28 The demon in human land

"Your Highness!" Lin Yi shouts, astonished yet the look of relief in her eyes warmed Yi Hua's heart, she could see tears forming in Lin Yi's eyes.

Yi Hua gasps, Lin Yi cries out in relief and runs towards the pillars separating her and Yi Hua on her knees, Yi Hua grabs the pillars and scans the injured Lin Yi, the white clothes she had, that was similar to all the prisoners in here, was stained with red bloodstains.

Face, hand bruised with dried blood, "Your Highness, you are back." Lin Yi says in between her tears, Yi Hua couldn't help but tear up, "I am so sorry, Yi Yi." Yi Hua says, startling Lin Yi along with Dao Ye.

"Your…H-Highness, why are you apologizing?" Lin Yi says, shaking her head, Yi Hua sniffs, and hanging her head she cries before looking up and facing Lin Yi, "I brought you to this. I promise I will bring you out, very soon."

Yi Hua says, wiping her tears, Lin Yi smiles and nods her head, "You are back and I am already happy, Your Highness." Lin Yi chuckles and wipes her tears, "Dao Ye!" Yi Hua snaps, turning around.

The man stiffens, hearing him being called out loud, "Yes, Your Highness." Dao Ye says, bowing his head and standing upright, "I want you to send some physicians and treat her wounds." Yi Hua stands up.

"But…Your Highness, we aren't allowed to have the prisoners treated. It's a part of their punishment." Dao Ye says, hesitantly, Yi Hua gasps, "What are you so cruel for?!" Yi Hua shouts at him and stands up.

"It's Your Majesty's order…" Dao Ye says, scratching his head, Yi Hua scoffs, "Then I will do it myself." Yi Hua says, startling both of them, "Lead me the way." Yi Hua says, demandingly.

"Your Highness but-"

"It's my order, lead me the way. If Your Majesty punishes then it's me, alright?" Yi Hua says, with so much confidence, "Your Highness, you don't need to do that. I am alright." Lin Yi says, trying to get up but she falls to her knees.

The chain clinging to her ankle clinks, catching Yi Hua's attention, pressing her lips in a thin line Lin Yi hides the chain with her white down, avoiding looking at Yi Hua.

"Lead me the way to the physician." Yi Hua says, looking away from Lin Yi and eyeing Dao Ye, the guy gulps and nods his head, wondering when the princess got so demanding and dominating.

"Your Majesty." The Eunuch calls out, looking at the king and then away, everywhere but the king.

Noticing the weird behavior of his Eunuch, Yi Yongxi frowns, "What is it?" The king speaks, looking straight ahead with a stern look on his face and a solemn demeanor.

"There has been a letter from the demon king." The Eunuch speaks, fiddling with his fingers behind his back, the king frowns, "Wasn't the matter solved? What is this for? Didn't you reply him with what I had prepared?" The king cross-questions, startling the Eunuch.

"Your Majesty, the reply has been sent. And there is a response letter from the demon king." The Eunuch responds back, sweating before the king, "Then bring the letter to me." Yi Yongxi says, with a deep exhale.

The Eunuch nods his head, "Bring the letter!!" The Eunuch shouts out loud, just the door to the throne hall opens and Zhou Yu walks in, blank face and his sword draped against his waist.

Yi Yongxi frowns, seeing Zhou Yu before him, I mean, a subordinate of the king himself appears before the king, it did seem weird enough for Yi Yongxi, shifting a little Yi Yongxi raises his head straight at observes Zhou Yu.

"Now that the demon king has sent his best man with this piece of letter, what do I expect?" Yi Yongxi says, tilting his head and slightly mocking Zhou Yu with his upright gaze.

"Something surprising, of course." Zhou Yu replies, nonchalantly, Yi Yongxi grits his teeth feeling offended and humiliated because of the comeback, Zhou Yu couldn't stifle a chuckle and smirks at the king.

"So I wonder how it surprises me." Yi Yongxi replies back, gulping down his rage and forcing out a smile, Zhou Yu also flashes a short smile and walks ahead with a blank face, handing the eunuch the notice and taking a few steps back.

Standing still, Zhou Yu watches Yi Yongxi slowly unroll the scroll, Yi Yongxi squints his eyes going through the lines, the further he reaches down the lines the more his frown deepens as he squints his eyes harder, finding it hard to believe what he was reading.

He stands up in a swift motion, "What does he mean by he will select himself someone else? If not the royal blood then what does he want?!" Yi Yongxi roars, throwing the scroll away which lands on the ground with a thud and rolls around before Zhou Yu's feet.

The eunuch flinches, Zhou Yu heaves out a sigh, "I did expect such a reaction from you, Your Majesty. So, I was asked to deliver the news myself so I can help you understand." Zhou Yu speaks, shrugging off.

"And what is it that you gotta make me understand? You know right, refusing royal blood means humiliating us?" Yi Yongxi says, through his gritted teeth.

Zhou Yu chuckles, "Shouldn't you be thinking of your daughter here? If Our demon lord wishes to not marry her, wouldn't she be unfortunate?" Zhou Yu adds, chuckling as he mocks Yi Yongxi.

The eunuch widens his eyes and gasps, Yi Yongxi fumes in age at his words, "Anyway, My lord wants to visit the human land and select a bride for himself. If your Majesty's daughter can win his heart then, so be it."

Zhou Yu says, smiling. Yi Yongxi clenches his fist, wanting to chop off the head and smirk but knowing his power as a mere human against the demon would be unfruitful for him and his country.

"I will prepare a stay for him. We will talk about this on his arrival but I hope to not have lots of demons invading my territory, just you and him." Yi Yongxi says, sitting back on his throne, relentless yet self-composed.

"As you wish, Your Majesty. I will let my King know of your request." Zhou Yu says, bowing his hand and smiling at Yi Yongxi before he walks away.

Yi Yongxi smacks his throne once Zhou Yu walks out of his sight, "That filthy demon!"
