1 13th Birthday.1

17 November 2005.

Today is my 13th birthday. I was excited because Mom promised to make my birthday cake together. It looks like it's already 7 AM.

"I will go to work, honey ." My dad to my Mom.

" Won't you be with us for my birthday? " I asked.

" I know, Ian. I'm so sorry, but I promise I'll bring you your favourite candy when I get home, okay? " My Dad tried to explain to me.

" Okay !!! " I agreed happily.

I felt great this morning. I'm excited to make my birthday cake with Mom.

" Let's make the cake now, sweetheart! " My Mom said excitedly.

We started to make the strawberry cake. It was fun. Mom also turned on the video camera to make this memory last forever.

Well, at least that is what she said to me.

We made the cake dough perfectly. Now, it's time to put the dough in the oven. After 45 minutes, the cake is ready. We sat at the dining table, and Mom turned on the camera again.

" Today is our pretty little princess's birthday. I can't believe you're already 13 years old today! It felt like you were just a baby last month. " My Mom said Playfully.

" Now, let's turn on the candles, shall we? ".

My Mom turned on the candles, and we started singing,

" Happy birthday Ian, Happy Birthday Ian- "

All of a sudden, someone is knocking on the door loudly.
