Chapter 2: What Do You Need Now?

"Do you have any free time, miss?"

"Don't listen to that guy at all. How about you have a cup of coffee with me instead?"

"Can I have your number?" There was one who went for the kill.

One by one, Yan Longwei could hear people speaking.

Girl.

From how they talked, he understood who they were talking to. But there were too many people.

From what he could see, the number of guys there could line up the block twice!

Well, this was not my problem. Yan Longwei didn't think much about it. They weren't bothering him.

And it would be done after a couple of minutes. As Yan Longwei was about to leave,

"Please, let me go."

"Come on, we only want to ask you out."

"There's nothing wrong with a cup of coffee. It will only take a minute."

Yan Longwei could hear it all. Dammit, I'm an idiot. He looked up into the sky and walked toward the center of attention. He pushed everyone away, and when he arrived at the center,

"Oh my god! It's been such a long time!" Yan Longwei screamed out in happiness and surprise.

Seeing how Yan Longwei stepped in like that, they gave him stink eyes.

"You know this girl?" They couldn't believe this nerd knew this beauty. It was too unbelievable.

"Of course! She's my friend. And she was waiting for me. Isn't that right?" Yan Longwei turned to the girl.

He gave a slight wink.

"Mmmhmm." The girl nodded.

"Well then, you guys should back off now." Yan Longwei gave an evil smile, making them all back-off. He didn't hesitate as he grabbed the girl's arm.

"Sorry about making you wait here for so long." Yan Longwei pushed the guys away. He wanted to leave before the guys had anything else to say.

After gaining some distance from those guys, Yan Longwei looked at the girl,

"Sorry about..." Yan Longwei was going to apologize. But his voice started to stray off when he saw the person's face.

Long straight black raven hair. Her eyes shined like jewels as she stared at Yan Longwei. This girl was a super beauty that no other girl could deal with.

But,

"Anyways, I'm going to go now." Yan Longwei quickly got his mind together as he waved his hand. He finished helping her out. There was no need for him to talk to her more.

But the girl did the unthinkable as she grabbed onto Yan Longwei's shirt!

Yang Longwei turned his head, confused.

"Do you need something from me?" He wanted to get out of the situation without getting any more attention. Even now, the two were getting attention from the people around them.

And that was because of this girl. Her appearance was just too dangerous.

She said in a small voice,

"Directions." Her voice was beautiful as well.

"..." Alright, let's do this quickly so we can leave. Yan Longwei had to do this quickly.

"Where do you need to go?"

"Um, here." The girl quickly took something out from her pockets, "Need to go here."

"Hmm?" Yan Longwei looked at the paper. It showed the name of a hotel.

"You need to look at the street signs. Once you cross through the green street, you take a left and walk three streets down. That would take you to the hotel." Yan Longwei said.

Before Yan Longwei even had a chance to leave again, she grabbed onto his shirt again.

"What do you need now?"

"Help."

Didn't I give you directions? He helped her more than enough,

"What do you need me this time?"

"Please lead me there." The girl asked.

There is no way I can do that. Yan Longwei wasn't going to have any of that,

"I'm sorry. But I have-" As Yan Longwei was going to reject her, the girl's eyes started to tear up!

To top it off,

"A couple's fight?"

"How could he treat his girlfriend like that?"

"What is wrong with him? He should be making her happy."

"For shame!"

Oh cr*p! Bit by bit, people were calling him out. Each word was stabbing him in the back!

Yan Longwei sighed, "Alright, alright, don't cry. I'll lead you to the hotel. But that would be it."

Me and my idiotic move. Yan Longwei could only look up at the sky with regret. There was nothing he could do about this.

Hearing how he would help out, the girl's face turned bright. She nodded her head, and the two moved.

As Yan Longwei led the girl, her eyes sparkled as she looked at the things around there. There were many stores around there.

"Is this your first time here in China?" Realizing how she looked at the stores, Yan Longwei realized it.

The girl nodded, "Mmhmm."

"I see." Yan Longwei didn't think much about it as he continued to walk. It was utter silence between the two! Yan Longwei didn't know what to talk about with her!

But when he turned around, he realized the girl was nowhere in sight!

Huh?! Where did she go?

Yan Longwei continued to look around and saw the girl standing near a stall. He walked over and noticed the hawker selling egg tarts.

"Hawker, can I get four egg tarts?"

"Gotcha." The hawker quickly took out the egg tarts and handed them to Yan Longwei.

"You got yourself a pretty girlfriend. I'll give you an extra one as well." The hawker said.

"Thank you." Yan Longwei wasn't going to say anything to that. If he got free food, that shut him up.

"Here." Yan Longwei handed the egg tarts to the girl. But the girl shook her head,

"You don't want that?" The moment Yan Longwei said this, the girl's stomach started to growl like no tomorrow!

Her face turned bright red in embarrassment.

"Here, just take it." Yan Longwei didn't think about it and handed it to the girl. He started eating his too.

Seeing how he ate, the girl followed suit and took a bite. Her face brightened,

"Sweet." "I know, right! It has the perfect amount of egg flavor and just enough flakiness!" Yan Longwei started talking about it. And the girl was nodding to all of this.

As they talked about the egg tart, it didn't take long before they arrived in front of the hotel.

"This is the place." The girl's face brightened seeing the hotel.

"Ok, good. Then I'm going to leave." Yao Longwei started to walk away.

"Thank you!" Behind him, the girl screamed out.

"Mmhmm." Yan Longwei waved his hand and left.

Today was a strange day.
