8 7. Executing An Executor

"Where has Kirei gone off to?" The Cardinal asked the priest in front of him.

"We do not have his location Cardinal. But it is believed that he has gone to hunt the executor Sancraid Phahn." The priest said to the Cardinal.

"Do you know why he is hunting a fellow executor?" The Cardinal asked as he was curious about the boy's unusual actions.

"We believe it is because of what Executor Sancraid had done to the village to which he was assigned to." The priest said to him.

"Wasn't that the same village that Kirei was deployed to, but due to how much time he was taking Sancraid was sent as well?" The Cardinal asked him.

"Yes Cardinal." The priest said as he bowed.

In another part of Europe in the outskirts of France a 16 year old Kirei running through the forest at great speeds as he has a frown on his face as he searched for his target. He ran a bit more before he stopped and jumped onto a tree and went to the top and started to look from there when he spotted a mop of white hair from among the trees.

'There he is.' Kirei thought to himself as he jumped down before starting his chase.

The man he is chasing, Sancraid is 19 years old as he is running from Kirei but he has a smile on his face as he ran. Kirei seeing that he still hasn't come close to him used more reinforcement to increase his speed and closed the distance between them.

Sancraid seeing this sent a powerful kick his way which Kirei blocked using his arms but the force behind it and the kinetic energy from him running towards the executor sent him flying back. But he managed to correct himself in midair and took out his guns and aimed at the priest.

Sancraid just chuckled in amusement as he looked at the 16 year old Executor who is looking at him with his dead eyes which were glaring at him.

"To think that the legendary Executor of the Church would betray it by hunting another Executor." Sancraid said with a nonchalant tone.

"The one I'm hunting is a cold blooded murderer." Kirei said as he trained his eyes on him.

"Pot meet kettle boy. We're Executors, we are all murderers. We are the ones who do God's work by eliminating all those heretical beings." Sancraid said with a crazed smile.

"Yes, that is our job as Executors. However, killing innocents, that is not something that I am willing to ignore." Kirei said with narrowed eye's.

"You care about that village too much. They were colluding with the Vampire! They don't deserve mercy!" Sancraid screamed with a crazed smile.

"No. They were just sheltering the little boy who was turned into a Vampire, they were protecting an innocent soul." Kirei said as he glared at the man.

"It doesn't matter if that boy is a child. He is a vampire, a living heresy. There is no way that we would let an abomination like that live!" Sancraid yelled at him.

"He was nothing more than a scared child! We are supposed to protect humanity and the innocents from other dangerous beings, not kill them along with other humans!" Kirei shouted as he got ready to shoot.

"Hah! Supposed to! We are humanities protectors! We are the ones who deliver our lord's justice!" Sancraid declared in a crazed tone.

"Justice is blind, not heartless." Kirei said coldly as he glared at him.

After all Kirei remembered the scene in front of him when he heard about Sancraid going to the village but the sight that greeted him was that of the villagers all dead and on the ground in their blood. Men, women, children, none were spared and it was all done by Sancraid. It was a sight of carnage and the moment he saw it he bolted from the place and after Sancraid which has reached this place.

Sancraid just looked at Kirei with a frown at Kirei's words begore he pulled out pistols and shot at him. Kirei quickly ran to the left as he shot back as he dodged the bullets. The both of them used reinforcement to enhance their abilities as they started to run at great speeds while they shot at eachother. Kirei's smaller height and black hair gave him a bit of an advantage as it meant that shrubbery and such will cover him while Sancraid who is older, taller and has clearly white hair is very easy to be recognised in the forest.

Eventually the both of them ran out of bullets and then they ran towards eachother and threw away their guns, but for Kirei's side he threw them at Sancraid. Both pulled out Black Keys, but Sancraid has the original while Kirei has his modified one. They both met and slashed at eachother and locked their blades as they glared at eachother. Kirei has an emotionless glare while Sancraid has a crazed glare.

"Heretic! That's what you are! And don't think I didn't notice your eyes!" Sancraid said catching Kirei's further attention.

"What about my eyes?" Kirei asked him.

"You always have those emotionless eyes whenever you do anything except when you're killing. I have seen the joy you have when you take a life and saw much you enjoy it, how you almost seemed to crave it." Sancraid said with his crazed glare.

Kirei didn't say anything and broke the block before he started to attack quickly as he did stabbing attacks which were being blocked by the older man but it was getting more problematic for him as the shorter key's gave Kirei a greater speed as in one second he could dish out five attacks from both hands.

'His Keys are shorter but it give him more speed to attack.' Sancraid thought as he kept on blocking as Kirei didn't give him any time to attack.

Kirei stabbed at him which Sancraid blocked but unexpectedly the younger exorcist let go of his Keys which shot towards Sancraids face. Due to the surprise attack he ducked and dodge the Keys but then a fist, courtesy of Kirei enhanced by his magic circuits and reinforcement hit him square in the face and sent him flying back with a broken face while the shock caused him to let go of his Black Keys.

He tumbled on the ground but corrected himself to see Kirei about to punch him to which he blocked by grabbing his right fist. Kirei attacked with the Keys on his left hand which were blocked by Sancraid as he had managed to get a hold of one of his Keys near him.

"You won't defeat me!" Sancraid yelled with a crazed smile.

"That's what they all say." Kirei coldly said before grappling the man left hand which was used to stop his right punch.

Kirei then threw the man over his shoulder and grabbed the longer Kays around him and stabbed the man pinning him on the ground.

"AAAAHHHH!" Sancraid screamed in pain when he felt the Black Keys stabbing him.

Kirei them grabbed the rest of the Black Keys and stabbed him. Now Sancraid has been stabbed by his own Black Keys on his knees, elbows and lungs as Kirei has the last two Keys in his hands.

"You can't kill me! I'm a man of God! You heretic, I can't be killed by a heretic!" Sancraid yelled out crazily as Kirei watched as he raised one of the Keys.

"You can ask God that when you reach HIM." Kirei said as he got ready.

Sancraid's eyes widened when he saw that as he opened his mouth to say something but Kirei quickly stabbed his Black Keys right at the centre of his forehead through his brain as any words that he might've said died on his throat as Kirei watched the light leave his eyes.

Kirei seeing that the man is now dead deactivated the reinforcement on his body as he breathed a sigh of relief, or the equivalent of it since he can't feel such emotions. He looked at the now dead body of the Executor before he looked at the night sky which has a full moon today.

"Well, I've seriously fucked things up for me. But... at the very least, those people can have peace." Kirei said to himself as he looked at the sky.

The poll is still ongoing. I calculated a bit and learned that Kirei fought in the Fifth Grail War when he was 38, Fourth in 28, so that means he will be 18 when the Third Grail War happens. So, two more years or whenever I decide to do a time skip so until the moment he summons a Servant the poll is open. You can suggest in the comments here.)
