The Hunt 2
After we finnish the fight we helped collect the cores and harvest all the valuable parts. Then the long chore of counting up the points begins.
"We have 215,483 points Jason." Kuruk called out. Hearing him i was slightly disappointed. I had expected it to be lower actually but the tier 5 boosted us over. I was disapointed because we had quit a few injured and everyone was exhausted after the battle, I was just hoping for more.
Standing up, "Everyone we have aquired a nice haul here. we are still short on points though. you will need to continue the hunt tomorrow after resting. i will not be going with you, instead I will stake it all to hunt 2 tier 5 beasts on the other side of the Guardian. With those 200,000 we will be only 25,000 short. Stay safe and slowly collect them. no need for more injuries or worse deaths." I calmly addressed my factio...no, my brothers and sisters. These were my family now.I was the big brother and I will protect them I vowed in my heart.

After jogging for 1800 miles I finally see the so-called "snake". WHAT the hell? one scale is bigger than my torso. the top of the snake was 30 feet off the ground. This isn't a snake but a living F*CKING wall. Calming myself down I call out, " Ms. Kimi, I request to pass."
A giant snake head appeared right next to me all of a sudden. I immediately fall back in defensive position. " Hahaha. Its so fun teasing the newbies." I hear a giggling sound in me head. "My name is secrets. I hold numerouse secrets. I also love to learn new ones. If you can give me one I find interesting I might gift you something. Otherwise you can just carry on over. All secrets you tell me are safe. I never share any secrets. My original species is truth viper so I can't lie. "
The only secret I have that I am willing to share is that I have started to refine dragon blood and use it to alter my bloodline according to a method I learnt in my last life. So stepping forward I cut my dind and willed out a drop of essence blood. taking the blood I started guiding in a specific way that cased it to continually split into thinner threads. After creating 100 threads I tooke the final drop of dragon blood out and did the same. Then I began to twist the blood strands together one of mine one of the Dragon's. Then in pairs until only one strand was left before absorbing it back into me.
"This is a secret method from my last life to alter bloodlines. you can also use it to purify bloodlines. " I said while gasping for breath.
"Mhmm. Marvellous indeed. It is only slightly less efficient than the bonding ceremony that certain races use. It is similar to how beasts evolve but is done with control instead of a breakthrough. Can beasts use it or only humans?" Ms. Kimi asked.
"It can be used by any being who has blood. Even beings made of crystal or metal can use it but it would require a higher level thsn mine to do so. " I replied seriously.
Pausing for a moment before she continued. "I have only one thing to trade of equal worth that I am actually willing to. Take your weapon and slide it between my two glowing scales," all of a sudden two scales started to glow with a soft red hue," you may use a drop of my blood essence. I am currently a flood dragon or quarter dragon. If i can evolve 3 more times I will be a dragon. Using this secret method I have a much higher chance." Snake, serpent, wyvern, drake, dragon is the eveloutionary path.
After agreeing and passing on the secret method I recieved the blood essence. It was 20 drops, which since it was impure dragon blood were far more valuable than most essence blood. What I would give for pure dragon blood. Then again I'd explode if I tried to absorb such potent blood.

Walking though the woods I began to search for tier 5 beasts so I can acquire the points I need, I cannot let my new brothers and sisters down.
I finally find an animal suitable. It is a tier five demonic ape. Demonic apes are solitary creatures before reaching tier 7. At that time their inteligence is as high as humans and they often forge small villages.
I decide to wait until it begins to eat as it has just killed a diamond elk. I slowly climb a tree behind it and use the skilla my master taught me to silently approach it from above. Everything was perfect up until I jumped at my prey.
As I was falling, assured of my victory, three black shadows lunged out of the forest growth at the same ape I was planning to kill. F*CK! THREE TIER 5 SHADOW PANTHERS!! I quickly decided om what to do. Swinging my glaive down I crush the apes head, using the counter-force I leap to my left away from the three panthers. Landing on the balls of my feet I crouch into a defensive stance, before lunging at the panther towards the right. As this panther seemed the fastest, I decided to try and take it out first so I would face less pressure in the fight.
My glaive whistled through the air at the panther who on instinct swong it's paw to attack me as well. The claws ripped through my vambrace cutting deep into the meet of my forearm. Luckily it didn't sever the tendon and the rest would heal pretty fast with my vital qi level. I send fire mana to cauterize so the bleeding would stop. I could not allow bloodloss to effect the grip on my weapon. My glaive blade landed on the beasts skull, killing it at the same time it injured my arm.
The other two panthers respond when the see me kill their friend. one jumps at my throat as the other lunges at my calves. Quickly rolling left to dodge, I come to a stop in a slightly crouched defensive staff stance.
Taking slow steady breaths I prepare for a deadly battle, where even one mistake will likely be my last. As both beasts lung again I swing up towards the right while also sliding right on the balls of my feet. Knocking one panther back with my glaive as the other's lunge takes it past my left side. I lash out with a side kick at its ribs, breaking one. Looking over I see the one I hit has a gash on its shoulder were my glaive hit it, I was aiming for the neck bit it managed to dodge.
Jumping at the one I kicked I prepare to slash down when I feel a coldness behind me. I quickly role forward feeling a burning pain in my lower back as the panther I ignored because of the chance jumped out of my shadow. This most be a genius shadow panther as usually only tier 6 shadow panthers can shadow walk. Sending a quick flame down my back I seal the wounds. I would blast them with mana but their shadow magic eats almost all types of mana so there is no point. Seeing I have no choice I finally eat the "Demon's Rage" pill, instantly feeling my strength and agility skyrocket. Knowing I only have three minutes before I fall unconscious, I became a blur quickly killing them. Thowing all 4 beast corpses into my void ring, i quickly race back from where I came. Hopefully my team will be there and can help me.
After passing the serpents body I hear "head to the east of the scorpion nest" in my head. Recognizing that it's the voice of Ms. Kimi I heed her advice and turn in that direction. I have barely 56 seconds before the backlash hits and knocks me out. I can only add one minute by burning my blood but then I'll be out even longer and cause severe damage to my body.
After 50 seconds habe passed and seeing no signs i quickly burn my blood wich doubles my speed as well. I am now running at nearly 600 miles per hour, nearly 6 times my regular top speed. it wasn't for another 20 seconds before I saw James running towards me like his life depended on it. Seeing him I stopped burning my blood and embraced the darkness.....

Waking up I felt like I would rather be the panthers food. F*ck taboo pills, and screw burning my blood. James looked at me with a little worry. "We only have 30 minutes boss. you need to get up and turn in the cores. Only a faction leader can turn in the cores fore his faction. Also if you sirvive all this im sure Nizhoni is going to kill you. What really surprised me is Razor he was terrified when he thoughy you died. You need to talk to that lizard. " James and Razor were really competitive and constantly called each other names, what surprised me was seeing that James was worried about him.
"I know you two are close but how come you do not know what is up with him?" I had cone to depend on his intuition.
"Some form of magic is blocking everything about it. In fact the only thing I could ever read on Razor was that he is meant to be your follower. " James explained abashed.
