The New Encounter

Sharon? It's you, right? Urvi heard an unfamiliar voice and looked up. "Who is he? Why is he calling me Sharon?" A handsome young man bowed to Urvi and said "Yeah! it's you, Sharon." Before Urvi could speak anything, the guy hugged him. Urvi was confused. A piece of her wanted to feel that unfamiliar warmth, but her mind wanted to know this unexpected behaviour from a stranger. "Who are you?" Urvi asked the guy. Urvi glared at the handsome man with sparkling eyes.

"It's me, Brian. Don't you remember me? Where were you till now?" Brian's stunning face was more attractive. This was the first time when Urvi liked someone. Urvi was still uncertain why Brian called her Sharon?

"Sharon? Answer me." Brian was still waiting for her response. Urvi was blank. She didn't know what to reply. "Shall I tell him I am not Sharon?" Urvi wanted to tell the truth, but she didn't want that face to disappear. She wanted to hug him again. She was craving the warmth she felt a few minutes ago. Urvi and Brian were gazing at each other. Their eyes were shining as if they knew they were meant to be there. They didn't realise that it started pouring a while ago. They were drenched. Brian held her hand and took her into the house.

"Where do you live? Why are you here?" Brian asked Urvi. "This is my house. Let's get inside and dry ourselves before we catch a cold," said Urvi.

Both went inside. Urvi went through the wardrobe to see if there were clothes to get changed. She took out her mom's white dress that she always wanted to wear. She looked for a T-shirt and shorts for Brian. She changed into a beautiful white dress. Water dripping from her hair made the dress a little see-through. She picked up the towel and started drying her hair. Unexpectedly, Brian came close to her and took the towel. He started towel drying her hair. A soft touch of Brian's hand on Urvi's neck made her heart flutter. Urvi was relishing the moment.

"Sharon, I missed you. I looked for you everywhere, but I couldn't find you. Where were you all this time? It's been 3 years but I couldn't forget you." Brian wanted to know everything about Sharon's past three years. Urvi was still confused about whether she should tell the truth. Brian hugged Urvi from back and whispered in her ear, "do you have something to eat?" Urvi's cheeks were blushing. She was nervous. Urvi veered around to Brian. They were close. Urvi wasn't able to take her eyes off Brian. Brian could feel her warm and heavy breath. He could hear her heart beating fast. Brian held Urvi's waist and pulled her close. He leaned forward and kissed her. Urvi closed her eyes and felt the sweetness of Brian's kiss. Urvi's heart was restless. She craved for more. She gripped Brian.

"Let's eat something. I am hungry. Shall we order something or do you have anything to cook?" Brian's words sound like a melody to Urvi. She forgot she wasn't Brian's Sharon. But she wanted to be Sharon. She wanted Brian to love her.

"Let's order pizza," Urvi replied. Brian ordered the food while holding Urvi tightly.

"I lost my memory, Brian." Urvi didn't want Brian to leave her as Sam did. For the first time after Sam's disappearance, Urvi wanted to love someone.

Urvi's unexpected response stunned Brian.

"I don't remember you. I remember nothing. I don't know how I ended up like this," Urvi continued. "How did it happen, Sharon?" Brian wanted to know everything Sharon went through these years. "I don't remember, Brian. I was in this house with a woman who told me I was in Coma for a year and when I woke up, I remembered nothing. She said she was mom," Urvi replied. She also said that she has been living as Urvi since then and wishes to continue living like that.

"But you have your parents. They might wait for you. When you went missing, they tried possibly everything to find you. I tried so hard to find you. We should go to your parents first." Hearing Brian made her anxious. "But I remember nothing. I will feel uncomfortable with them and they might feel it too," Urvi hesitantly replied. "Will they accept me? I don't think it's a good idea," Urvi continued. Brian hugged her and said, "Everything will be alright, Sharon. Don't worry. I am here with you."

The comforting words from Brian made her fall in love with him. Urvi decided not to tell the truth right now. "I will tell him everything once I get to know him," Urvi concluded. Urvi fell asleep in Brian's arms. Brian was happy to find his first love back. Though he was confused, he wanted to stay by Sharon's side. He longed for her for 3 years, after all.

After few hours, Urvi woke up all alone. Not seeing Brian by her side, she called "Brian! Where are you?" Brian wasn't there. With teary eyes, she looked for him everywhere. "Was it a dream?" She shattered on the floor.

"Are you up? I went outside to get coffee for you. Are you alright?" Brian asked. Urvi wiped off her tears and hugged Brian. "Please don't leave me alone. Stay with me. Hold me tight. Please!" Urvi mumbled.

"I am here. Don't worry. I won't leave you ever," Brian said holding her close. "I love you, Sharon. I have been waiting for this moment for years." Brian confessed his love for Sharon.

Urvi didn't want that moment to end. Even if she wasn't Sharon, she felt those words. She felt Brian's love for her.

But deep inside, Urvi was afraid. "What if the truth gets revealed? Will Brian leave me? Will I be never loved again?"

This uncanny encounter with Brian brought anxiety and desire to Urvi's monotonous life.
