Prologue

"Hehehehe…. Ouch- what the Fuck!"

"Stop laughing so weirdly in public, people might think that you are crazy or something"

"If you stop hitting me in the head, I won't be"

"Haha, very funny- Are you fucking eating the meal you ordered or I will eat it for you"

Hurriedly, the person who was letting out some weird laugh protects the meal in front of her by bending down and hover above it.

"Stay away from my food!"

The other person looks at her friend who was acting as if a terrible thief is going to steal something precious from her; rolling her eyes at the childish antics.

"Then eat fast, its' almost time up for lunch hour"

"Yeah yeah alright"

Waving her hand in a dismiss manner, she started to properly eat her lunch.

"By the way Yuna…" She pause her eating calling her friend name and drawling out a bit.

"What Lena?"  Yuna, the good friend of Lena way back from college years shot a quizzical glance at her.

"I was wondering--" "You're going to ask me again what I will do from a scenario you read from that writing prompts you're obsessed with recently aren't you?"

"Mrs Sherlock Holmes, you really do know everything!" Lena put on exaggerated expression as if she was amazed by the 'great' feat accomplished by her friend.

Yuna heave a sigh of helplessness "What's the question, just spit it out"

She is a calm person. Well, at least that is what she wants to believe of her-self.

God knows how she can become friends with the energetic and dramatic person like Lena. Maybe they are friends to fill in the energy that she; Yuna lacks.

Life does seem to work in wonders.

"Eheum… okay, here is the scenario –'When you were seven, you held a fake wedding by the swings with a kid you met at the park. You never saw your childhood 'Spouse' again after that day. Today you received a letter summoning you to a foreign land…where your wedding to the heir to the throne twenty years ago is seen as valid"

Silence ensued.

Lena drums her fingers on the table "And…"

"And what?"  Yuna quirk her brow

"What do you mean by 'and what?' Come on, spill out what you will do on such scenario! Will you go and be with the childhood 'spouse'? oh my"  Putting her hand on her lips, Lena cooed "That is somewhat sweet and romantic"

Lena put her hand on her chest, a sweet smile on her lips.

Seeing the sickeningly sweet smile on Lena face, Yuna frown in disgust.

"Treating a child play as something serious, those people must be sick. I'll tell them to piss off. God knows whether they might be a bunch of lunatics from an asylum"

"YuNA…!"

Lena groans.

Yuna turn her head away from her friend a bit guilty.

Ugh… She didn't say anything wrong though, Lena was asking for her thought on it and she did just that but Yuna is wise enough to not say that out loud for she knows that Lena will have a bigger outburst which will attract attention inside the restaurant and that is annoying.

"Here is another one, think carefully and give me a very wonderful reaction"

Lena scroll her phone and stop on a certain panel, she clears her throat and started reading another scenario from the writing prompts platform.

"Your door is kicked down (Literally) as the hero enters and volunteers you for a quest to save the world, as the one designated in the ancient prophecy.  Then your window is smashed in as the Dark Lord enters to volunteer you to destroy the world, in accordance with the ancient prophecy"

After finished reading, Lena looks on Yuna expectantly'

Yuna felt a bit prick in her mind seeing a hopeful expression on her friend face but she really cannot go against her conscience and make up some elaborated reaction and exciting scenario she will probably commence on hearing the said conflicting prophecy.

Because leaving all the nonsense prophecy behind, the thing or rather actions that have grips her mind is…

"I will pull both the Hero and the Dark Lord ear and angrily berate them by saying 'Fucking moron! Don't you know how to fucking knock? Do you know that I repair my door just a freaking days ago? Do you know how much I spend on repairing? And then I will tug his ear hard. Then I will turn towards the Dark Lord and bellowed 'And you, do you know how much does a glass window cost? What are you? A dog? Even dog don't just smash and enter from the window! They enter through the door!' With that, I will let them repair both the door and window"

Folding her hand on top of her hand like a virtuous lady, Yuna calmly look at Lena.

Both of them silently look at each other in the eye.

Lena was the one to lose the silent contest.

"I can't with you Yuna! Is the door and window more important than the exciting prophecy that you will save the world or either destroyed the world? Which prophecy will you choose? Who will you trust? Going out on some search to prove the validity of the prophecy or something? Don't tell me you haven't think of any of those? Yuna?!"

Yuna clears her throat.

She just did recently fix her constantly creaking door and she could feel the pain in her liver if the door she let it fixed and spend her salary on be destroyed by some damn moron who didn't know how to knock and give his nonsense of some prophecy bullshit.

Huu…

The people who keep turning at their table because of Lena being too loud is not a very pleasant experience right now.

Yuna can just say some adventurous and dramatic thing that Lena expected, settling down the outburst bird whose feather all shrivelled up.

But Yuna will never go against her own self.

She has build up her current personality after much struggle and she like her current self and she don't want to change for anything else. Her outlook, principle and values might change in the near future due to various new experiences that she has yet to encounter, but she didn't want to lose her current steadfast self.

For anything else…

"Well… I do think about the prophecy, I was going to say 'Damn your prophecy, I could barely take responsibility for myself so your saving the world or destroy the world shit can go to hell' and then I will drive both of them out"

"Oh my Gosh…. Ughh…" Lena wipe her face " –You know what Yuna, you have no novel-ship in you"

"You are the one who always keep on asking even though you know that fact clearly than anyone else"

"I know…." Making a mournful expression, Lena stomp her feet "I don't know why I always ask you either"

Checking the time on her wristwatch Yuna stood up.

"Times-up, lets' get back to work"

"Haih" Weakly, Lena stood up and follows Yuna towards the company they are working.

They are having lunch on the opposite restaurant under the company they are working, they have always came to dine on the restaurant every lunch hour.

Waiting for the traffic signal to turn green, Lena dispiritedly walks ahead of Yuna.

Being a corporative slave suck!

 Screech…BANG!!!

And then, it happened too fast, the whole disaster seems to happen in the blink of an eye.

Lena felt a hard push from behind making her fall heavily on the ground and just when she was about to turn in anger and scold the person who push her, she witnessed a scene that makes her lay rooted on the spot she fell down.

A car speedily running grazing an inch away from where she was and her dear friend being RUN over by the car.

Horror flashed before Lena eyes as she saw her friend lying in a pool of blood with her eyes wide open.

After what seems like an eternity of being rooted in her spot, a piercing wail like scream finally burst out of Lena.
