5 . We killed him..

The coldness of the night is transformed into warmth as the morning sun rises. To welcome the sun, all of the birds began to sing in a pleasant voice.

" ...ella!" the fading voice began to cry out across the passageway disrupting the calmness of dawn.

"..nella!" getting Noisier with the heavy footsteps.

"Minella, here you are. I knew you would be here. " She exhaled in relief as she reached at the doorway.

And move slowly inside the room, ignoring the ground, "Last night I was so tired that I didn't check whether you were sleeping in bed" in a complaining tone.

But as Raina walks a little further inside, her legs trip with something, "I got scared not seeing you on the bed...", which made her attention shift towards the floor with her voice fading away. Her eyes ferociously moved around.

  She gasped, "Huh! "What on earth?" while hiding her cheeks with her hands, jerked in amazement.

The whole floor was a mess, adorned with scattered books.

"Hey, Minella why you have scattered books on the floor," Raina screamed looking at the books on the ground and then She scanned the whole room with a quick glance and discovered an uncanny warmth blooming in the corner of the room. Her sight stopped once she confirmed Minella's presence beyond the gloomy scenario of the room.

She moved in slowly, avoiding any squishing under her feet while holding her dress up with both of her hands.

"Minella, what the hell you were doing the whole night?" She yells at her once more, this time in a shirt tone, as she moves slowly in her direction while slightly tugging up the skirt of her dress. 

She came to a halt in the corner of a room near the window. It was a little farther away from the place Minella had taken refuge as a child.

she become suspicious because even after screaming over and over again Minella didn't respond. she quickly went closer to her in order to confirm her suspicion.

As she went closer to Minella, she heard a peculiar noise being produced from somewhere. "Don't.. le.." which was broken and rusty.

She quickly drew up the blanket that Minella was holding, which only covered half of her body from head to tummy, leaving the rest of her body exposed to the air.

Beyond the blanket, a pale complexion shivering in cold sweats makes an appearance. Her black hair, which was usually used as an instrument of charm, was now completely saturated wet from her sweats.

Minella was barely able to keep her cover, which was doing her no good, but she was adamant about keeping it. As if she wanted to cover her up but didn't have the energy to properly pull it up.

She opened her crystal glittering blue eyes painfully, as the light falls on them. Those eyes struggle to stay content and had lost their shine.

"What the hell happened, Minella? I don't remember leaving you like this yesterday." Raina, with her face filled with astonishment, asked, holding the blanket in her hand.

As the sight of Raina fell before the eyes of Minella, she burst into tears, screaming, "Raina! What should I do? " Her noise of crying became so loud as she held her hand up towards the place where Raina was standing.

Watching Minella sobbing hysterically. Raina becomes disturbed. "What's wrong, Minella?" she asks, holding her hand out to Minella as she sits in front of her. She was speaking with a trembling voice and was on the verge of crying.

Raina really loves Minella a lot. She has seen Minella cry like a baby in the past a lot. But after entering the place to work as the maid, this is the first time she sees Minella burst out in tears like a baby in the whole seven years.

She was totally shocked and unsure of how to comfort her to stop her weeping.

She asked, grasping her waist tightly, "Tell me exactly what happened, Minella," as she extended her hands and hugged her close to her shoulder.

"Andrew...!" Minella scream as she was crying with her mouth wide open.

As the word Andrew left the mouth of Minella, Raina's eyes grew wider as all of a sudden she remained at the scene of the Andrew house which they visited.

She pulled Minella's face in front of her face slowly and asked, "What about Andrew?"

She holds Raina tightly and screams, "He died." in her barely audible voice.

"I killed him." stream of tears was falling non-stop as she was talking to Raina.

As Minella screams, Raina gets, all of a sudden, some ominous feelings inside her body. She holds Minella's shoulder and jerks in front of her face and speaks with a calm face.

"No Minella, he and his family left the town, don't you remember we even asked the townspeople." she tenderly wipe her tears with her palm after speaking.

But Minella whispers softly in her crying voice, "No he didn't leave, but he was forced out of his house in order to get executed." Her sobbing becomes very loud.

Even her breathing was very uneven. She felt something had struck her inside her throat.

With her barely audible voice, she added, "They even killed his whole family." The voice that was coming out of her mouth did not even seem like her voice at all, because with time it becomes rusty because of crying.

While wiping the tears from Minella's face again, Raina asked, "What the hell are you talking about? I really don't understand at all. " in order to calm her.

Minella slowly lowered her voice and started explaining, "You have already seen when you went with me to his house." All the things in his house were broken, and their pieces were shattered all over the place. "Even the floor was broken."

"Yes, but..." Raina's attempt to speak gets cut off because, in her mind, she had the same feeling as Minella.

Minella then put her head on her shoulder and asked, "Do you remember when we talked about the event to mother? Her behavior was odd too."

"Back then, mother knew what happened to Andrew. That's why she hid the truth from us."

"She didn't want us to be upset."

"But Minella why would he get executed, he never commits any crime." as she pats the back of Minella she asked.

Minella forces her head away from Raina's shoulder and exclaims, "Yes he did."

She pulled herself to the floor in order to reach the book and said, "We made him a criminal."

Minella held the book in front of Raina's face with both hands, saying, "And his offense was learning and writing." She bit her lips hard in anguish.
