The Beginning

It was dark and pouring outside, about 7 PM. The city lights were on and the rainy night had an aesthetic feeling to it. My mom dragged me out to join her on a parent meeting, so we could get to know the new High School that I was going to. I did not want to go because it would be boring but I went because this school that I was going to was brand new. New people, new grade, new everything. I never experienced anything like that. So I went along.

As I went along, we both entered the building and it was a small but decent space. There was a TV in the front and a couple couches in the back and chairs in the front. Me and my mom both went over and sat at the chairs in the front, because the staff were sitting on the couch.

Before we sat down, the staff and a man who had his legs crossed sitting next to the TV stood up and greeted us. It was only my mom and me who came. I truly felt some pity and sadness for the people working hard to make this happen, but not long after, another parent came. Since it was a new school event and it was a very small space, I had felt that this new school felt very underdeveloped. The main school staff greeted and took their turns on their part of the presentation, explaining how they are different then other schools.

The man who had his legs crossed was one of the main founders and soon to be principal Mr.Karney He showed us what the school would look like and that the building was still in construction. It looked somewhat modern and had a nice touch to it. The colours were nice and it wasn't those 90's school colours. They didn't have a funny mascot, which would be quite embarrassing. The design and the colors didn't feel old or out of style, it felt.. somewhat calm and subtle.

When I had first looked at Mr.K, he looked like someone I knew. He gave me a feeling of sentiment. I like how he likes to joke around a lot and he felt very playful. His voice was also very sweet.

There was also another man, he was the founder, like the actual founder. He made a quick introduction and left after like 30 minutes. He seemed like a busy man. I felt like he had been busy because he recently started to make a new school but he had the experience from his first school he had made. It was him that came to my city. I really wonder why he came to my city. Why this place..?
