•Chapter Nine-Update

Sayaka flew back, tumbling into the ground. Her face bloodied, arms hurting, and vision blurry. As the air picked up to her side, she quickly rolled out of the way to safety.

- Boom!

- Crack!

She glanced to the side.

- Gulp.

The tree that she rested on for no more than half a second was blown to pieces. She shuddered when she thought it could have been her skull.

Muhons head turned her direction. The blindfold did little to mask him from seeing her position. She quickly raised her hand fearing that he would continue his assault while she was down.

"I-I give up."

She was many things, but suicidal was not one of them. After hurtling Kunai and Shuriken at his face, engaging in a foolish battle of Taijutsu, and trying her luck with a couple of Earth Style Jutsu's. She quickly realized that she was outmatched.

Of course, she noticed that Muhon had gone relatively easy on her. Even now there was not a single bead of sweat on his head.

"I'll get you next time."

Muhon helped her from the floor. He smiled, "I'll be looking forward to it."

He wasn't. He lost count of how many times he purposely missed his strike, including the last attack, to force her to give up and admit she had lost.

"Wow, he beat you up real good." Yamamoto observed Sayaka. "Nothing a trip to the hospital can't fix."

Muhon finally took off the blindfold and let his dark eyes rest over Sayaka's figure. He knew he had done damage, but not to this extent. He almost felt bad.

Almost.

Sparring was over and soon it would be sundown. As Muhon and Sayaka exchanged pointers, well, mainly Muhon telling her what she had done wrong and could improve upon; Yamamoto had different thoughts swirling in his mind.

Aburame Shin. He was the third and most suspicious member of the team. At first glance he appeared to be a shy and reserved type, but Yamamoto saw through his super acting.

'There's a deathly aura surrounding him…'

An aura he recognized all too well. 'And he's far more skilled than he lets on.'

Yamamoto first noticed this during the survival training he put them through on the second day. Shin's movements were light and refined. He occasionally purposely 'slipped', but he didn't fool Yamamoto. Or Muhon, for that matter.

'I'll keep an eye on him for now. If he proves himself to be a threat. I'll eliminate him.'

A cold breeze suddenly spread through the forest. Yamamoto's jovial face momentarily replaced by a cold and calculative gaze.

"I'll be going home, Yamamoto-Sensei. T-thank you Muhon."

Muhon laughed. Beneath Sayaka's rough exterior was a rather meek and timid interior. Perhaps that was a she protected herself from the outside world.

"No problem."

"Hold on!"

Yamamoto grinned and wrapped his arms around the necks of his students.

"Let's go get something to eat."

-

Yamamoto made conversation with his students as they strolled around. Sayaka, after much coercion, opened up to him about some of her hobbies while Muhon preferred to talk less.

"We're here."

They entered a small buffet that served all types of Japanese cuisine. There were hardly any people this it was rather easy to hear the obnoxiously loud table in the corner.

There was three genin and what seemed to be their teacher. Muhon recognized the three genin as Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. Their teacher the legendary Kakashi Hatake.

Yamamoto waved and spoke back to the two of them. After grabbing several plates of food, Muhon and his company sat across the three genin.

Yamamoto had taken Kakashi and sat somewhere else. There was obviously a history between the two from the way Kakashi addressed Yamamoto as "sir."

"This is awkward… haha."

Sakura laughed. No one talked and the atmosphere was stale. Even the usually talkative Naruto had his hands crossed grumbling over something.

"I'm tired of doing those stupid missions!"

Naruto finally said.

"I need something more exciting. Like actual ninja's! Hey you, does your sensei make you do D-rank missions all day too?"

Muhon raised his head from his food. He was not at all bothered by the way Naruto addressed him. The kid was rather forgetful so he probably didn't even remember him from back in the academy.

"We've done a couple."

"It's boring, right?"

"Naturally."

"Hey, Hannya-Kun",

Sakura chimed in.

"Has your sensei taught you guys any Jutsu yet?"

Muhon nodded. Yamamoto had tested their chakra affinity the first day. Right after he taught Sayaka a pair of earth style Jutsu's, and shin a couple of water style Jutsu.

For obvious reasons he wasn't taught anything. He explained all of this to Sakura in great detail and detected the silver of jealousy concealed in her pupils.

"Is that right… must be nice."

"He's totally better than our sensei."

Naruto said. He stuck his tongue out at Kakashi in anger.

- Fwip!

- Bow!

The latter launched a spoon, hitting Naruto squarely on the head. "Ouch! It hurts…"

Naruto rubbed the spot the spoon hit, a mountainous bruise growing from his head. "Anyway, Kakashi-Sensei hasn't taught us a single thing. We've only done Taijutsu and Bukijutsu stuff. I'm over it. I'm gonna tell Jiji to assign someone else because he can't do his job properly."

There was not an ounce of respect for Kakashi within Naruto's words. Muhon chuckled and wondered why the masked shinobi hadn't taught his students anything yet.

Was it a test of sorts? Or perhaps he was still deciding what to teach them? Whatever the case, the three genin across from him were clearly not happy.

For half an hour more, Naruto went on to tell stories about the missions they went on. Nearly all of them focused around an elusive cat named Tora that often gave them a hard time.

The cat apparently belonged to the fire daimyos wife, Madam Shijimi. Muhon faintly recalled hearing stories from Yamamoto about this particular cat and how it had a history of running away and being captured. Luckily he had yet to run into the formidable foe.

-

Yamamoto hummed leaving the buffet. Muhon and Sayaka followed behind his large frame, curious to find out what he was overjoyed about.

Yamamoto stopped mid-step and turned around. He observed both of his students and laid a hand on each of their shoulder.

"Now listen, and listen closely. In exactly two days, we will have a joint training session with Team seven."

He paused and took a moment to convey the seriousness of the matter. "You guys will be competing in capture the flag. I don't know about the other details yet. But you guys need to win, I staked seventy thousand Ryo on this bet I took up with that brat. That's a C-Rank missions worth of Ryo. If you guys don't win…"

He didn't need to finish to get his point across.

He patted the two of them, reminding them one last time to win and flashed away in a swarm of leaves.

Muhon and Sayaka glanced at each other, both breaking out in a small fit of laughter.

-

Muhon hopped into the shower as soon as he got home. He then quickly dried himself with a towel and jumped in his bed to hopefully fall asleep.

[Host.]

His eyes shot back open. Were his ears deceiving him? Has the system that was evading him for the past month or so finally decided to talk to him? He thought to ignore it out of spite, but quickly shook away that thought.

'What's up?'

[Ive come to inform you about update 2.0. You can choose to accept or decline this update. It's up to you.]

Muhon interlocked his fingers behind his head and went into thought. His head pushed further against the silky pillow. 'What does the update entail?'

[The update will give host a 'Skill Tree' which he can use skill points to buy skills. Host can gain skill points by converting his stat points into skill points. However, skill points cannot be used to level up a skill.]

'What kind of skills can I gain from the skill tree?'

[The host will find out, if he decides to update.]

'How long will the update take?'

[One full day. And during this time the host will not have access to any of the systems functions.]

'I see, in that case…'
