Chapter 38 - Baby Boss

Eric’s POV:

After I kissed her once more, I took the car to the hospital. My parents and bodyguards followed us here. Mom is freaking out and dad is mute but with his face darkened and a washed glare. Justin is making calls on my behalf to screw Malcom’s life. No, I won’t end it in the arena. What he did is unforgivable. He didn’t do it to make me weak and win in the arena, he did it for real. I know the motherfucker too well.

I’m on the hospital’s hallway like I was in the arena. I drove here bare feet. I’m waiting for the doctors to come out. They’re in for the last 20 minutes. I walk on the hallway like a lion in a cage, praying to God it’s not more than we already know. My dad has mom in his arms, she’s crying her eyes out on his shoulder.

Ten more minutes pass, I’m having a mined field in my entire body, and two doctors come out.

“Mr. Rodricks?” They have medical files in their hands and look profoundly serious at me.
