Joyce POV👯

.

"Joyce! Joyce...!"

My Father shouted from the from his room.

"Am coming!!!"

I answered and dropped the plates I was washing in the sink. I know the reason of his calling. I rushed to his room and kneeled before him.

"Do I have to shout your name before you can answer me!" My Father yelled.

"Sorry Dad... Am in the kitchen washing the plates" I pleaded. Facing the floor. I don't dare to look up to him.

"Okay"

Father hissed.

"The usual!" He said, bringing forward his right hand. I looked up with a sober face and I dipped my hands in my skirt pocket and I gave him my hard earned salary. He smiled and started counting it to check if the money is complete.

"Yes!"

He said and removed few wons (Won is Korea currency) and he gave it to me. Out of 15,875,659, He gave me 75,659 wons.

"That's your own" He said before standing up and he left for his room.

"And strive hard to get promoted at work okay!" he said before finally going inside his room.

I am still on my kneel with a pale face . The money I struggled hard for is owned by my father. He never knew how hard I worked for the money. As if He cares...

I've always live like that.

My name is Joyce, 25 years old maiden, l

am working as a waitress in a stripper club. Am living with my father because He never allows me to live on my own. My Mother died when I was 2, So I never knew my mum.

My Father is kind of cruel and strict man. He can be lively today and dull tomorrow, he punish me many times even when I don't offend him because he is a drug addict, he loves smoking and taking drugs.

Sometimes I'd feel like I don't belong to him. Most times he treats me like a bastard and hates me with friends, He had warned me many times especially when I was young. He told me not to make friends.

He said his best friends implicated him when he was young even though he never told me the whole story. I'd felt for him severally , he is having uncommon metal trauma especially if he is sleeping or alone in his room. He talks alone many times but I take that as the effect of the drugs he usually take.

We've never discussed a deep or long conversation. I mean Father to Child but he always remind me that I am not alone even though I don't friends and mother.

.

Still on my knees beside our small dinning table. A tears fell off my eyes

"Oh really! Joyce!" "You're not crying tonight!" I said to myself and smiled. I stood up and left for the kitchen to continue washing the plates.
