Dana walked while holding Jani's hand. "I want to buy a shirt, I want you to choose for me," Dana took Jani to a clothes shop in a mall not far from the apartment.

"Okay, but promise me you will wear it at work. Wether you like it or not."

"As long as you choose a good and suitable one, I will definitely wear it."

"It's up to me, tho' hahaha!"

"Hey you! I'm gonna look so weird on people eyes if the shirt is tacky yaw."

"That's my real reason hahaha!"

"You got me, sweetheart," Dana laughed too.

They walked towards the parking lot after they finished shopping. Dana bought Jani a flat shoes. Jani thought Dana would ask her to wear heels. Apparently, Dana chose to buy a pair of black and blue flats even though Jani hoped in her heart that she would got a sneaker. It's okay as long as Dana doesn't ask her to wear heels to work everyday. Dana said, "I like that you wear flats for everyday use. It looks cute."

"Jani!" said someone from behind them. When Jani turned her head, she found the figure of Rangga alone with his trademark smile.

"Hey, you alone?" Jani asked trying to act normal.

"Yeah, last night after taking you home, I asked you to go to the mall, but you didn't reply, right?" Rangga answered firmly, making Jani want to just disappear from there. While Dana was still holding Jani's hand and kept looking at Rangga coldly.

"Oh, well, this is my boyfriend, Dana, and uhmm.. this is Rangga," Jani changed the subject.

"I'm Rangga, Jani's ex," Rangga held out his hand first.

"Dana," without wanting to comment on Rangga's introduction, Dana answered then shook Rangga's hand.

"We'll gonna go, seeya!" Jani quickly asked Dana to leave.

Arrived at apartment, they were still silent. Jani didn't understand what Dana was thinking about her. She knew she was guilty. Really. But seeing Dana acting cold and untouchable made Jani's guts shrink. But Jani doesn't wanna be ignored like that. She didn't want to go trought the day without hearing that man's voice.

"Dana wait!" Jani stopped Dana who was about to go straight into his room.

"Yes?"

They then sat in front of the TV. Dana chose to sit on the right side of the table instead of sitting next to Jani on the sofa.

"Honey, why are you suddenly ignoring me since the mall parking lot?" "You are stupid, you know why he is remain silent, and you still asking it," Jani curse herself in her mind.

"Why?"

"What do you mean?"

"Why did you lie last night?"

"I… I can explain."

"Go on!"

"I'm afraid you'll be angry, if I meet Rangga, I lied to Rangga as if I don't live here, I reluctantly agreed to Rangga's invitation to be taken to Papa's house."

"So?"

"I lied because I thought maybe you couldn't accept my explanation when I said I met another man even if it wasn't on purpose."

"Rangga your ex, you guys met by accident. Where?"

"At the supermarket, then Rangga asked me to just drink coffee."

"Hah! A coffee date? Then what? You said you don't have any lover? You said you don't live with me, so that Rangga will keep trying to get you? Then you chose to lie with the excuse of visiting your father because you were afraid that I would know the longing of an ex-couple like you?" Dana sneered and said with emotion.

Jani gaped at Dana's accusations. For whatever reason she wasn't even comfortable when she was alone with Rangga.

"It's not like that! I never thought so petty at all. I'm just uncomfortable that other people know I live under the same roof without marriage. Please, believe me, i love you so much. I will not commit such a thing to you," Jani pleaded.

She confidently expresses love for the first time. She was very firm with his heart. She loved this man so much. She wasn't going to wait for Dana to say love. Let him say first, it's okay as long as Dana doesn't leave her.

"Another man? Rangga, your ex! Is his feeling more important than mine? Then you'd rather lie to me just to cover up your encounter?"

Jani frowned. She didn't understand why Dana could accuse her of going that way. "It is exactly because I respect your feelings so that I…"

"it's enough!" Dana cut Jani's words with a snarl before Jani finished.

Jani was shocked half to death. She didn't expect it to feel so strange and painful. Jani didn't want to cry even though there were already tears in her eyes. Dana stood up from her seat, walked away leaving Jani who was still read on Dana's attitude. Immediately Jani stood up and hugged Dana's sturdy back.

"I'm so sorry, I promise, I won't lie again. I'm serious I've never been as you think. Please, Give me another chance," Jani's defense had collapsed. She said while sobbing from crying.

"You know I hate being lied to the most, I hate being betrayed the most. A Coffee that has been sprinkled with salt will no longer taste good. It's like a heart that's been covered with lies. But, I forgive you. I give you a chance. From now on whatever you want to do I won't get in the way, I won't interfere in your business. And vice versa," Dana let go of Jani's arms. He walked one step then turned to look at Jani. Jani stared at Dana's eyes which showed pain. Jani didn't know what to say. Everything is beyond Jani's mind. How bad is she?

"You won't care anymore what I'll be, after this?" Jani timidly asked which was only answered with a nod of his head. Jani started crying again. She looked down while twisting the hem of his shirt. She kept muttering like an elementary school kid. "I'm Sorry... So sorry. I Apologize."

Dana cupped Jani's cheek. Wiping Jani's tears. Then, removing his hand from Jani's cheek, Dana said, "You two are the same. Reyna and you both prefer to keep another feelings than mine."

Jani was transfixed by Dana's statement. Reyna? Jani doesn't even know someone named Reyna. When Jani was still busy with her mind and heart aching from being compared to other women, Dana had left her just like that.

Jani walked into her room with a heavy heart. She chose to just curl up on his bed. With no intention of changing clothes or cleaning her face, Jani continued to cry silently all night long.

It's not that Dana doesn't know that Jani is crying. He had already guessed it would be like this. Their adjoining room made it possible to hear Jani's weep, though after that there was no sound. Dana thought Jani was asleep.

"I miss you Rey, you know even after you left I still struggle with my own heart. It feels definitely different, Rey. I find it easier to let this girl go."
