Flirtatious

"Tyler Rylan, found, bundled, and ready."

Jasmine got up, after saying no words on the phone as she eyed Dylan.

"Mr. Smith, I'll be nice enough to escort you to your Car."

He took it as a cue and got up, too, saying dryly, "your hospitality is highly recommendable."

Jasmine only shook her head as they went down the stairs; she could not let him ride in her Private Elevator, and she couldn't enter the Employees' Elevator either, their only choice was the stairs.

Her hospitality.

What had he been expecting her to do before he decided to show up at her Company to discuss a matter she wanted nothing to do with, but was unfortunately wrapped up in its mess?

Jasmine clicked her tongue.

It was an office, not a gift-shop.

"You don't expect me to kiss your knuckles and treat you like a Princess, when you brought a bad name to me, do you… Mr. Smith?" She asked, rolling his name this way and that on her tongue.

Though she had to admit, it wasn't that rolly.

Dylan gave her a side-way glance.

She sure loved that name a whole lot than expected. She had been using it in almost every sentence she finished.

Her Workers stood up the instant they sighted her.

He felt amused. "How terrible are you, Ms. Reign?" He asked as they took the back, anticipating her answer more than he should.

A low glint spread in Jasmine's eyes. "So terrible, you wouldn't have come to my Office if you had the slightest idea what you're willingly pushing yourself into."

"A Case with an Employee of mine you don't have an iota of like for?"

"If only it was."

"Why isn't it?"

"It wouldn't be a shocker if I told you now, Mr. Smith," she drawled, calling his name again in that rough manner of hers, "don't you think?"

"I don't think it's advisable to ruin surprises."

"Good." She smiled coldly. "And 'surprise' is a happy word. I would 'highly recommend' you used 'shock'."

It made him nod in wonder, at how his very own words were being used against him.

But, why couldn't he shake off the feeling she was being honest?

And it was in that creepy kind of way.

Surprise is a happy word.

"So it is… Going to be something bad?" He asked skeptically, his eyes narrowing.

She came to a stop in front of her own Car, peering squarely into his oceanic eyes. "You can call it anything. But, unfair is excluded."

A crease came on his brows. He shook it off and changed the direction of the conversation.

"We can talk it later... At dark."

Jasmine was left to stare at him for a bit, before she smiling. "Asking me on a Date, Mr. Smith?"

He shrugged. "Take it as anything you want to."

"Is Parental Guidance allowed?"

Her sense of humour brought a smirk to his lips again.

They hadn't had Meals together without their Families involved?

Did she want that, or did she not?

"Depends on your choice."

She stared at him again. "I wouldn't be available."

Hell, no! She couldn't just agree to go on a Date with him, without acting expensive, when they were to be talking about something irrelevant.

"I'm a busy Woman."

Minutes after she drove away, he remained there, thinking.

It seemed their talks, the Picnic and earlier times excluded, had only been...

Flirtatious.

-----

He jerked awake, coughing, as a bucket of cool water was thrown on him with no mercy and shook the drops of water fiercely from his eyes, since his hands were tied.

Literally tied.

He blinked painfully, trying to make out the image of where he was with difficulty. From what he could see, there was nobody there.

The place was empty, then who had poured the water on him?

He shook himself awake. He had been here long enough to get used to the strangeness of his surroundings.

For how long, he couldn't tell. It was as dark as night here, he couldn't even tell the day from the night.

The only thing he really recalled, was looking for…

What was it?

He must have gotten a hit on the head for him not to remember. But, he knew it started with a T…

He forced himself up as shadows filled the place, even though there was no light, and felt his breath turn shallow with fear as the loud click of, seemingly heels, filled the quiet of his Prison.

It was… A Woman?

What he was experiencing at this moment, had not been in the deal he clearly remembered making.

Ensuring his safety 100%?

It sounded like a lullaby in his ears now.

The steps stopped inches away from him. "You're having a good stay, I presume."

It was a Woman alright.

His throat hurt as he said, "it's anything but good."

"That's wonderful!" Her tone was dry and cold, causing him to shiver now, minutes after the water had been thrown on him.

He backed away, but was only pushing himself up against something hard. "C-Can you just let me go? It might be wonderful for you, but it is not for me!"

"Oh?" She blinked slowly, "you made the deal with someone incompetent, Ian, why don't you shut up and see what she has led you into?"

He blinked also.

The way she called his name was similar to a certain somebody he was hired to work for before he ended up here.

"You're right," she said, as if reading his thoughts, "you didn't do a proper research on the nature of the person you're working for before you decided to ruin one of Jasmine Reign's Plans? You disappoint me, Ian."

"Ma'am…" He started urgently, but she cut him off.

"Hush it." He swallowed.

She moved to the side. He followed the direction by the sound of her heels.

Why was this place so dark?

Where was…

"Who says it's dark?" She questioned, tipping a brow up at him in the dark. How did she… "The lighting is perfect, if you ask me."

He blinked again and had to squeeze his eyes shut when the sudden light struck his eyes.

He opened it skeptically, minutes later, feeling confused.

But, the place hadn't been like this a second ago?

It had been completely rid of light, yet now, he could see Candelabra hanging dazzlingly bright from the ceiling, there was fire in the hearth, streaks of sunlight was coming in heavily from the window, he could make out lanterns hanging…

Gods!

Had he been blind-folded?

He looked at the arm he had used to shade his eyes from the brightness.

He had been tied up for Christ's sake!

His eyes trailed to Jasmine in bewildered fear.

He could see her clearly now. Could see the Dress she was clad in and the slit up her thigh. Could see her hair pulled back neatly and the loose straps of her Sandals. Could see her beautiful face and the cold poise it adopted.

He blinked countlessly at her next words.

"I'm letting you go." His mouth formed an O. "Go home and sin no more."
