The Birth of the New Deities

With the creation of Alterra, volatile forces from the elemental powers of the four gods and goddess clashed together in the universe. The clashing powers beyond the creation of the heavenly body in front of them were so great in fact, that both Shephard of Souls and Lord of All again used their unique powers in unison. The union of the two omnipotent beings' power had already proved to create minor deities like their children.

The union between Lord of All and the Shephard of Souls's power had begun to create another life. However, this time, the powers released from their children had intertwined within this mingling of power. The life that had been created was chaotic and boundless. The birth of Horishikoth, the Goddess of the Void had occurred.

The power within the vessel of the Goddess had been too vast for it to have been contained on its own. As the power within this new life had started to go awry, Lord of All and Shephard of Souls used their powers again to split the Goddess into two beings. Both Kothrishard, Goddess of Light, and Dranishikoth, Goddess of Darkness, were awakened into the universe.

The awakening of their beings in the universe had spread the excess powers destroying their original form to the furthest reaches of the universe. The power released from the Goddes of the Void had created the stars in the universe from the excess might coming from Tiflos.

The baren planets, meteorites, comets, moons, and all other manners of solid bodies spread throughout the universe was due to the excess power received from Duranas.

Then the galaxies, nebulas, and even the galactic vapors of the universe had been created because of the powers received from Apphasis. Lastly, the universe had then begun to rotate. Any and all movement in the universe, the rotation of galaxies, the orbits of solar systems, the flinging of rogue asteroids had begun because of the release of excess power received from Aspherus.

All of these powers were only able to spread in this manner because of the panicking intervention from Lord of All and Shephard of Souls. The intervention flooded Horishikoth with such vast amounts of energy that the cosmos was born from her birth and subsequent death.

The two goddesses that were now in front of the other six deities had been in utter disbelief of what had just happened. The two beings both could feel and experience the creation and destruction of their former self, they wept.

They inherited the powers that involved the opposites of all beings. Dranishikoth, Goddess of Darkness controlled the power of the shadows, the power of negative emotions, the power of death, and the plight to give reason to all things malevolent.

Meanwhile, Kothrishard, Goddess of Light, controlled the power of light. The power of positive emotions, the power of healing, and the ability to dissuade malevolence. She was the other half of her sister Dranishikoth, the two together were what was to keep balance within the universe.

The two goddesses would soon create the restrictions that would bind the powers of the Primordial Plains from escaping from their realms. This was to prevent another such catastrophe that would threaten the very existence of the universe Lord of All and Shephard of Souls had created together.

This was their home, the two goddesses agreed with one another through their minds to make sure nothing could destroy their home. So they used their new powers to bind their siblings, they were no longer able to control their powers to the extent of self-destruction.

Of course, though however, the two goddesses were fair and placed the same restrictions upon themselves. The only beings the two goddesses could not restrict were their parents, for their omnipotence was key to sustaining this universe.

The siblings could wield their powers freely and however they wanted, though if they were to use them in a way that would threaten the universe they all called home, their powers would be sealed. The only ones who would be able to undo the seal and replace the restrictions upon them were Lord of All and Shephard of Souls.

The powers that had been released through the universe had combined into a new form of energy that was later called mana. Mana was the energy that fueled the universe, it was the power, gifted in a way, from the gods and goddesses to their creations.

The mana was the unification of all of their powers, and harnessing the power of one of them specifically would increase the powers one could express. They would need to be able to separate the mana into its desired components, pulling and extenuating the desired power from it. The purpose of separating the elemental mana was to increase the effects of the magic they can inflict. With the creation of the universe, Seraphimus and Septimus had created it using six distinct different powers. These powers were the manas given to their children to control within the universe they created.

Dark mana, power of Dranishikoth, Goddess of Darkness

Light mana, power of Kothrishard, Goddess of Light

Fire mana, power of Tiflos, Goddess of Fire

Earth mana, power of Duranas, God of Earth

Water mana, power of Apphasis, God of Water

Wind mana, power of Aspherus, God of Wind.

The easiest example one could give of the perks of separating mana into their distinct components would be healing magic. Healing magic on its own, through the use of ambient mana could do no more than heal light wounds like those of cuts and scratches. However, when strengthened through light mana in its purest form, healing magic would be able to regenerate missing limbs and even reconnect missing heads, if they had yet to lose brain functions.
