"Seeing as you have more than two elements you have the possibility to become a mage but because your talents are not that high you can only go to the Counts Magical Academy. If you follow the knight path you can probably get into the Dukes magical academy once you come of age. Your training will be handled by us until you're twelve which is the earliest age that the kingdom allows." said Martha.

"So the question is, do you want to be a mage or knight my boy? Charles asked with a smile.

" But father, why can I not train as both a knight and a mage?" asked Jason.

Seeing his wife look at him Charles resigned himself to breaking the news to their son, " Jason, there is a name for those who practice both paths, they are called eldritch knights. They are often stronger than five knights or mages of the same rank as them. The talent, work, and comprehensive ability needed to walk this path are insane....."

" This is the path I want to walk father!" Jason quickly interrupted Charles.

"Sigh....son it's not that simple. to advance in tier both paths have to advance simultaneously or you will die. Because there is only so much training you can do in a day your progression through ranks will be slower not to mention the tiers. Also every academy demands that their students be at least one star in their chosen profession which will further lower you advancement speed. With you 3rd tier mortal body and only slightly above average talent in mana it would be hard to even reach the 2nd tier by 15. Also eldritch knights lifespans follow the same path as knights and not mages. This path would probably kill you before you reach your knight tier evolution."

Hearing this was a shock to Jason. He figured that it was a difficult path to be sure as there is no free meal in this world, for such power you had to earn it, but he never thought it was this lethal. Remembering the tragedy of his past life his will firmed though. Looking his father in his eye he responded, " This is the path I will follow."

Seeing the look in his three year old sons eyes Charles was silent for a moment, it looked like he was searching for something: maybe hesitance, fear or doubt. But after looking for a while and finding none he finally responded, " If you walk a step onto this path there will be no leaving it," Jason nods his head in acceptance," sigh.... we will start your training on the history of the world tomorrow, at the end of the week you will be able to speak to your ancestor spirit to ask for the body forging art you wish to practice. Before the ancestor you will feel called to the weapon or weapons that are closest to your soul and from then on when shall begin your training in martial arts.

"We live on Lava Tiger Island, the seat of power for Duke Mathews, who is in service to a kingdom from the closest continent. The kingdoms name is Demon Tiger Kingdom, and is ruled by King Kevin and his family. This is only a small kingdom on the continent. The king has ordered that all practitioners learn a proffesion or trade skill so that when war come or they retire, they will be able to help the kingdom. While you must learn a trade or proffesion you dont need to pursue it past the first star unless you want to as that is all thats required by law. This world often receives new people from outside this planet who reincarnate with their memories intact. This happens once every five thousand years or so and there is usually between 100 to 500 people who reincarnate at that time."

Before this Jason was calmly taking notes but on hearing this part of the lecture he was appalled . His mother seeing his face couldn't help but laugh, "Hahahahaha, did you think we did not know you were reincarnated? Why would we let a 3 year old decide their fate? while the children of our world mature faster than the other worlds people come from its not to such a degree ," Martha couldn't stop giggling especially with how shocked and offended 3 year old Jason looked.

It was the third day of his history class with his mother. Jason was actually happy he no longer needed to try to hide his intelligence. He also found out what had got him caught in the first place, it was when he cast his soul out the first time, apparently his oldest brother Justin was a beast tamer who specializes the soul. Justin felt the vibration from my soul when I cast it out before and notified our parents letting them know I am a reincarnator.

"Today we are going over travel and messages. The island we are on has an area of 100,000,000 square miles. It would take mortals years to cover the whole area. As a practitioner you have access to other more expedient opptions. Tier 5 and higher practitioners may use teleportation formations, without the tier then no matter background or personal power you can not use them. Our island only has three teleportation formations. The blacksmith guild, alchemy guild, and the Dukes Palace all have one. Those are all far from you, so let's move on to the other methods for travel. There are different beasts that can be used, beasts are animal practitioners. the higher the tier of beast the faster it can travel. Until you reach knight tier it is best to buy a mount. knights usually will have a family member or close friend who is a beast tamer perform a spell called soul transference on them. This spell casts their soul into the world or if you have special materials it can even send it to other worls for a time. once it is cast the person will have a chance to find a beast that resonates with it. People can only bind with two beasts in their lives in this manner, the only exception is warlocks who are a special and supremely rare form of beast tamer. The beast you will have before then are only bound by a spirit pact . The ones you bind during soul transference are there after referred to as a soul beast, if their master dies they die and the opposite is usually true as well. My spirit beasts are a flame jaguar and a lightning falcon. You father has a four armed ape and a jade monkey. My soul beasts give me stronger attack power and better control over my elements, while also being great mounts. Your father's beasts are perfect for him as the give him supreme strength, nimbleness, speed and defense. Currently we can only battle beside our companions but if we can reach the ninth tier we can do beast merge which will allow us to become one making our power increase by 15 times. Your father's beasts can not be used as mounts though so he must still use a spirit pacted beast, he has a tier 6 lightning hippogriff that can cover 80,000 miles in day. A tier one beast can cover a thousand miles in a day which is ten times faster than a mortal horse which at maximum can only travel a hundred miles in a day. A tier 2 can cover double the distance of a tier 1 and while this trend continues all the way to tier 5 after that the distance traveled is multiplied by ten. The final method of travel is by airship all the airships in the kingdom belong to the guilds or the king. The tickets for the ships are insanely expensive, but the ships we have on the island can travel fifty million miles in a day."

Hearing these numbers both shocked and excited Jason. With a world so huge how could he not find an adventure to make his heart race.

" Now let's move on to messaging. mortals often use pigeons but they can at most travel a little over a thousand miles. Practitioners mostly use one of three methods depending on the distance and urgency: lightning hawks which are fare to small to be a mount but are insanely fast. they can travel a hundred thousand miles a day but can get lost if the distance is more than six hundred thousand, message glasses which can instantly send a message to whoever you want as long as they have a communication ring and you are within eight hundred miles but a message glass shatters after each use and it cost ten thousand gold for each one, the final method is a magic mirror it's reusable and can send messages directly to anyone and appears as a flat plan in front of them. A tier one magic mirror can send a message up to five hundred million miles but it's consumes three tier one mana stones with each use, each mana stone costs a million gold and I have know idea how much a magic mirror costs."

Jason was part of the Kovar clan, the main proffesion of the clan was smiths and therefore the clan made a lot of money. whose annual income was three billion gold. Charles as the first elder of the clan had an allowance of ten million a year, and usually could earn an additional twenty million a year as a tier 3 runemaster which is a blacksmith who was also an inscriptionist. His mother as a outer guest elder received an allowance of a hundred thousand gold and earned nine million a year as a tier 3 formation master.
