"But, if you really want to go back to your old life, I'm not gonna stop you. I mean, I'm even helping you!" Akira quickly assured me when he saw I got discouraged. But it was my own doubts that filled my mind.

Akira's argument resounded in my mind. 'What if this life's better?' But, my other life is safer. I don't have to be afraid of people obsessing over me. In fact, my other life is like the exact opposite of this one. No one would notice if I disappeared. 

Actually, those people might even celebrate.

"Haru? Whatchu thinking?" Akira pressed both of my cheeks together and leaned in to closely stare into my eyes.

"Oh, uh, nothing." My lips flapped like a fish's. "Can you back off now?" Akira pouted before giving my face one last squish and letting go.
