Chapter 29, Pats?!

Nikami POV

[Hmmm... I guess the main characters do have their inner monologue, so I guess she will do that a lot. I always wondered when this happens in shows and games when the main character just starts talking in their head, I guess this happens. They just look like they are daydreaming or something. Though... She looked a bit mad, I wonder what she was thinking about.] I thought to myself staring at Yasachu while nodding a bit.

"Very well then, shall we go to the library already? I want to read...." I Sighed a bit as I walked towards the exit of the courtyard.

"Hey! Wait for me Nika! Do you even know where the Library is?!" Shukona followed up behind me, asking me a question.

I stopped on my tracks, I didn't actually know where I was going.

"...." I went silent because of my own stupidity.

"Maybe Shiromoru-sama is too excited to go read?" Yasachu giggled a bit while following behind Shukona.

"Well, I guess I should lead right? I do know where the library is!" Yuutsu laughed as she walked in front of me, grinning like she won something.

"Why do you know where it is? you are just a first-year after all." One of my eyebrows goes up, looking down at her green tie.

[In this school, their ties and the crosses of their uniform means what grade they are in. Freshmen are green, sophomores are yellow, juniors are red, and seniors are in blue.] I thought still staring at her tie.

"Well some of the girls who are fans of me are upperclassmen! So I know where the library is, they told me! How sweet of them right?" Yuutsu giggled at me still grinning.

I sighed at this and folded my arms.

"Go on then, let us go to the library." I glared at her ramblings.

Yuutsu laughed nervously and scratched the back of her head.

"Okay okay geez!" She laughs nervously and started to walk.

The four of us walked along a long hallway with big windows on the right side, the sun's rays shining into the hallways, the four of us were following Yuutsu while walking slowly....

After for a while, we arrived at two big doors with some golden platings on it. Both of them each had a big golden wolf carved into it, on the top of the door was a metal plate that had the words...

[The Library of Afosíosi Magic Academy.....] I thought as I read the letters above the door.

"Here we are! The Library!" Yuutsu grins happily at the three of us, feeling proud of herself.

"Truly amazing Kurogane-sama!" Yasachu smiles at Yuutsu, clapping slowly with her hands.

"Chu-chan! Don't call me that! We don't sound like best friends so just call me Yuutsu! Or Yuu-chan for short!" Yuutsu grins at Yasachu.

"O-oh... O-okay! Yuuts-I mean... Yuu-chan. " Yasachu smiles brightly at Yuutsu.

"Hmph, She just showed the way where the Library is! It is not that impressive!" Shukona puts her hands on her hips again, rolling her eyes.

"I agree, soon enough I'll memorize the pathing way of Afosíosi Magic Academy." I nodded in agreement to what Shukona said.

"Ahaha! Of course, you two always having your feelings of pride! It is so adorble~" Yuutsu laughs a bit, winking at us.

"It is adorable..." Yasachu muttered to herself, giggling a little bit.

"Kh?!- Ew!! Disgusting! How inelegant! Do not call me adorable!!" Shukona glared at both of them, now a bit red.

I coughed a bit to signal attention to me.

"Come on now, lets go in already." I sighed a bit, just wanting to read now.

"I guess Shiromoru-sama is extremely excited..." Yasachu giggles a bit again.

"Shut up commoner!" Shukona yelled at Yasachu.

"I-i'm sorry..." Yasachu nervously laughs, scratching the back of her neck.

"Hmph. Stupid commoner." Shukona folded her arms.

"Riighhhhhhtttt! Open sesameeeeeee!" Yuutsu grins and goes to open both of the big doors that had big golden wolfs carved into it.

The two doors slowly opened as she pushed them, at the other side of the door there was revealed a gigantic room.

Yuutsu stood in front of all of us bowed down.

"Welcome everyone, I present to you... The Library of Afosíosi Magic Academy!!" Yuutsu exclaimed happily to us.

There were long and wide bookshelves, with their own many books inside them. The room was extremely wide and tall, it almost resembles a common mall in the modern days.

There were chandeliers on the ceiling of the library which lit up the whole room. It was being it up by ocean blue fires, there are some stray ones as well. There are ocean blue fires around following students around somehow as a pet would.

"Thi-this is...." Yasachu glances at the whole room, her mouth agape and her eyes shot open.

As a commoner she has never seen such a library, she hasn't even seen a room this big in her whole entire life.

She just stood there, dumbfounded at what she is looking at.

"Hoo... This library is very big, as expected from Afosíosi Magic Academy, their library is full of information..." Shukona was shocked but not as much as Yasachu.

Shukona stood there looking at the room, with an impressed smile on her face.

]This is... Very big! The books are... There are So many of them! The mere sight of this makes me extremely excited, I want to read all of this! I want to read more about magic! Especially ice magic! I want to read all of it! All of it! I wonder if they have fairy king related books, well. I am sure they do, after all... This is the Library of Afosíosi Magic Academy!] I thought to myself, smiling without me even noticing.

"...." I was silent as I looked around the whole entire room, I had a huge smile on my face... I tried my hardest to keep my excitement to myself but I simply couldn't.

Yasachu noticed my smile and felt like she was just washed over a tsunami, Nikami was smiling! Fully smiling!

Not just slightly, not just a simple grin. No! It was a big and bright smile! Like a needy child getting given their favorite food.

Yasachu really was surprised at all of this, she felt a little light-headed. From the sight of this room and to Nikami's smile, she felt like she would faint.

Shukona noticed Nikami's big bright smile and chuckled softly.

"Geez Nika, you look like a kid." Shukona chuckled even more

Shukona looked at Yasachu and saw her face, Yasachu looked pale and she looks like she is going to faint any moment.

"Hey commoner, Why do you look so pale? Not that I care or anything but are you okay?" Shukona acted quickly and she approached the girl.

Yasachu was a bit confused as to why Shukona would care about her, I mean she did say that she didn't care but even she knew that Shukona was lying.

"Ahaha... I guess you could say I feel a bit light-headed its kinda gone now though, everything is such a shock to me! Since you know, I'm just a commoner." Yasachu nervously laughs and scratched the back of her neck.

"Hmph, at least you do know your place as a commoner." Shukona looked at the library, and then back at Yasachu.

"Though... If you feel light-headed again, just talk to me. I have herbs for things like that, But don't get the wrong idea. I'm not worried or anything." Shukona sighed and lifted her hands up to Yasachu's head and... Slowly patted the head small girl.

Yasachu flinched at the sudden touch... She looked up to the person who was patting her, it was... Shukona? why? why did she pat her? and why... why does her hand feel so warm...It felt so gentle too!

Yasachu couldn't believe it, Shukona... is patting her?! She would even be shocked if Shukona would let her touch her. But no... Shukona did this all by herself, She patted Yasachu on her own accord.

Yasachu turned red at this action, She's flustered and happy at the same time.

I noticed that I was just staring at the library with a big smile and I immediately stopped doing all of that, I was a bit embarrassed but when I looked around no one was looking at me.

I saw both of the two bonding and smiled a bit again.

"U-uhm... Excuse me... Wi-will you enter or not...?" I heard a squeaky and nervous voice say.
