MEETING SAMANTHA

At Geoffrey's and Jenifer's Apartment,

In The Living Room.

Harry: (To Geoffrey and Jenifer) I would like to meet my mother. I want to see for myself what she really looks like. So, I hope you don't try to stop me.

Geoffrey: (Turns to look at Jenifer's pale expression and then turns back to Harry) If that's what you really want, then we don't stop you. Just one thing, please be good to her. No matter what happens, she's still your mother.

Jenifer: Your father is right. I might've raised you, but she had you first (struggles to smile while trying not to tear up).

Geoffrey: (Writes down her address on a piece of paper and hands it over to Harry) Here is where she lives (Harry stares into the paper for a long time while trying to face reality).

At David's House,

At The Pool Side (8:00pm).

David joins Annabelle, who is sitting by the pool and staring into space.

David: Are you okay?.

Annabelle: (Forcing a smile) I'm okay.

David: (Suddenly laughs and Annabelle looks confused) I just remembered the time I thought you actually drowned in here. It was really frightening.

Annabelle: It's something I love to do when I want to think. I go deep down in the water. I'm sorry if I scared you.

David: I also remembered another thing.

Annabelle: Which is?.

David: (Looks deep into her eyes) I think I fell in love with you right here. (Annabelle suddenly smiles as he continues) The day you made me open up to you, I started to wonder about the kind you actually were. I wanted to get to know you more, all your secrets, I wanted to know everything. (Suddenly places his hand on top of hers) I know, this was never the kind of marriage you dreamed of. Meeting this strange person (referring to himself), whom you knew nothing about and getting married to this same person whom you absolutely had no feelings for. I can't help but wonder sometimes how you managed to pull it off, but I want to promise you one thing. I'll never let go of this hand, not until you tell me to.

Annabelle: (Suddenly tearing up) I had actually given up on love. The fairy tale weddings I used to dream of, I stopped dreaming of those a long time ago. When I met you, I immediately understood that was the end of my dreams. The imaginary world I created in my head, no longer existed, but here we are, sitting next to each other while having so much hope for the beautiful future we plan on creating together. With you and because of you, I feel so much at ease. Not because you gave me everything, but because despite marrying me, you never for once treated me badly. You showed me your true self and I want to be as open to you as I'll ever be.

David: I love you.

Annabelle: I love you too.

David: Are you ready to face this complicated life with me?.

Annabelle: As much as I love being married to you, (suddenly smiles confidently) yes.

David: All of these, it feels so unreal.

Annabelle: (laughs) I never thought I'd one day get married too.

David: (Smiles and hugs her tight while kissing and stroking her hair passionately) I love you so much.

At Robert's and Samantha's House

Samantha hears a knock on the door and she hurries to open it when she suddenly sees Harry.

Samantha: (Surprised and shocked) Harry? (5 minutes later, they're all seated at the table while staring into each other's eyes). How did you find me?.

Harry: Aren't you going to ask how I've been?.

Samantha: You finally woke up. (Suddenly starts tearing up) I remember seeing you four years ago, fighting for your life. It made me remember the day I had given birth to you. Believe me or not, that was the happiest day for me.

Harry: Was it?. So, why did you abandon me?. Did you ever wonder how I was doing?, did you ever for once think of going back to get me?. (Samantha doesn't respond as she looks down in shame) Dad told me you never wanted me. Now I know he wasn't lying to me. (Turns to Robert sitting next to Samantha) I met your daughter, turns out she's my step sister. I guess you wouldn't know how it feels to lose someone whom you thought you could be together with for the rest of your life. Your daughter and I, we once had that kind of relationship before. I'm not going to ask you to divorce my mom, because even if that were to happen, Annabelle is already taken by someone else. (Turns to Samantha) I may be calm right now, but don't expect me to accept you back. You abandoned me when I was just a baby, you didn't care about me, so you have no right to get my sympathy. (To Robert) I hope you really do love my mom, and I hope there won't ever be a reason for you to abandon her just like you abandoned your family. (Stands to leave) Thank you for welcoming me into your home (Samantha suddenly kneels in front of him).

Samantha: I'm sorry. I know I have no right to be a mother to you again... (Harry suddenly interrupts her).

Harry: You were never a mother to me. So, I'd appreciate if you never come looking for me. I'll take my leave now (Harry turns and walks out of the door, while Robert tries to console Samantha by hugging her).

1 Week Later

At Geoffrey's and Jenifer's Apartment.

Harry: (To Geoffrey, Jenifer and Diana) These past few days, I've been thinking of going back to Australia. I want to be able to start a new life. I'd like to go to school and study medicine, meet new people and most importantly, to have the kind of life I've always wanted.

Jenifer: If that's what you really want, I'll support your decision.

Geoffrey: Alright son. If it makes you happy, then I guess we're okay with it. Just don't go around making friends with the wrong people.

Jenifer: Your father and I know you've been through a lot these past few years, we all know it's not been easy for you and if this is the road you're ready to take, we hope it helps you move on.

Diana: And we're right here to support you, no matter what. So, just go on and live your life (almost tearing up) and be a good boy. I'll be here if you ever need someone to talk to, okay? (Harry nodes and goes upstairs to his room).

A Few Hours Later,

In Harry's Bedroom.

Harry is packing all his stuff into his bag when he suddenly decides to go through the pictures on his phone.

Harry: (Suddenly sees pictures of him and Annabelle. He stares at them for a while with tears running down his cheeks and then he starts to delete them one after another. Murmurs to himself) It's the right thing to do (wipes his face and then continues packing).
