When Anthony glanced at her again, she had already fallen asleep. Her face was delicate and showed all the signs of her brokenness. What had had happened, he wasn't sure.

The rain was getting anything but better. It was good she was asleep, at least, she wouldn't feel very uncomfortable. Their clothes were drying faster with the heat from their bodies, but he threw his jacket around her. That way, she would get more protection.

'Not like she needs it, anyway.' He thought, feeling proud.

Time was passing and the rain beating on the roof of the car seemed to him like people tapping on a door and the simultaneous sounds seemed like a lullaby. Having someone sleeping next to him, wasn't the most encouraging criteria for him not to feel sleepy. Though he willed himself not to, he couldn't help the call of nature. And so he stretched out his legs, adjusted his position so he was sitting almost on the edge of the chair and leaned his back against the seat. A rainy, cool day helped a lot in making him fall asleep quickly.

"What is wrong?" Briana asked Dara, she had her back to her in the room. The rain had started, so they had to find somewhere to camp. She was feeling cramped already, staying in the room.

She wondered how cruel Fate was, bringing her close to Dara whom she was not ready for her anger. They were in the room alone, coincidentally, for hours, the rain was just too heavy that sometimes, she was afraid it would cause a flood. They had been there, not talking to each other and Briana couldn't take it anymore.

"I can't believe you're asking me that." She didn't even turn to look at her.

"Why wouldn't I? I didn't say anything bad to you."

Dara turned to her. "You didn't," she shook her head, "but it was all your fault."

Briana put a hand to her chest in surprise. "Me?" Dara lifted her brows in agreement. "I didn't even say anything, so how is this my fault?"

Dara took a few steps closer, pointing at her furiously. "If you had kept your stupid mouth shut, all this wouldn't have happened."

"How is it my fault? I just..."

Briana spread her arms frustrated and confused and the combination lead to anger, but she tried to keep it cool, she knew she didn't deserve to get angry.

Dara interrupted her. "Oh, my God, I saw the Boss today. Ohh, I didn't see all her face, but I can swear the Boss is beautiful. But the Boss is just so... different. Boss, Boss, Bossie, Boss, Boss!" She banged down her palm on the table every time she repeated it. When she felt like she was going to explode, she stopped, put a hand on her waist and took deep breaths.

Briana was so terrified, she had to take multiple steps back to make sure she was safe when Dara lost it.

She honestly had not realized she had said it so much. She was just fascinated, that after all these years working there, she finally met her Employer. And she honestly thought her Friends would be thrilled, but she was miles from right.

But, why was she so mad? She was her friend, she was supposed to be happy if anything good happened for her. Why was she so mad? And why was she keeping her anger at bay?

She had said nothing wrong. She had been a good friend by remaining loyal to her when others were criticizing her. She had tried to talk her friends out of seeing her as the enemy. She had done multiple things to cheer her up.

But in the end she was blaming her?

Oh, no.

She wasn't Mother Mary.

"I can't believe you're putting the blame on me. Gosh, Dara," she breathed, "you're so shameless. Like, I stood up for you and here you are, spitting all sort of rubbish, proudly, in front of me. Just because of the jealousy and envy in your heart, all this is happening, so stop putting the blame on me! Why can't you go and confront those who really are at fault?" She asked Dara.

Dara turned to her and smiled darkly. "Wow! And you call yourself a friend. A friend who is willing to put her friends in what is possibly dangerous. I can't believe I never saw the backstabber hiding in you all these while, Briana, but I'm glad I'm seeing it now." She walked across the room and towards the door. She had been so mad at Briana, she just realized the rain was stopping rapidly. But before she stepped out of the door, she looked over her shoulder at Briana. "I just feel sorry for those who can't see what a fake you are." She said and walked away, leaving Briana to realize what a fool she really was.

A Friend didn't tell someone, supposed to be an outsider at the moment, to attack her Friends.

Anthony didn't know what, but he was suddenly awake. He rubbed his eyes and sat up fully. The rain had reduced to a drizzle now and he could actually drive.

He turned to look at her to be sure she was there and Okay. She had a hand in between her thighs and a hand under her head. It showed she was cold, but apart from that, she was sleeping soundly.

Reassured, he started the car and started driving, still wary of the wet roads.

By the time they got home, she was still sleeping. He parked the car and got out, but when he opened the door and wanted to carry her, she opened her eyes.

They just stared at each other for sometime.

"We are here." He said awkwardly, but she didn't seem to feel the same. She just sat up and said,

"I can walk myself."

"Then do so." He said, but he didn't know when or why. When he saw her look at him, he bit his inner lip. "I didn't mean to say that."

She drew her gaze from him and got out of the car, his Jacket fell to the floor. He apologized about it and bent to pick it, but she didn't even seem to notice it fell, she just walked right on it with her chin held high and left him there.

She did it on purpose!

He was struck at first, but he recovered quickly and picked it up.

He followed her up to her room in awkward silence and when he had opened it and she stepped inside, she turned to him and said when he wanted to close the door,

"Keep it up; your bravery. But not with me." She walked further inside and he took it as a cue to leave her alone.
