My cheeks flushed to reddest they could.

I-I mean, duh, right? He l-loves me. I knew that, but, hearing it so directly and sincerely and desperately, of course I'm shaken!

"Ryuu..." Caught up in the moment, I started lifting my hand to touch his cheek. "I—"

Then, the bell rang, bringing me back to my senses.

"W-We're late." I stated the obvious as I awkwardly looked away.

"Mm." Ryuu nodded as he interlaced our fingers together.

I bit my lip.

"W-We need to go to class." I tried again and placed my other hand on the door handle. "So—"

"Haruka." Ryuu simply called out my name, but my resolution to escape crumbled, not that it was that strong in the first place.

No! Stay strong!

I took a breath before facing Ryuu to end this.
