Gerard sat in his study in deep thought. It had been long since he visited the committee and he knew that Madison was not joking with all that she said.

Gerard himself was aware of the repercussions of his actions but chose to ignore them and keep his marriage to Ayla a secret from the outside world.

It's still surprising that the committee would do this and what's more worrisome was how they got to find out about Ayla in just a few months of them leaving together.

He suspected that this had to be someone from the Jarek's mansion but who would dare defile his orders and take a rash decision such as telling the committee?

Gerard sighed in frustration. He thought he would be returning to the Jarek's mansion tonight but it turned out that he could trust anyone and needed to even leave this apartment as soon as possible for Ayla's safety.

He was frustrated but the only thing he wanted to do now was to stand by Ayla's side and protect her with his life.
