Chapter Nine

As I wake, I feel like I forgotten something. I get dressed and realize I have no idea where I am at. I need to go home. To my father. I know that I don't like it there but I should just go home. I walk out of the building, I see a boy with pink hair. Fake right. He waves at me.

"Hey, Lucy. How are you?" He asks as a blue, talking cat shows up next to him. I start backing up. His face slowly transforms from happiness to terror.

'Natsu, I don't think she remembers us." The blue cat says.

"Really, Happy. As if I hadn't noticed." He points out. He looks over to me, I am still backing away. I quickly turn to run, but he grabs my arm. "Lucy, where are you going?"

"If you kidnapped me, just know that my father won't pay you." I say and Natsu flinches. He drags me away.

"We need to talk. You have it all wrong. Will you listen?" He pauses and I nod. He sighs and continues, "First, your part of a guild and second, your father is dead. He died 1 year from tomorrow. Third, we didn't kidnap you."

We enter a big building, a lady with long, white hair looks over and so does a girl with medium length, blue hair.

"Natsu, why are you dragging Lucy?" The girl with white hair asks, everyone else looks at us at that.

"She has forgotten even more, Mira. Master, can you look at her?" Natsu says, a short elderly man gets up.

"Of course, Natsu." The man asks. Natsu lets go and I make a run for the exit. But a man with dark blue hair and no shirt, blocks the exit.

"You can't keep me here. I have to go home." I start up, my voice. Eyes are going wide. "MY FATHER WILL HAVE YOU ARRESTED."

"I told you, Lucy. Your father is dead. This is your home." Natsu says.

"Screw you. I have never met you before." I say. I grab the key. "Come, Xino."

He appears, "yes, Mistress."

"Where are your other keys?" A lady with long, red hair asks.

"This is my only key." I say.

"Mistress, let's get you home." He says with a smirk. He grabs my hand. But he does something unexpected, "Told you, boy. She will never remember you."

"What did you do?' I ask, yanking my hand away. He looks at me, reaching for me again. This time, I back up.

Flash of white then I see things I don't remember.

"You said you wanted to join Fairy Tail, right Lucy." The boy with pink hair says. Pulling me away from the boat crash.

"Yeah, by the way, YOU OVER DID IT." I say back.

The scene changes.

"I don't want to leave you guys. I ran away from home." I say crying and everyone else looks at me and the pink haired boy.

"Don't worry, your part of our family. You don't have to leave if you don't want to." He tells me sincerely.

"Thank you, Natsu." I say with a whimper.

Again the scene changes.

"Lucy!" Natsu cries out somewhere below me.

"Natsu!" I cry out and he catches me. I hug him.

I see one last scene.

"Natsu, I..., well, I love you, and after the mission where we pretended to be husband and wife, I couldn't handle the fact that you most likely didn't feel the same. So instead of the torture of being around you and not being with you, I decide it was best i I removed you entirely. I am so sorry. I understand if you don't feel the same but I had to tell you." I tell Natsu

"Lucy," Natsu stumbles, "I love you too."

"I get it, that you," I stumble over my words. "Wait, really. You love me. Like love, love me."

"Yes, Lucy. I couldn't help but fall in love with you." He says, "You are always helping people and so kind. Though you have rough times it's like you know exactly what to say and when. When you found out that we tricked you to being apart of the team. You still wanted to be apart of our team. You came with all of us when Mira asked you to. You are such a nerd that it has saved of butts so many times. The whole guild is my family but when you decided to go on this job, I could help but worry about you every second. I love you more than anything in my life. I couldn't even eat while you were gone. And you know me, I am always hungry. I couldn't function. Heck, Erza didn't even ask me to come alone to get you from this job, I ask her to come and help me come and get you. I don't know and don't want to know what I would do without you in my life."

I turn to Natsu and see worry cover his face. I feel a liquid streaming down my face, it is my tears. "Xino, our contract is over. Open, gate of the guardian king."

The guardian king shows up and take Xino away. I run back to my apartment. I find my keys and on by one I apologize to each and every one of my spirits. Natsu comes in half way through my spirits and I continue pretending that he isn't there.

Once I am done, I feel arms smother me in a hug. I giggle. "Natsu, I am sorry."

"Not your fault. Only thing is, it took you long enough to remember." He turns me around and leans down. We kiss.
