DON’T EVER DARE TO LEAVE ME

Irene knew she could not stand any longer.

"Victor!  Get up!"  Irene is struggling now as the man below her thrashes violently. 

How long Victor going to faint then?  She is the one that bruises here and there.  Geez! , Irene can't hold herself to insult Victor in her heart.

But just after that the man grab her and change their position, Irene manages to spin around and try to break free from the man but the man is clearly stronger than her.  Still, Irene refuses to lose quickly.  They are now wrestling on the cold floor. 

Irene can feel like this enemy is not really that good at fighting or she will be long died now.  She is struggling is just because the man is surely bigger than her.  Then she just tries to act smart by playing dead as the man is now desperately choking her.

Well, luckily the man is dumb.  When he saw Irene is not moving he assume that the girl is fainted.  He quickly let go of her and try to attack Victor again, his first target.

Irene opens her eyes a little and saw the man is now taking a flower vase beside Victor bed and trying to smash it in Victor face.

Quickly, Irene is back to action as she runs fast towards the man and hugging or should she said it strangling him from behind.  But to Irene's horror, the man still managed to throw the base out of his hand with speed and now, almost fall fast into Victor's head.

Suddenly, Victor's eyes are open wide and he, using his hands to avoid the vase from hitting his head, which is dangerous.  The vase broke and shattered as a result of the impact. 

Looking at Victor Is now awake Irene feel a little relieved, but the man that she holds have another plan.  He pushed Irene, who was clinging behind him towards the glass door connected to the big balcony, a couple of times, until the door forcefully, opened wide.

He kept walking reverse until he reached the corner.  Now, Irene is sandwiched between the man and the railing.

The railing is not too high, making Irene a little dizzy.  She knew that if she made a mistake, she could fall and die at such a height. 

"Let go of me if you didn't want to fall!"  He threatens.

But Irene is refusing.  To her, that man needs to be arrested and judge by law.  He is just about to kill a person back there.  And now he threatens to kill her.  How can she just let go of him just like that?

"Just give in and hand yourself over to the police.  Ahh!"

While she was saying that, the man managed to escape from Irene and went back to strangling the girl at the edge of the fence, until half of Irene's body was already in the air.  Irene eyes even can now see how high the area where they are.  She has no doubt that if she fall down, she will not survive that.

But, she wanted to know something even in this chaos.  The person, even with face covered with a cloth, she still managed to guess who it was.

"Why you do this Mr. Earl?  Victor trust you so much.  Is this because he fired you? "  Irene said his name. 

She knows the man is Mr. Earl, the maids supervisor.  But Irene didn't know what his real motif.  She knows there must be something else.  As people cannot just go around and kill their ex-employer just because they got fired right?

The man doesn't utter any words, but Irene knows its true because she can feel the hand that grabs her is kind of shaking.

"Look like I can't let you live now."  He said.  Obviously, he can't let a witness live, can he?

With that he tried to lift Irene to be pushed out of the fence to throw her down, but Irene still had the strength to fight.  Now, both of them is struggling.  They even forget, there's someone else there with them.

Suddenly,

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of loud gunfire suddenly rang out there. 

Irene continued to fall to the floor while Mr Earl, staggered, trying to balance his body because of the shot. 

Irene then looked toward the door.  Victor was seen there, still holding a gun, standing clinging to the door.  He is breathing heavily, but his eyes are full of murderous intention while looking at the man who is attacking Irene.

Mr. Earl, finally losing his footstep, and him, fell down from the fence.

"No!"

Irene got herself up and tried to save Mr. Earl from falling, but her hand didn't have time to hold him.  Her eyes now seeing something more horrible than just blood gushing out from the man's body as a result of bullet earlier.

Irene is closing her eyes for a while, trying to get hold if herself.  Before, she returns to see Victor.  He is looking a bit messy and miserable now.  His hand still held the gun, but its hanging to his side.

Victor observed the situation in the room at that time.  Enough to describe how much Irene struggled to deal with the intruder earlier.  But his eyes also caught the state of his confidential files on the floor.  Beautifully located and he just knows, Irene is the one reading them.  She finally finds out about his biggest, dark secret.

"Tch".  He is annoy now.

It's not like he doesn't want the girl to know.  He knows the time will come, but he wants to sort things out first.  That girl, even didn't have any feeling to him yet.  Knowing this, she probably never likes him at all right?  Because normally, people perspective of mafia, it's never good to begin with. 

Victor then remembers their last bickering.  Irene said she didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.  And that words hits him hard now even though before, he was still thinking to pursue her.  It just that, this time is different.  She also already saw him killing someone without even blinking just now.  How can she stay after that?

With his tired body, he walked fast towards the girl.  His unreadable expression makes Irene didn't know what to feel or talk.  Rough.  Victor held Irene's hand and pulled her hard.

"What are you doing?  It's hurt!" 

Irene's words at that time seemed unheard to him.  Victor still pulled her hard, forcing her to walk with him into the room.  Then, Victor opened the main door of the bedroom, wide, and pushed her out of there, next release his grip on the girl.

"This is your last chance.  Walk out of that door and never come back.  Or you will never be able to."  Victor said that without even looking at Irene.

Irene only watches the man.  Not just with her eyes, but with her heart.  The man seems so fragile, not like his always high and mighty side.  He looks broken.

"Victor.."

"Don't you hear what I just said?!"  He is now screaming.  This time he looks at her. With hurtful eyes.

"I give you a chance now.  Took it and leave.  I will never search for you again.  You are the one that said you don't want to have nothing to do with me anymore.  So now go!"

Of course, if she in the right mind, she will just run away as fast as she could.  Away from the man.  Even more so, after remember everything she saw and experience tonight.  But she just stood there.  Unmoving.

"I know you already know who I am.  My dark side.  You also saw with your own eyes just now how I can kill someone without even value their life.  That's what I do every single day.  You must be scared of me now.  Isn't that right?"  Victor asks, but to Irene, whatever he said just now, seem like he wanted her to be understanding.

"What is your reason?" Irene asked him.  Clearly her words surprised to the man, as it show in his face. 

Victor widens his eyes now.  Did this girl become more stupid or what?

"Don't you hear me just now?  I am a mafia.  My job is to kill people.  There's a lot of peoples blood in my hand!"

"And I ask you what is your reason behind that?!  You can't just kill people without reasons, and you, being a mafia also must have a reason behind it.  Reason for why you choose that kind of life.  Didn't I right?!"  Irene finally raising her voice.  Annoy by Victor loud voice to her now.

Victor didn't know how to react to that.  So, he just decides to let go of her.  Again.

"Just go...  Go!"  Victor is now pushing Irene forcibly with his hand to make the girl walk forward and leaving him alone. 

But after a few steps, Irene catch Victor hand that pushing her.  Then, holding the hand, a bit strong grip, to stop his action.

"I said go!"  Victor didn't refuse her hand, but he still screaming that.

"You are bleeding!"

Silent.  Both of them is now looking at each other as if the world has stopped moving.

"Geez."  Broke the eye contact, Irene inspects Victor hand that she is holding now.  She knows the wound is because of the broken vase, as there's some of the fragments in it.

"We need to clean this or you will get infected."  Irene said soft, sound worry.

With that Victor released the gun he was holding in his other hand, and then pulled Irene into his tight embrace.  Irene is actually shocked by the sudden intimate action, but she knows the man state at the time is not that normal, so she just let it go.  Just for tonight, she thought. 

And how wrong she is about that, after Victor said,

"Your time is up Irene.  So please...  Don't ever dare to leave me after this."  Irene could swear that she could hear cracking in Victor's voice just now.  As if he is crying.  But she didn't dare to say anything.

"Uh?  Victor? Are you okay?"  Irene suddenly felt her body become heavy. 

Victor suddenly fainted in her arms.  As he is quite heavy, Irene can't handle his weight and in slow motion, she tries to sit on the floor while hugging the man.  Doesn't let the man fall.  She then lays the man down before calling Ken, who instructs her to do so in case anything happens to Victor.
