1 Twilight

Prolog : Twilight. I like twilight. The moment I first saw him. It's okay if he's still in a strong way with his lady for now, because I'm sure that one day at the same twilight we will surely meet back. Ardana Fathan Pramudya. I'll be here and keep waiting like yesterday, like when twilight comes on Saturday afternoon.

Preview : Only a few minutes after the twilight completely disappeared, the man walked towards the cashier and then walked out of the coffee shop.

Jani POV

I'm Anjani Nathania. A nerdy girl who has only dated once in my whole life. It's not that I'm proud to have been in a relationship, it's just that compared to my friends it seems like I'm the only one who isn't good at dating. It's been proven that I've only been dating once when I started college, only 2 years lasted. Okay, 2 years is a long time. Hmm... I've already broken up, but I and my ex are now pretty good friends.

"You really don't want to come with us to Green Trees coffee shop, Jan?" This is the tenth question asked by my best friend, Bella.

Because I was lazy to get the same question, finally, I just went along, it's pretty good, a Saturday afternoon like this, someone asked me to go for a walk, even though I actually prefer to stay at home at my room read Dan Brown's book, which is only a quarter of the book left.

"Bel, do you think I'm weird wearing this dress? I don't really know fashion like you, Bell. Haha, it's a shame, you're so cute while I look like a bum," I said seriously.

"What the hell, Jan? You just be yourself, maybe you think you're not cute, not attractive, but how come someone else confessed to me, if he thinks you're unique and very interesting with your style, your fashion is a bit boyish and just what it is," Sarah, who according to my college friends was a princess, immediately replied when Bella was about to open her mouth.

"Okay, then let's go," I asked, I'm not gonna wait so long because tonight , I have been planning to spend time with my idol, Dan Brown.

We arrived at Green Trees when the sun was setting, we immediately chose a seat right next to the large window that directly overlooks the garden of this coffee shop. This is my first time going to this place. I think it's pretty good. With a garden behind it and a few bookshelves in the right corner by the large window in front of us. Actually the shape of the building is simple, just a square, with the cashier and coffee server to the left of the entrance. The architectural style matches the name, Green Trees, with nicely arranged bonsai pots. I think I will feel at home here, looking at the garden with the fish pond, ooh .. and yes there is a table in the garden for visitors but I think there is only one table left in the corner of the garden. I think this place is the right choice to read my novel.

"Jan, you remember Rangga, right?" The question came out from Reza's mouth.

The four of us came and from the three of my friends, it seemed that only Reza really liked to bring up Rangga.

"Hmm yes I remember, why?" I'm turning back the question.

"You guys are friends now, what's your style of being friends, if you're already an ex? I often envy you, why do you and Rangga feel like everything is fine after breaking up," I saw Reza looking at me soot-sharply

"Rez... tell us if you want to tell us, this is the umpteenth time you've brought up the Rangga problem to Jani, but you've never told us about why you always ask Jani the same thing," Sarah replied.

"Yes, Rez, honestly, I'm also curious," Bella continued.

Actually, I'm not the type of person who likes to care about people's lives, including my friends. I'm not introvert, i'm just.. uhh.. i don't wanna disturb them when they still wanna be alone. You know what I mean.

"I'm confused about what to do, I've never told you all this time because I'm afraid you'll judge me, please don't need to talk about it, I'm not ready to tell you yet," Reza's tears suddenly fell without being ordered. This is what I mean by "They still wanna be alone."

"Don't force Reza to tell us first, right, we want to be happy, all of you said," I interceded.

Well that's how the four of us were. Caring and understanding each other. Even though, I feel like I'm the one who doesn't like being too curious about other people's lives, but I do care. Because I think, there will be a time when they are ready to talk. After a while ,our order finally came. I prefer greentea latte than espresso, or something like that.

I just wanted to drink, but I feel like I need to pee. "Guys, I need to go to the toilet first," without waiting for an answer I went straight to the toilet. Just arrived in front of the bookshelf, out of nowhere came a man with glasses and a work shirt rolled up to his elbows and hair that was no longer neat.

I don't know, out of the many male visitors at this coffee shop, I think he is the most attractive. In just one look, I was attracted to him. Honestly, my imagination ran without stopping until I finished from the toilet.

Author POV

Jani sat back down at the table where her friends were laughing happily because of Sarah's funny story. However, what Jani did was sit and stare at every movement of the man who was currently sitting near the large window in front of the bookshelves. The man looked at his watch several times and occasionally sipped his coffee while continuing to read the book he took from the shelf. Don't know who he's waiting for. Only a few minutes after the twilight had completely disappeared the man walked towards the cashier and then left.

"Wow! What are you daydreaming about?" Sarah tapped Jani's shoulder which automatically made the girl gasp in surprise. Sarah then saw where Jani's gaze was directed. "Did you see the guy who just left?"

"Which guy, Sar?" Reza went crazy.

"Stop it, you guys just so curious," Jani rolled her eyes lazily.

Jani and her friends spend time at Green Trees joking with each other cheerfully. After sunset, Jani, again, caught the figure who had been grabbing her attention more or less. The man with the glasses went back into the cafe.

"How come there is such a handsome man, huh?" Jani suddenly spoke to herself.

Jani's friends, who were previously giggling at Sarah's joke, one by one stopped laughing and looked at Jani. Sarah and Bella looked at each other. Likewise with Reza who raised his eyebrows high. The three of them then looked at Jani's gaze. Instantly the three of them gaped at the man Jani was referring to.

"It's good, but Rico is more handsome." Bella cut her attention and took her drink.

"Hey, Bel! Your own boyfriend is clearly praised pffft!" Reza sneered.

"It's up to me, right, hahaha!" Bella seemed to stick her tongue out at Reza.

"But it's true, he's so handsome Jan, you have a crush on or what?" Sarah was amused.

"Yup, I have a crush, my acute single illness is like finding a cure," Jani giggled.

"Pffft, too much!" Reza replied embarrassed.

"Seriously, this time I want to have a boyfriend too, so I don't keep being called an acute single," Jani drank her green tea latte.

"Don't have a boyfriend because of what people say, but when your heart is ready to accept and start falling in love, then you can date again," Bella gave advice.

"Bella's right, Jan. We all know your story very well from the past, we don't want you to just flirt with a guy to date," Reza added, Bella just seemed to nod her head in agreement with both opinions.

"Nope, I don't choose randomly, I just looked at it, and found handsome guy who look mature and wise," Jani smiled while raising and lowering her eyebrows.

"Your tastes have changed, haven't you?" Sarah asked.

"Now, I want to try with someone who is mature and stable. Handsome, kind, loyal, in love with me, friendly, sweet and…" Jani had not finished speaking, Bella had cut her off.

"And there will be no perfect guy!" the four of them burst out laughing.
