After talking with the head engineer in charge of the construction of the soon-to-be office of his start-up, Daniel immediately went to the lobby of the building to check if Mr. Santos is available. On the way, he sent Mr. Santos a text message to let him know he was coming.

Upon arrival, Daniel went straight to Mr. Santos' office. Mr. Santos was already expecting him, so he came out of his office to greet Daniel with a warm smile.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Abelardo. How can I assist you today?" Mr. Santos asked.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Santos. Thanks for having the time to meet with me again. I have decided to lease one of the commercial spaces we checked last time in this building for the next two months while the renovation of my three floors is being completed," Daniel said politely.

"Of course, Mr. Abelardo. I'm happy to assist you. Which space are you interested in?" Mr. Santos asked.

"The first one I saw caught my attention. How much would the lease cost for two months?" Daniel asked. "I understand it's a short period, so I am willing to pay a higher rent price to compensate for it."

"That sounds fair enough, Mr. Abelardo. Let me just get and adjust the lease contract," Mr. Santos said as he stood up to ask his secretary to prepare the paperwork.

A few minutes later, he returned with the lease contract in hand. "Here are the details," he said as he handed it over to Daniel. "Our usual rate is ₱150,000 per month for a 1-year contract, but since you're only staying for two months, we can increase it to ₱200,000 per month."

Daniel winced at the amount, but he knew it was a reasonable price given that the condo was a premiere condominium. "I understand. Let's finalize the contract. Can we proceed with the necessary paperwork and payments?" Daniel asked.

"Certainly. Let's head to the admin office to finalize everything," Mr. Santos replied.

hey then proceeded to the admin office, where they signed the necessary paperwork and Daniel paid for the fees and rent in advance. With the lease contract in hand, he felt relieved that he had secured a space for his start-up while waiting for his floors' renovation to be completed.

After securing a space for his start-up's temporary office, Daniel returned to his unit feeling relieved. He indulged in a quick but satisfying late lunch before making his way to his home gaming/office room. With a press of the power button, his computer hummed to life as he entered his login credentials.

As the machine booted up, Daniel tapped his foot impatiently. Once it had fully loaded, he opened his email and scanned through the messages. He then turned his attention to check if he had received the signed job offers from the applicants he had been hoping to hire.

Most of the offers were already signed and ready to be processed, which relieved Daniel. However, as he scrolled down the list, he noticed that one applicant had not yet signed the job offer he had sent.

His heart sank a little as he noticed the unsigned job offer. Daniel quickly opened the applicant's file and checked for any notes or messages that could explain why the offer was not signed. Disappointingly, there was none.

Frowning in concern, Daniel decided to call the applicant and inquire about the situation. He wanted to understand if there were any issues that he could help resolve. If not, he would have to find a replacement candidate.

Daniel picked up the phone and dialed the applicant's number. After a few rings, a female voice answered and Daniel introduced himself.

"Good day, this is Daniel Abelardo, President of Inklusive Creatives and Advertising. May I speak with Ms. Lily?" Daniel asked politely.

"Hello, Mr. Abelardo. This is Lily," the applicant replied.

Daniel's tone was friendly yet professional, "I wanted to follow up and check if everything is alright with the job offer we sent you. I noticed that it hasn't been signed yet."

Lily hesitated for a moment before responding, "Thank you for calling, Mr. Abelardo. I'm still considering the job offer. The commute from Taguig City to Quezon City is quite far, and I'm not sure if I can manage it."

Daniel took a moment to think before suggesting, "If commuting is an issue, would you be open to discussing the possibility of relocation? Your skills are valuable, and we'd love to have you on board. We're open to exploring any options that could make the logistics work for you."

"I don't mind relocating, but I apologize, it's something I can't afford at the moment. Rent and living expenses in QC are higher compared to Taguig. The salary you quoted is really good and could make up for the higher living costs, but I don't have the cash flow to cover moving expenses," Lily explained.

Daniel thought for a while before responding, "If the company can provide you with accommodation while working for us, would that solve your problem? I can also cover the moving expenses."

Lily sounded surprised but grateful as she replied, "Thank you so much for the generous offer, Mr. Abelardo. But are you sure it's not too much trouble?"

Daniel replied confidently, "Not at all. We're committed to supporting our employees and ensuring they're comfortable in their work environment. If this is what it takes to have you join our team, we're happy to do it."

Lily was touched by Daniel's kindness and felt even more positive about the job offer, "That's kind of you, Mr. Abelardo. I would be open to discussing the details further."

"Great to hear that, Lily. We'll send you more information about the accommodation options we have available, and we can work on the logistics from there. We're looking forward to having you on board!" Daniel said with a smile.

After wrapping up the phone call with Lily, Daniel immediately contacted the head engineer responsible for the renovations on his company's floors. He explained that he wanted to add living quarters on the 44th floor for his employees, to make their lives easier and ensure that they didn't have to worry about long commutes after work.

"Would it be possible to create separate sleeping rooms, each with its own toilet and shower facilities, and perhaps a shared kitchen?" Daniel asked the engineer.

The engineer took a moment to consider before replying, "Certainly, Mr. Abelardo, we can make it happen. However, to accommodate the living quarters, we would need to move the recreation room to the 43rd floor. Is that acceptable to you?"

Daniel weighed his options for a moment before replying, "Yes, that's fine. I want to make sure that my employees are well taken care of, and that they have a comfortable and convenient place to stay if they need to work late or come in early. Please add the living quarters to the plan."

"Sure thing, Mr. Abelardo," the engineer said. "My team will get to work on this right away. At worst, it would only add a few days to the construction timeline."

Daniel breathed a sigh of relief. It felt good to know that his team would have a comfortable living space at their workplace and that he could take care of their needs. He thanked the engineer and hung up the phone, feeling confident that he was making the right decision.

After that was solved, he quickly composed an email to Lily regarding the details of the company's offer to provide comfortable living arrangements after the renovations were completed. In the meantime, he offered to provide an additional transportation allowance for the first month to make up for any inconvenience.

Within minutes, Lily responded with her agreement and sent back a signed job offer. Daniel was pleased with the progress and immediately sent out a company-wide email welcoming everyone aboard. In his email, he expressed his excitement for the first everyone's on Monday, March 20, 2023, and provided the address of the temporary office, Unit CS-103 on the 1st floor of the Orean Place Building in Vertis North.

He couldn't wait to meet everyone and get started on this exciting new venture.
