ara said, suspecting nothing and left for the kitchen.

JR was left alone with Mae who folded her arms too while standing. JR rolled his eyes and turned to his table. He saw pictures of Kpop stars, himself and various pictures of one girl. 'on the table? Nasty!' He rolled his eyes again.

"Why are you rolling your eyes? Isn't it your stupid crush Clarissa? Who doesn't even like you." Mae mocked, scoffing afterwards.

JR looked at her and pondered on what she said for a while. Eureka! Clarissa is the name of his crush and also the password to his phone. JR smiled widely and that smile managed to irritate Mae.

"Stop smiling like that, it makes me miss you!" Mae yelled, bursting in tears.

JR was shocked. Why was the almighty Mae crying all of a sudden? 'because I smiled?' JR thought, panicking.

"Miss me?" JR asked aloud and Mae nodded, crying bitterly while trying to not make a sound. JR watched her.

"Yes. You would leave and I would miss you. You know that right?" Mae asked, wipping her face.

"Leave? To where?" JR asked. He was so confused. Or did she know that the person in her brother was from another world? JR panicked.

"You have forgotten or what? Did you hit your head on the ground when the car hit you?" Mae asked, trying to touch JR's face but, he pushed her hand lightly, away from his face.

"Know what? Where am I leaving to?" JR asked curiously. He as already getting uncomfortable.

"Mother said we shouldn't tell Ara and that is why I sent her out…Mother said you should get prepared. The people you are going to be working for would soon arrive." Mae said, bowing her head and playing with her fingers. She wasn't nervous, she was sad that her brother was leaving. Though they fought a lot, she didn't wish for him to leave.

"People? Working for who? What?!" JR asked, raising his voice. He wanted to know more but, Mae immediately left the room. "Don't tell me they are selling me off for money like in the novels I read?" JR asked himself, horror evident all over his face.

"Baby JR, food would be ready soon. Why don't you take a bathe and change, hmm?" Ara asked, peeking through a slight opening at the middle of JR's closed door.

'Did she hear I and Mae's conversation?' JR thought. Though, Ara sounded gleeful as she spoke.

"Okay, I would do that." JR responded and immediately, he heard her retracting steps. She was no longer on his doorstep.

JR stood up from the bed where he sat and moved to a side of the small room two big bags were positioned. He opened the bags and saw clothes. "Okay. Well, what are we gonna wear?" JR asked himself aloud, suddenly forgetting the whatsoever Mae said.

He chose a plain yellow coloured shirt and pants pyjamas. He look around the foreign room and found a small table meant for cosmetics and hairdos. "Woah! This boy is personal dermatologist huh?"

"Who are you talking to, big baby?"

JR jumped in shock upon hearing a sudden voice. He looked back and glared at Mae who just stood with folded arms, staring at him pathetically.

"Don't you know how to knock? And what can I possibly do in my room that demands you asking?" JR asked annoyed. He was frowning at Mae who seemed unfazed. 'she was the same girl who cried few minutes ago right?'

"Mother said you should sneakishly leave the house and meet her at the front yard. Ara shouldn't know." Mae said, turning to leave immediately.

"Why?" JR asked confusedly. He wasn't comfortable with everyone telling him go here, go there.

"Those people are here already but, are outside. And, Mother said you shouldn't take anything with you." Mae answered still holding his door handle tightly. JR had stopped her on her way leaving his room.

"Fine. Anyway, why don't you want your sister to know about it?" JR asked casually as he dropped whatsoever he was holding and grabbed his school bag and phone.

"She.. she's… she's a crybaby." Mae said and left at once.

"Hmmph!" JR sighed and followed Mae. He gave his room a last look and closed the door behind him. He looked around and when he was sure everywhere was Ara free, he opened the door and closed it behind him. 'Guess I'll just flow with the wind for now.'

"Is this the kid?"

"Yes, sir."

"Hope he has absolutely nothing on him?"

"Definitely. We took the phone and bag away from him."

"Good. Where is he now?"

"At the spare hotel room."

"Get him out of there immediately and take him to Sergio. He works for Sergio now."

"Yes, sir."

"Hello, boy. What is your name?" A young man asked as he squatted in front of JR. Don't get me wrong, JR isn't so short.

"Jade.. JR, I mean." JR replied, darting his eyes around. He almost told his real identity.

"JR, what a lovely name." The man nodded, smiling at JR. "Well, I don't like the letter J so, let's say we give you a pet name." The man added making JR frown.

"But, why do you hate the letter J?" JR asked inquisitively.

"Actually, I have a rival and his name starts with a letter J. Fair enough, isn't it?" The man said, smirking at JR who remained silent to that.

The man brought our his hand and stretched it to JR and with a smile he said "I'm Sergio Mendes, your boss and the only person who you work for. Nice to meet you JR."

JR gasped in shock. Sergio Mendes? The main character of this book? Messiah's rival? The man who…. 'Him?' JR didn't know whether to be furious or not.

"Sergio, it's time to leave for Brazil."

JR heard a familiar voice say from behind him. He turned back and saw a familiar face. It was the man he first laid eyes on when Jade found herself in this world.

"You?" The man asked. "Sergio, he is the boy I told you about who I asked for a bakery and gave me a weird response." The man added and heard Sergio chuckle.

"He is now my pet. JR meet Miguel, Miguel meet JR." Sergio introduced with a smile on his face. He had already taken a liking to JR.

"I've told you that when we are in Philippine you should call me Michael and introduce me as Michael." The man said, pouting childishly causing Sergio to roll his eyes. He then looked at JR. "Hello and Bye. Let's leave Sergio."

"Okay, I would be leaving now kid. Take care of my house and make sure you speak to no one. Be careful, don't go anywhere as well." Sergio said and patted JR's head before leaving the speechlessly boy. He kept in mind that JR didn't take his handshake.

'Should I be happy that I'm already close to my mission or I should be angry that I'm with Sergio instead of Messiah?' Jade in JR thought, watching the two handsome men leave.

JR's mind suddenly waved to something else. More like, something suddenly entered his mind and line of thoughts. "Where is Mr Angus's BL book?"
