AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I scream and try to thrash around as pain shoots up my body, but I can feel hands hold me in place firmly which makes me panic even more.

Where the hell am I? And what's going on?

One minute, I was shot and was left for dead by a person I trusted the most and now I'm waking up with pain assaulting my body. I'm pretty sure Lloyd killed me. I'm pretty sure I'm dead!

I continue struggling even more but the hands hold me even tighter!

Damn it! What the hell is going on!

I decide to open my eyes and I see three, no, four people surrounding me, holding me in place on the bed.

"He's awake!" shouts one of them.

I don't know why but I feel my body tremble at the sudden shout.

First of all, I don't know who are the people holding me down, and second, I don't like the situation I woke up to.

I try to struggle even more but somehow, it's not working.

Why?!

I hear the door open and an elderly woman strides in. She has a smile on her face that makes me calm down.

"You're finally awake. How are you feeling?" she asks.

Did these guys save me or something?

"April, how are you feeling?"

Eh? She knows my name even though I don't know her?

"What's wrong April? Do you-"

Everything suddenly goes black which catches me off guard. I see myself, or rather a younger looking version of myself, on the ground with a gaping wound on my stomach. I look around and see everything is on fire.

"I don't want to die." says a voice which makes me look around.

What's that?

I hear it again and I immediately get myself in a guarded stance.

"I don't want to die!"

Calm down April. Remember what you learned; a calm mind can always figure something out.

"Do you really want to live?" says another voice.

I look at the direction where it's coming from and I can see a woman with long flowing crimson hair.

Looking at her is giving me some odd vibes. Who wears a white dress in the middle of a raging fire?

"Do you want the power to live?" she asks again.

"Y-yes."

A bluish-white orb suddenly materializes on her hand and she crouches, putting the orb closer to the younger looking me.

I got a bad feeling about this.

"Do whatever you want with this."

Eeehhh?

I suddenly feel something cold encase me and I can feel myself freezing.

It's so damn cold!

And with that, I find myself awake once more. But this time, I'm alone in the room and it's already dark outside.

What the hell was that?

Images suddenly pop up inside my head. No, they're not just any images, they're memories; memories that are mine yet not.

I am April Frost, an orphan from a countryside village. I was taken in by an orphanage after I was discovered in the ruins of my village.

If I am to take a guess, April Nera and the original April Frost merged. I remember my memories as April Nera, who obviously died after getting assassinated by a person he trusted. And just now, I have access of April Frost's memories, which makes the current me, both April Nera and April Frost.

Five years ago, the village I belonged to were pillaged by rogue werewolves and I was the only survivor. Dead bodies, dismembered limbs and blood were everywhere. Such memories were too much for a thirteen year old but not for a twenty year old like me.

Then there are also the memories of the red-haired woman who offered me another chance at life.

Hmm… With that information, it's safe to assume I'm in a parallel world right? A mirrored world of my previous world where I, April Nera, am April Frost. And if the village really was attacked by werewolves, then it's safe to assume that the supernatural exists in this world.

But it seems like this parallel world is behind a few years if I'm actually thirteen right now.

Wait… That's not right. If I (April Frost) was thirteen when my village got wiped out, which was five years ago, I should be eighteen right now, two years younger than April Nera.

But why do I look thirteen still?
